Great food, amazing staff, lovely atmosphere. We had tried several times to get a booking and they were always fully booked. Now we know why. We will definitely be going back time and again. The desserts were sublime too. Update 1 (9 or so months later)- this place is still amazing and the staff here are just the best. Looked after our family so well, and the food is sublime Update 2 (6 or so months after last) - still great and nothing but a brilliant place run by a friendly and passionate team. Hats off to them

Superb. We have just moved into the area and have discovered this excellent Italian restaurant. Authentic in every respect. The staff are lovely and food incredible. We will become regular customers in the coming years.

A wonderful and varied menu with high-quality fresh ingredients and good portions. Very friendly and accommodating staff. There were some lovely extra touches with it being my partner's birthday, which were all very much appreciated. Believe the hype, we'll definitely be back.

My father was visiting so we took him here to try the food as we had heard good things. We all had different main courses off the fairly limited menu but all tasted fantastic and all cooked well! Was a nice touch getting a shot of their fresh limoncello at the end. Will 100% return again

Just when you think La Storia can’t get any better…it does!! The food is always amazing: locally sourced and freshly cooked. This time we were there for Sunday lunch. Their roast beef and chicken Sunday roasts are delicious and are easily the best in the area. The chocolate fondant with coffee gelato that’s currently on the dessert menu is fabulous and 100% worth the calories!!! The FOH team are first class too. We are always made to feel so welcome by Luca and the rest of the team. Yesterday they went above and beyond for us. It was totally unexpected and we were really touched. Thank you again Luca 🫶.

We are relatively regular customers of La Storia but had not been there for Sunday lunch for a long time. They did not disappoint and dare I say it, but at half the price of a restaurant not that far away along London Road, the chef and his FoH team absolutely delivered a 5 star meal. We both had the roast chicken which was succulent with a crispy skin, accompanied by lovely Yorkshire Puddings (crisp on the outside but soft on the middle that didn’t taste like they were cooked hours and hours ago), lovely Duchesse potato, great veg and roast potatoes with above all, an outstanding gravy to link it all together. No doubt about it: we will be back! Cannot recommend highly enough, seriously (and I am a fussy eater).

Everyone had a fabulous time. The service was impeccable, there is nothing the attentive staff couldn't and wouldn't do and were very knowledgeable. The food was nice. The restaurant is beautiful, the crockery, the glassware - notably gorgeous.

A REAL taste of Italy in West Bridgford. Having lived in Italy for 25+ years and having had the opportunity to eat in some top restaurants, I can honestly say that La Storia is high on the list for really great Italian food. A perfectly planned menu, with a small but balanced choice of dishes to suit all palettes guarantees a perfect meal. Luca has created something special. Grazie

Had an enjoyable time at La Storia. Visited with a small child - staff very accommodating to having young baby too. Very friendly throughout our evening, even noting and writing special message for my wife on her birthday on her dessert. Really tasty dishes with ample portion size. The burrata con fungi was especially nice, as was the pork tomahawk steak. Really enjoyable atmosphere, with nice ambience and lighting. Great restaurant to celebrate a meal for a special occasion!

A very cozy restaurant. Great food and great service. The quality was superb. Welcomed with Prosecco which was unexpected and the desert was personally decorated due to our anniversary.

Had a lovely early supper here. Had pasta and wine £15 both delicious. Also had the burrata and truffle - amazing. Staff very friendly. Luca especially made us very welcome and spoke Italian with us. Booking essential as we heard them turn several people away.

