This is a busy fish and chip shop, serving freshly fried food to a very high standard, the staff are friendly and work hard to make sure the ever present queue is served. The portions are large, but I would recommend purchasing a box for your food. There is car parking at the rear of the building.

Me and my friend visited today for the first time after a 5 mile walk, it was so warm and welcoming and a variety of cakes well presented on a table as you walk in. The waiter asked where we would like to sit, he was very kind and chatty and couldn’t do enough to help us making our dining experience a fantastic one, he took our order very promptly 10 mins max and less than 10mins for it all to arrive soup coffee and cake of which all arrived at the same time as my friends so we could enjoy together, all that was hot was piping hot and very much enjoyed.

Perfect place for us to spend a few days whilst attending Cadwell Park Bank Holiday weekend races. Clean, compact with all the facilities needed. The room was checked every day of our visit, which was nice + resupplying the teas and coffees etc. Pretty much in the centre of Market Rasen to shop for supplies or eat out and to explore further afield. Not too far away from the racecourse, if that's your passion.

Went here with my husband and a friend for post-parkrun breakfast/brunch. Although vegan options were not marked up on the menu, we asked about vegan options and the lady was very accommodating. She was very careful and checked with us about allergies. Great attention to detail and care, even checking about chocolate sprinkles on the capuccinos and assuring us that there was no milk in the bread they used for toast. Impressed as most places don't go to that extent. Very pleasant experience and great full English (vegan) breakfast. Highly recommend!

Looking for somewhere to have breakfast after Market Rasen parkrun we came across this Bistro, a very warm welcome when we entered, we were given menus and time to browse before we made our mind up what we wanted. The service was friendly and very polite. We ordered a small breakfast and a breakfast waffle, photos below. The food was delicious, well presented and top quality produce. A mention to Willow and the other young lady who served us, very professional and courteous, thank you both :)

Had lunch there with my husband today and we both had the Wolds platter which was substantial and very tasty. Beautifully presented and using local cheeses and meats. Highly recommended and we will return to sample more of their varied menu in the near future.

Wow No wonder this place is dead on a Saturday lunch time. Reserved a table as we havnt visited here for about 4 years. Sat for ten min, waitress came up and asked what we wanted to order - we hadn't even been asked for our drink order . Went for the small plates. 3 for £24 Took about 20 min to arrive. My jaw dropped when it did. I asked the waitress, what is that , pointing at the squid.. portion so small. Squid , hardly any of the plate, and fishy. Underwhelming to say the least. Bao buns Supposed to have Asian slaw on top Not sure where that was Beef brisket croquettes. Hardly any sauce. Meat so dry inside , burnt tasteless leeks on top Stone cold plates to eat off Loudness of the staff joking messing about in the back ground Place is dire. Not great standards .

We ordered a takeaway for collection. Although the staff were great and very helpful when I enquired where to park when I collected due to double yellow lines, unfortunately the food itself was a bit of a let down. We had 2 chicken dishes, although it looked good the taste was bland so we were a bit disappointed.

Extremely disappointing! Arrived at the venue to be met at the door, asked for a table for 4, given a choice of 3 tables. Was told by the waitress she'd be back to take drink orders; 15 mins later she took a drinks order and said she would return to take our food order. Drinks arrived, and in some unorganised manner, cups & saucers were placed randomly on the table, with the male waiter handing out a biscuit and teaspoon, by standing at one end of the table and almost 'throwing' the items to each person, rather than setting up the table correctly. There was a further table of 4 people arrived after us, had food order taken and still we waited. Finally having to go to the counter to remind the staff we wanted to order food, I was abruptly told 'I'll come to your table to take the order'. We waited a further 10 minutes. Having put in an order for 2 fish & chips and 2 meat pies & chips, we waited another 30 minutes before the waitress told us there was only 1 pie left, so what else did we want instead - opted for another fish & chips. Waited a further 30 mins when 2 fish & 'skinny fries' meals arrived at the table. The fries and peas were cold. 10 mins later the last 2 meals arrived .... fries and peas were cold, fish was watery and the pie filling was extremely dry. We were so hungry by this point we did our best to eat the meals, but they were awful! Not once did either of the staff ask us how I meal was; but when paying the extortionate bill by card, there was an option on the card machine to leave a percentage tip! Absolutely not!! It's a shame there is very little attention to detail given by the staff. Perhaps they need to employ a chef who knows what they are doing, and they all need to complete some training in hospitality. We certainly won't be returning to this venue, and won't be recommending it to others. Disappointing through and through!
