Trinity Fish Bar in West Lindsey

I went on Easter Monday on 1st April 2024 and Tuesday 2nd April 2024 and I bought large haddock & medium chips and it was delicious.

Tried here for the first time tonight and was lovely usually we have to order from multiple places for everyone as we all like different and I was very dubious about them offering pretty much all takeaway foods I’m very much a fish and chips from the chippy, curry from Indian takeaway etc kind of person but it was all very tasty! We tried quite a few different items which were delivered nice and hot, slight issue with missing 1 item from our order these things happen but they quickly rectified this, apologised and also gave us some extra free chips Excellent customer service and quick delivery, very generous portion sizes especially for the price, will be using you more often thankyou

I routinely get food from here as a treat and I have never been disappointed. The food is consistently delicious and always arrives on time! I’d recommend to anybody in the area looking for a good portion of fish & chips!

Been this places many times staff always very help full and they do indian curry and biryani and pizza is best in town definitely come back

Disgusting service. Asked for the kebab meat fresh and not out of the heated tank and the lovely English lady said yes. The typical takeaway worker, moaned at her infront of us like we had spat on. Will not come here again. Food was horrendous. Hats off to the lovely lady that served us for her customer service but nothing good can be said about anything else.

Awful service. The lady was lovely but the men that worked there were argumentative with the English staff. Food was freezing cold, poor quality and dry. I would rather spend hours chewing on a flip flop than ever experience seek dining like this again. Thumbs down.

Order was supposed to arrive in 45 minutes, but it took 2 hours after a phone call. The pizza was not good, the dough was undercooked, and it seemed to be soaked in oil. It was impossible to eat. I do not recommend it.

I've just no idea where to start. This has had new owners, so we thought we would give it a go. I commented on how the menu looked extensive with plenty to choose from and all at reasonable cost. Upon arrival, there was a big queue, and I could hear phone orders coming in. It was clear that they were busy. There were customers who had been waiting for some time, who seemed slightly fed up, but I was quite happy to people watch and view the food that was being served. Also, if it is this busy, then the food must be amazing!! HOW WRONG WAS I. I was handed my food and was really looking forward to getting home. As I unwrapped my LARGE chip butty, I was shocked as to how small it was, and I wished I'd have photographed it. There were no full chips, just bits. The fish looked like a large battered sausage, and the gravy and curry sauce were jellified and wouldn't pour out of the cup. It clearly wasn't edible. I picked up a menu on my way out, but I can guarantee that I WILL NOT be returning. If I hadn't had the day that I'd had, I'd have taken the whole lot back and asked for a refund.

Was a bit disappointed with this last night, don't believe I will be returning.

Chips small sausage and curry sauce with a can was £6. Was a nice starter .

Was a regular there for few years.. Last 2 delivery's we had was late and the donner was old and smelt off..chips are getting thinner too.. Sort yourself out as you will start losing your regulars..

Came for the first time yesterday, had a large chips and cheese and two large battered sausages. Definitely one of the best chippies I've been to! Also thanks to the lovely cashier for the warm welcome and conversation!

Today 21.50 pm I came asked for a child's baterd small sausage and chips and scraps and small Cury by time i got home unrated it shoked and not happy not what I asked for they gave me large jumbo sausage plain with skin on not what I asked for wast my time disapont not happy pluss chips wer all cold soggy

Visited for the first time recently, chips must be the best in Lincolnshire, freshly cooked, spot on, will definitely use again when next in Gainsborough!

Recently moved to gainsborough and first time ordering from trinity fish bar and was really nice, food was delivered reasonably good time and good price aswell definitely recommended 👌

Ordered a takeaway from them tonight, they apologised due to the slow delivery due to it being busy but the food was very good and worth the wait, everything nicely cooked and not slathered in grease, will definitely order again!

Food always comes super late, to the point you have to contact to ask where it is. The food is nice but delivery service needs work. Edited to add, when we attempted to make contact, we called three times each time rang out, no attempt to from them to answer, the 45 mins to be with us was doubled. Won’t be ordering from here again

Waited well over an hour for simple meal came cold order always missing bottle of pop

First time I’ve been in as adams bay was closed. Will be going back here, cheaper prices and lovely haddock and chips was actually very tasty indeed. Can’t wait to try the savaloys as I noticed they were being kept in hot water like they should be. Very happy 😃

Very enjoyable! Probably the best fish n chips in Gainsborough. Decent portions and a good choice - they also do kebabs, pizza and burgers which I’ve not yet tried.

Have been a customer since opening day and can honestly say you can’t bet this place. value for money and portion sizes are 10/10 with good honest tasty food. Customer service is 5 start and It’s nice to see a family run business.

We have used this Fish Bar for quite a long time now and they have always delivered hot and tasty food to our door via a polite and friendly delivery driver. When I have ordered via the owners on the phone they've been super friendly and seem to care greatly about customer satisfaction. We don't order from anywhere else. Jack Dryden

Tasty enough,good portion . But poor overall hygiene, server was handling money,working till ,scratching head,wiping fingers on grubby track suit bottoms then touching food while wrapping,which were bread buns,which got binned. Wont bother again.

A really good fast food place catering for a wide range of tastes. Nice staff, especially if you only take 1 fork, as you should! 😊👍

Called in on a Monday evening, not been in many years, the staff were very friendly, the food was very good there is a large selection of food types to order.we will be using it again.