Sadly very underwhelmed after looking forward so much to our evening based on reviews. On a positive first, the staff are fantastic and it’s a lovely friendly atmosphere. However unfortunately the food didn’t live up to expectations. Choice was very limited which is fine but if that’s the case then the dishes should be done well? One of us had the seafood linguine which was a little bland. I had the pappardelle pesto/ mozarrella and to be honest I’ve never seen pasta swim in so much bright green pesto. I kept thinking of Kermit the frog! It was ok to start with but then after a few mouthfuls became a bit too much Having holidayed in Italy this summer this sadly didn’t live up to expectations as authentic Italian dining. The focaccia and olives to start with were lovely though. Sorry as I don’t like to post negative reviews but it was quite disappointing for a nearly £80 evening out for two

I thought this place was new but it’s been here for eight years apparently. We went on a Thursday night, it was exceptional - the ambience, the staff, the food, we had pasta, steak, sides, some great focaccia and beautiful cocktails. Ollie served us he was fantastic and the prices were fab! Our new fav.

I’ve visited this restaurant a few times, and each experience has been consistently excellent! The food is exquisite, with attention to detail in every dish. The wine list is also impressive, offering a great selection to complement the meal. Highly recommend!

This is without doubt our favourite restaurant in Nottingham and lucky for us it’s just down the road! We are warmly welcomed at every visit. Luca our usual waiter is friendly, professional, kind and knowledgable. He goes the extra mile to ensure our visits are always enjoyable especially when we have the kids in tow. He even noticed I was pregnant when I came on a previous visit a couple of years ago and when I ordered he ensured the dish was pasteurised (without me even having to mention anything- outstanding service) You can’t go wrong with any dish here but our personal faves are a Sunday dinner with cauli cheese and any pasta dish! The ragus are always packed with flavour. The kids go mad for the cheesey pasta! And little foccacia pizzas. Prices are extremely reasonable for the quality of the food. Great wine list and drinks menu. Homemade limoncello and the negaromara are highlights. The ambience and decor is cosy but classy and welcoming. Don’t miss out on the bake at home trays either which come around every so often and are great for feeding the family or if you are having a gathering and again very reasonably priced. All round a fantastic place to eat as a couple, a large gathering, intimate dinner with friends or family! They are great with the kids and will cater for all diets. Couldn’t recommend any higher!!!

We attended La Storia on a Thursday evening and my exceptions were exceeded. The waiters are so attentive and personable, the drinks selection is extensive. I do not drink alcohol but loved that I could have a 0% Moretti and feel included with my friends, who also commented that the wine was one of the best they had tasted. The food was absolutely divine - amazing quality and taste for the price. Just enough that you feel full but not stuffed! I am also vegan and the vegan menu offered a range of choices which all sounded delicious. The dessert was also gorgeous. La Storia is a beautiful restaurant for a special evening, and I recommend a visit to everybody. Thank you for a wonderful evening.

Every time I have visited this place, the service and food has been outstanding. This is a beautiful restaurant with a menu that changes periodically which makes going back after a while exciting. A must try if you’re in the area.

Honestly, I went here ready to love the restaurant, but feel maybe it's taking things a little bit for granted. Had multiple dishes. Fussiloni. Wow well I am guessing boiled mince, but not an expert about why meat tasted the way it did, but I associated meat with mass produced methods of canteen food. Specials pasta was alright, think if not pasta itself being Al dente would definitely say most of people can prepare the dish at home without much effort. Wagyu whilst granted I never ate wagyu before was rubbery. Maybe that's how it suppose to be but I really had a bite and didn't want more. Tiramisu was Limoncello based , soft. Personally didn't like it, but I can see other people enjoying it. Overall during meal I was questioning my meat eating morals :D. Service was lovely. Decor was nice. Prices were high

From the minute we walked in, to leaving was an absolute delight. Holly, our waitress was amazing. Warm, friendly, and helpful. Made us feel right at home. My only criticism of the starter. I wanted more of the fresh foccacia. The mains were amazing. Great steak, well steamed turbot, and the quinoa was so fresh. Tiramisu, limoncello for afters. Again, it's a delight. Al fresco dining too. A family run restaurant that knows how to please. Get down and show support

We came to La Storia for our anniversary and had an absolutely astounding and on top of that our server Tom was fantastic.

Went here after coming back from Italy. Trying to recreate a bit of the magic two weeks later. The food is excellent. It’s potentially the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy. Our waiter was really nice too. The wine list is great - it is broken down by region which I found very useful. Would make a really good choice for a date or birthday I think.

