Oriental Chef in Oadby and Wigston

my brother Ryan left a review here but it was biased because his friend's dad co-owns the restaurant so i wanted to try it out. the chicken chow mein was mid and i didn't like anything else. so that answers the question: yes that review was biased. not sure its for me, lord.

Haven’t had a takeaway from here is a while, but got a selection of dishes that were all fresh and delicious plus reasonable and prepared quickly. Would go back

I love noodles. I came across this place after a friend recommended it to me and it was the best Chinese takeaway place for miles. The service was significantly better than others in the area, including Oriental Star; the staff were extremely polite and friendly. Of course, I had to order some noodles, and it wasn't as salty as others in the area and it had no soy sauce accumulated at the bottom. So delicious. I would definitely recommend for anyone living in the area. Great service, great food, reasonable price. Thank you, Lord.

We don’t have regular takeaways but last nights meal was excellent and service brilliant - great value for money so will be visiting again. The beef with fresh ginger and spring onions was delicious

Been waiting 2 1/2 hours...ordered from elsewhere instead

First time ordering from here and it was really delicious. Hot and tasty, everything hit the spot. We had the salt and chilli pizza box (along with other dishes) the box had so much in it and was a yummy naughty treat. Delivery was good too, no complaints here. We have found our new favourite Chinese.

I ordered a Chinese at half 6 and I had to phone the Chinese back up and the driver hasn’t been back for 25mims and now I have to go and collect my food

Abysmal service, the order was phoned in 40 minutes before the required time, on arrival they took my money and only then put the order into the queue for cooking. Only take cash, no staff wearing PPE, not a happy experience.

First time we’ve ordered from Oriental Chef in Oadby. The food arrived on time for a £3.50 delivery charge to Kibworth Beauchamp. The Overall meal was extremely tasty, Mine could have been slightly warmer however my husbands was hot. I put the temperature of mine down to how busy they currently are due to the current Covid 19 situation. The phone call was easy and clear with price including delivery given. Cash on delivery. The delivery service were wearing gloves and mask. Highly recommended. We will be returning.. Enjoy.. 5 star ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Good range of authentic and more western dishes. As my partner used to live in Asia, this suits us well. I'm a big fan of their Pizza boxes that are filled with side dishes, these are great with a beer or ten. Lovely staff too.

Absolutely wonderful customer service. Each time I come here for a takeaway, they staff are always so polite and attentive. They also have an excellent telephone manner and are very patient. I placed an order and within about 5 minutes it was ready. Piping hot and fresh. The food here is always delicious. Would definitely recommend the vegetarian "chicken " and king prawn dishes. I asked for them to be extra spicy and they had no problem accommodating my request at no extra charge. They also gave us free prawn crackers which was a bonus. Deserves 10/10 stars. Xie Xie!

I didnt like the wings, far too dry

I didn't have the best of meals the other week and it put me off But last night we gave it a second chance and I have to say last night you were back on your game fantastic meal 5 gold stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

First tried the Oriental Chef on New Year's Eve and thought the set meal we chose was lovely. Went back today as our daughter, who was up from London, fancied Chinese. This time we picked out favourite Chinese dishes, lemon chicken, beef with garlic chilly black bean sauce, chicken chow mein, spring rolls, fried rice and sesame toast. All absolutely gorgeous, as were the complimentary prawn crackers!! We will definitely be back!

Best vegetarian "chicken" ever!

Food was as I'd expect from a takeaway, nice but not exceptional. Losing another star for quite a long wait after the time they said it would be ready.

Their pizzabox is beautiful, it can easily feed 3 people if not more. We have HAD that a few times and it fills us up. Service with a smile, a genuine family run restaurant with great food. Definatly recommend

Have you tried the new special pizza box chilli and salt? I have and it is delicious. Spare ribs, chicken wings, chicken balls, crispy chicken, crispy shredded beef, mini spring rolls and chips. Great value.

Quite the best Chinese takeaway in Oadby. Always excellent food and friendly service. Definitely five star!
