Fab little venue, with a good selection of new and craft beers. Didn't eat here but was very tempted by the cheese & onion baps on the bar, love these 😁

What an absolute gem! The Tap and Barrel is an absolute delight. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warmth and a welcoming atmosphere that sets the tone for a fantastic experience, Lou and Rob have really outdone themselves! The whole place is cozy and inviting. I found the service to be attentive, friendly, and staff were willing to go the extra mile to make me feel comfortable. However what truly sets the Tap and Barrel apart is the atmosphere. It's the kind of place where strangers become friends over a shared love of good beer and great conversation. Whether you're stopping in for a quick pint or settling in for a leisurely evening, you'll feel right at home. I can't recommend the Tap and Barrel enough. Good tap room, selection of 6 cask (singletons, notts) so most of their offerings, as well as keg and real cyder. Pool table upstairs which is unusual for a tap room. Friendly.

I've popped down to Wigston for a pint in the Tap & Barrel and to sign their petition. The Two by Two Session IPA is fantastic and I'm looking forward to sampling a sour next! 😀 Rob & Lou have created a lovely little pub but sadly the developer wants to convert the upstairs section of the block into flats. This will affect 6 adjacent businesses and possibly force the pub to close as they will lose their toilets and a good number of seats upstairs. The cost of installing toilets downstairs and the space that would occupy might make the business unviable........ 😞 Please give them your support by signing the petition in the pub and/or objecting to the planning application by the 9th of June!

Must say went with my son who is more expert than me. But atmosphere was good,customer of mixed group but very enjoyable. Selection of drinks phenomiable.If you cannot find something to your taste, you are a philistine. Well worth a visit.

i loved the tap and barrel.. Its nice querky place thats relaxing, chilled and comfortable. The open fire was on but sure it would be lovely in the winter.. Beer menu was very good with neipas, pales, ipas and many more.. The owner is a top bloke and the locals.. ive never been in there but will be returning..

Called in with an old work mate. We were served by Lou who was awesome to say the least. The choice of craft ale was superb. I'll definitely be coming back. Bar games were super fun too. Highly recommended.

A little gem in Wigston Magna with quirky decor, great selection of ales & ciders - best of all it's so friendly & welcoming with a mostly mature clientele so very different from the local Wetherspoon pub just up the road. Highly recommended!!

Wheelchair accessible but no toilets on the ground floor at present. Cider board and beer board listing the days beverages are next to each other one being 12"×3' ish the other 3' x 5' ish giving description, price and abv of beer or cider. You can find beer listings on untappd daily updated.

Not cheap but an incredible selection of craft beer of all strengths. Very friendly staff and locals, a benefit of being only a stone's throw from the Wetherspoons who cater for the riff-raff 😉

I'm originally from Wigston Magna. But have lived in America for the past 30 years. Came home for a visit and absolutely love this pub. Amazing friendly staff/owners. Cozy friendly atmosphere and great drinks. Dog friendly too.

Interesting new style pup with a good range of real ales. Food also available and good with excellant cheese and onion cobs. Hours open could be longer.
