We come to Lincoln a couple of times a year and this is our go to pub/restaurant at this end of town (when Steep Hill is a step too far!). There's a decent range of beer (and gin) and a large outdoor, quayside seating area for whiling away a warm evening. Inside has a cosy feel and we've always been happy with the food and service when we eat here. The menu is traditional, but with a few twists to keep it interesting. Not extensive or fancy, but what they do, they do well. On this quiet Monday evening, our waiter, Leon, was very friendly and attentive and the food was up to the usual standard. All in all, an enjoyable evening and exactly what we expect from a traditional pub.

Came for a mate date first time coming , was served by Alex, and what a polite and helpful lady she was, she went above and beyond for my fussy eater friend, and advised us on the best cocktails.. she’s a credit to your team! And I’ll be back!! Thanks for a great meal and cocktails! X

Prompt food service and nice outside area

Absolutely amazing take away, I would never go anywhere else within Gainsborough. Been going here for a few years now and have new been let down.

Hi, called in on tues 29th April, we haven't been in before and we were surprisingly taken back by how big it is inside, very clean very tidy, we had fish and chips and a battered sausage and chips with curry sauce and mushy peas (separate), it was all done whilst waiting but we were not waiting long, staff were friendly. we collected our food and left, when we got home it was still piping hot, but yes 100% was amazing, will definitely return. It was also very reasonably priced. Well done trinity fish bar ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ They also have a very tidy and clean restaurant bit in which is available to stay in and eat.

Frequented on the 19th for a works festive meal. Being a late lunch the establishment wasn't busy. Upon arrival; banter/falling out between 2 staff about who is setting up our table…tad strange. In general the service was fine, unfortunately the food wasn’t. Yorkshire pud was burnt at the bottom, turkey was dry, well over cooked roast potatoes. mash was…..pretty much everything on the plate was over cooked. Also worse Xmas pud I’ve ever had. Don’t frequent that often, a complete opposite experience to the last time I frequented.

We have always come here for breakfast but not any more ! Couldn't believe how it's changed when they said a small breakfast I didn't think it would be so small and not very nice. Plus over charged me by £3.

Not the friendliest welcome from the bloke behind the bar. Objected to the behaviour of one of the other guests in the bar who had a Labrador off lead who became very rude when his dog was worrying my Jack Russell, who was on his lead. I don’t like been sworn at, so the whole experience was terrible. Don’t have their “coke” either it’s just coloured water tasting of cleaning fluid. I’d rather go thirsty than ever visit that pub again.

poor food quality and poor hygiene on the tables and no sanitization between customers not even a table wipe.

The service was very slow and nearly all the tables were dirty with use food items.It used to be good bjut certainly not worth visiting in the future

Good quality food, friendly staff although service was shocking, only 3 of the 4 of us where having the all you can eat pizza and the staff didn’t even bring out an extra menu wasn’t busy at all so was expecting food to be quicker, not a large variety to eat and meals where poor for the price they were.overall I would say the place is ok for a meal out and could definitely be better.

I had an excellent mixed kebab wrap with fries and my wife had a pizza. Both were very good and excellent value for money. £7.50 for the kebab wrap and chips was unbelievable value. Service was a little slow but they were very busy and the food was freshly made and piping hot. 👌