(large battered sausage, large chips, curry sauce, fish cake, beans) i only had the sausage, half the chips and the curry sauce but it was the best darn thing my mouth has ever had the pleasure of touching. overall it was only £6.90 which is very cheap B). when I went in to get my order Mr Singh, the man behind the counter, was so charismatic and very friendly. he seems like the type of person you would want to be friends with. he was super polite and asked us how our day went. and they way he put the salt on was so magical and with such finesse. I didn't get the chance to interact with any one else there but I'm very happy with Mr Singh. if i could give this more than 5 I would. this is the best food i have ever eaten. perfect. I definitely recommend

A scruffy but lively and busy little place. Staff friendly and helpful. Bewildering array of different foods available. The freshly prepared cod and chips were excellent as were the mushy peas. Would I recommend? Definitely

First time ordering for delivery. Very impressed. Order came early and was hot. Too many chips and they weren't really too nice! Hence four stars not five! Will order again.

Ordered on Uber eats and Jesus Christ iv never had worse fish and chips! The batter on the fish was soggy on the bottom and like cardboard on top. The chips were like rubber, only good part was the ice cream and that was Ben and Jerry's. Seems like they microwaved the meal I ordered.

Friendly family run place, food was nicely wrapped up though they are only open in the evening (or at least were the 2 times I have been). Would be nice to have some ketchup sachets included with the chips but otherwise lovely takeaway. Will be back.

Went in today, on way home from Lincoln, sausage chips and beans, large portion size and fantastic price. Sausage nicely cooked and the best chips I've had for a long time, well cooked, slightly crispy and quite dry. Spot on. A long way from the now normal chips that are anaemic and dripping in fat. YUK.

Poor. Soggy batter, rock hard chips that had been cut way too thin. Not particularly nice at all. Won't be returning I'm afraid. 🤢

This is by far the best chippy in town, they even deliver to you, the food is delicious & the lady in there is the kindest person you can meet.

Our last experience of this place was great but this, our second visit was disappointing. The chicken pieces were large but the southern fried coating was sloppy this time. The chips were cold both times. Good value for a cheap meal if you're not too fussy.

Food good, service alful in fact no that good so long delivery I could have walked to lincoln and back in the time, no sorry and couldn't care less supprised still in business with such a bad attitude.

Ordered yesterday through uber eats I ordered a chicken kebab naan and received some old horrible donner meat all curled up together and what looked like chicken skin painted red didn't eat last night as a result wouldn't risk food poisoning for the world. Throughly disappointed and won't ever order again

Always great food, polite delivery staff and the foods always hot when it arrives. Would definitely recommend this place. Its my favourite take out in Gainsborough.

Best fishery in Gainsborough. Lovely customer service, food is always spot on, chips are always COOKED and they do amazing battered Chip Buttys which I haven't been able to get in Gainsborough before!!

I am absolutely disgusted, my meal took hour and 45 minutes, for it to turn up and half of my order was cold I got a normal sausage instead of battered,the donnor meat is like leather, the jacket potato was stone cold and dry, be a shamed of yourselves

Due to the oven breaking at home we've been ordering here 2-3 times a week, and can safely say I've never been disappointed! The food is fantastic and the delivery driver is always polite, food is always nice and hot, the chicken nuggets are especially good which I definitely recommend. Only downside to trinity fish bar would be delivery times are always a little late, which I don't mind as the food always makes up for it, and I think they only have 1 driver, but don't let you be put off from ordering from here, the food is always great.

Called for a chippy tea on my way home from work, we had chips, pie, spam fritter and cripy bits with curry sauce. I would recommend this fish bar. The food was lovely and the staff was very friendly.

Only had a disappointing takeaway once, when we ordered large cod but it was tiny! Had much bigger from there. But it was a one-off and the takeaways are great

Kebab meat was quite nice . I asked for pitta bread kebab. When I got home the meat was on chips no sign of a pitta bread. Husband had a plain bag of chips . Portion size was good but the chips were awful. Dark brown and greasy . Tasted like they had been reheated from lunchtime. Not saying that is the case but they were unpleasant. Why are they so dark brown and overcooked ?

Been calling here for a while now on my monthly visits to Gainsborough. I normally go for the chicken kebab in pitta bread with salad and sauce. Chicken is usually a good indicator of the quality of a place as it can be over cooked and rubbery or left in the warming pots for too long and that has the same affect on it. Not so at Trinity though. Every time I've been here the chicken has been cooked to perfection. Oh' and on one occasion when I was feeling a bit greedy I went for the Trinity style special kebab. Now that's something special. With any kInd of food outlet the key question for me is would I go back? We'll, I answered that question in the opening sentence of this review.

Went in to this establishment to buy food, can't fault the service, the food tastes pre-cooked and very greasy. I just felt sorry for the staff and other customers when this chav and her 20 feral kids walked in f-ing and jeffing and spitting....utter disgrace!! No reflection on this establishment whatsoever

Recommend by a mate so gave it a try. Best kebab I've had in a long time, friendly staff and lovely and clean great looking extensive menu reasonably priced and stays open until 22.30. Only drawback which is nither here nor there is the parking, double yellow lines outside shop but there is parking up the street. Will certainly use again

If you like microwaved chicken wings( that he suspiciously keeps in hot counter out the back ) then this is the place for you. Good luck with that. There was a convenient bin, on the way back to my lorry and it looked very hungry, so I felt sorry for it and gave up my lunch.

Nice friendly staff, looked clean and tidy but food fell below par. (Battered sausage, chips, curry sauce) £4.10... over priced.

Ordered this evening, 29/01/19. My chips were overcooked, full of grease and not exactly looking like chips. Bacon cheeseburger, bacon was massively overcooked, tough and chewy. Burger was burnt to a crisp around the edges yet they still sent it out. Called the owner, his response, "one moment please", phone goes dead.. very professional? Avoid at all costs!!

Plenty of good chip shops in Gainsborough, this isn’t one. Wasn’t what I expected and food wasn’t what I expected too. Won’t go back.