Came for a meal today with my family, had a beautiful experience! The staff are attentive friendly and cannot do enough for you. The food was unbelievable, such quality! Thankyou so much to everyone working today, especially Luca, Sophie, Adam and Ollie xx

Me and my husband visited for the first time last night and we blown away. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, in particular Gracie who served us throughout the evening and she was fantastic! Favorite restaurant in Nottingham and has been for years. Lovely Italian dishes but also do not miss the Sunday roast & cauliflower cheese.

Really good homemade pasta and bread.

Managed to get a table on a sat early evening with take that on over the road. No idea how every thing else packed out But they squeezed us in. Staff are brilliant. Food is outstanding. And a great atmosphere. Will be going back whenever we go to Nottingham. If you get the chance book a table.

5 stars is the top tear! And this place through a friends recommendation was just amazing!! Great friendly service and amazing tasting food. This place for me has gotta be in line with clever & wake and world service...yes I said that!

Overall enjoyed our visit. Our starters and mains were all brilliant! However, we ordered 2 desserts and both were very disappointing. One was slop and the other basically broken up dry sponge with ice cream. As soon as our desserts were served, service stopped! Staff had all disappeared? We wanted to order another drink and had to wait about 15 minutes for a member of staff to appear and then we had to attract their attention. Not interested anymore. Very bad service to end the evening. Overall the evening was ok. Shame it wasn’t consistent with the food and disappointing service. One and only visit for us I’m afraid.

I had the best pasta I’ve ever had here. We had a starter which was excellent, the seafood pasta which was incredible and all of the desserts were delicious. There was fabulous attention to detail with the food, and the service was great too. Not a cheap eat, but worth every penny.

Recommend main courses, 8/ 10 good portion. Desert here £9.50 ridiculous ( not in London where high rental). Probably only doctors and lawyers can afford to buy a desert. Average desert is around £6-7 in Nottingham. From biz view, deserts profit usually 50% is reasonable. But if one desert charged £9.50 is Rip off. Cos profits may 80%.

Fabulous service as ever at La Storia. Tom served us so considerately, given the dietary needs of a dairy-free, can't eat tomatoes, don't like chilli requests!! Wonderful restaurant. Lovely server, who was attentive but not ovetly so. He also helped us with local knowledge as to what pub to try. Fantastic food. I have never tasted cod so good. Beautiful decor and atmosphere.

Excellent food and service. Very busy but nice atmosphere. You must pre book and parking can be difficult. Main dishes in the region of £20 each.

We spent our Anniversary in this place. The food was not the best what we tasted before even in England, definitely was way behind compare to any part of Italy. Dessert is simple only 3 options- tiramisu for 9£ was terrible. Also we was a bit shocked when we see the bill but maybe was our fault to choose sparkling water and extra bread for starter which was simply some salami and bread for 14£...

Authentic independent Italian restaurant. Limited menu with just 3 or 4 options for each course and lots of Italian words used in the description of dishes, so some knowledge of the language helps. The 4 of us just had starters and pasta dishes so can't comment on the mains or secondi courses. Antipasti board is all meat and a few crostini. Would have benefitted from some veggies and proper bread. Generous portion though compared to the bruschetta which was very small. Pasta dishes and desserts were all fine without being outstanding. Good choice of wines with a wide price range catering for all budgets. Note the special wines by the glass are from bottles costing up to £47. Overall a good meal but less impressive than our last visit.

My first visit to La Storia and wow I wish I had not waited for so long! Fantastic and kind service from the moment you walk in with attentive staff. Mouthwatering food, I had a chicken roast and it's one of the best roasts I've ever had! Also a focaccia to start that was yummy.

A very welcoming and friendly restaurant, I went with my family for a dinner and we were amazed by the customer service from Giodarno. He was friendly and always checked how we were, he made sure we had no questions unanswered and we understood what the meals are. None of us were left without a drink and the food was amazing. I found my main was quite rich, but everyone else enjoyed theirs. Not many dessert options, but the ones there are delicious and well presented. We will definitely be coming back and appreciate the service from Giodarno!

