The best restaurants in East Midlands

This is a lovely little find. Inside it looks like a beautiful tearoom overlooking a small very picturesque lake with waterfowl and irises. The staff were all super friendly and seem like a wonderful happy team. The food was very tasty and there was a huge selection, all cooked fresh with generous portion sizes. The cakes were incredible - if I lived closer I’d go everyday for a month to sample every cake.

I had a full English there with my toddler, and the food is delicious. Coffee taste fresh and brewed to perfection. The staff are really friendly and attentive, made me feel really welcome. Toilets are nice and clean. This is probably one of the nicest cafe atmospheres in Castleton, definitely a must-visit when you come to the area.

All round great pub. Nice courtyard, great selection of beers, changes regularly. Nice friendly atmosphere. Old school pub, always busy.

Absolutely amazing meal! It was lovely to sit outside in the terrace and the food was delicious. Would absolutely recommend

I eaten here for dinner and the pizza has been incredible. Today I bought a lunchtime 'pizza wallet' for £5. A superb margherita pizza, folded in half to takeout. A great pizza, ready in less than 10 minutes for a great price.

Nice place. Helpful staff. Food was a little overpriced for what it was. Beef burger patty was small, tasty though. Breakfast waffle was big a fluffy but the maple flavoured golden syrup spoilt it a bit. If you've not real maple syrup, state it on the menu

Simply the best. People leaving one star reviews are straight up clowns. If you want your eggs a certain way or meat well done, just ask! They even get the temp of the butter served spot on.

Had lunch yesterday with my brrother and my son. Staff were attentive but not smothering, amd all so.frienfdly. Lady manager made time to chat and was so nice. Food was really good, couldn't fault it. Portions were generous and I will definitely go back even though it's not nearby. They get an awful lot right!

Staff very friendly and loads of games to play only problem my self and partner was made to feel unwelcome by other people who have been before and to feel uncomfortable

We stayed 4 nights in a very comfortable room with parking outside and very good disabled facilities. All the staff were superb, they couldn't have been more helpful. The food alone is well worth a visit!

The food choice was great and portions were fair. The service was on point and the atmosphere very welcoming.

Food was incredible, some of the best Italian food I've ever had. The service was also wonderful our waitress, Jess, was very attentive and catered to all our allergies and needs.

Such an amazing place. Relaxing and enjoyable. Great hospitality from Sandip and all the staff. Highly recommended. Had the fully English breakfast, great portion and very tasty.