Amazing. Lived up to the hype. Delicious, authentic, and plentiful food and wine. Ended up being about £75 a head including tip. Olives, cocktails, antipasti, primi, secondi, dessert, coffee, limoncelli. No complaints whatsoever. They're dog friendly for outdoor seating too which is great!

Just went in by chance when visiting the area but what a great find. The staff are welcoming and attentive. Food was amazing, a small menu, but I prefer that. 😋

My friends raved about this place and so we decided to visit for an evening. Wow! I certainly wasn't disappointed! The service was wonderful, the wine was exceptional and the food was to die for. This isn't an 'Italian place' with lasagne and pizza; this is a genuine Italian dining experience. I had an Italian fondue to start. For main, I had the Gnoccetti dish, and having never had it before I was savouring each mouthful. To finish, I had the Hazelnut and Chocolate torte with roast pears. OMG, it was like Ferrero Roche ganache! Simply perfect, and the best Italian food I've ever had. I will definitely be going back. Okay, it was pricey, but for a night out once in a while, I would definitely spend it again and it was totally expected for the dining experience we had! Thank you.

A really nice, intimate venue ran by a very friendly team. We were quickly greeted at the door. The table wasn’t quite ready so we were offered a drink in the bar area, quickly delivered. Food was pre-ordered being part of a bigger group and it was soon with us once we were settled at our table. It was great! Service between courses was really good and drinks & water were regularly topped up. The homemade limoncello is a perfect end to any visit too!

Cocktails was nice. Pear spirit was mind blown. However, risotto was undercooked. Raw rice can be expected in risotto. Gave them my the north-face long-line jacket to hang. They gave kid-size short-thin-layer jacket back to me. I absolutely felt to be insulted. Never recommend anyone to dine-in over £70 for the service and food.

Our second visit here was on Saturday 3rd Feb. Four of us for dinner. All the meals were excellent, fresh, full of flavour, basically great, genuine Italian food. Service from Luca was friendly and helpful. We will definitely return again.

Google Maps rating of 4.8 stars, no wait, tastes even better than expected. The pasta is al dente, with a rich and flavorful meat sauce. The grated cheese is finely shredded, providing a cheesy flavor without being overwhelming. Satisfying! #KissKidsFamily

Amazing restaurant - the food is soooo tasty, feels very special and also very authentic. I love that they change the menu seasonally so there’s always something new to try (although we often end up eating a ragu which is always incredible!). Great service as well, will be back for more soon!

I dined here for the first time recently with a large group including my Italian native friend who vouched for the authenticity of the food. I certainly wasn't disappointed - I found each course from the set menu unique and flavoursome. Wonderful ambience, attentive staff and very reasonably priced, given the quality. What a gem - can't wait to return!

Amazing little Italian in West Bridgford in the shadow of Trent Bridge Cricket Ground. Had a team meal for 10 and the food was excellent and service was second to none. We had quite a range of choices off the menu across the table and everyone really enjoyed all 3 courses. Will definitely be back with my partner to sample more delights!

My new favourite restaurant in Nottingham. Went for my birthday and was so happy with the way we were treated. 10/10 for everything! Service, food, atmosphere - it all made the night really special. And as a fan of Italy and Italian food, the food and selection here does not disappoint. The beef ragu in particular was incredible! Can't wait to come back :)

This is our second visit to La Storia and once again it was amazing. We were booked in at 5pm on a Wednesday evening which meant that the Dine Around Italy menu was available, a pasta dish and a glass of house wine for £14 - bargain! The pasta we had was topped with lashings of pecorino cheese and crispy guanciale - so simply but my goodness it was tasty! Highly recommend the Dine Around Italy menu, it’s only available Wednesday to Friday 5-6pm and isn’t available all year round so keep your eyes open for it.
