Union Jack Fish Bar in West Lindsey

Sadly fish was a disappointment, batter was oily. Fish was watery. Take away.

Visiting from out of town and fancied some fish and chips. Found a few chippy's in town and decided to try out Union Jack. You can ignore the negative reviews on here, someone complained about the potion size. No idea what they are talking about, my portion was too much for me to eat. Service was fast and the chips were really really good. I'd definitely come back if I was passing, great food, great portion size and great price.

Best fish and chips for miles around

Lovely fish, great battered sausage, the chips were erm... a tad soggy but the curry sauce and mushy peas were divine!!! Sooo nice! Would go back again (just wouldn't order the chips).

Chips only. Well it was cooked potato. Not particularly nice though. Potato seemed fine but whilst not the worst chips I've ever had, they need the fryer or something servicing, like asap. Tastes greasy.

Decided couldn't be bothered to cook one night.. so stopped at Union Jack on way home!!! Service and food was good.. and was a friendly chip shop. Not our usual one but would use again 100%

Tried this chippy once again as first time round although not bad they were greasy, second time trying again this week even greasier we felt uncomfortable after, so unless something is done about the amount of grease sadly we won't be back, takeaway is supposed to be a treat but this wasn't on this occasion.

Bought sausage chips and mushy peas x3, only fault I could find is the mushy peas where a bit salty, just my opinion, might be just me?

Never had anything cooked as we popped in. If we wanted anything except sausage, then we had to wait 10/15 minutes. Food was hot and delicious.

Walked past this morning on the way to the shops thinking I would call in here when finished shopping but when I looked in the window on the way past I saw last night's batterd sausage and pies in the cabinet don't think I will be calling there again.

Second visit not to bad for a portion off chips, take away tray and two forks, more paper would have been good to balance the tray on. One piece not enough.

Always good quality and service - recommended.

Having tried the other F&C places in Market Rasen as well as Caistor, I can say that what this place offers is the best. The shop/decor is nothing spectacular and could do with a bit of a spruce up/update, but yes, the Fish and Chips are great. Well done.

que was really slow as they only served one person at a time so you had to wait whilst that persons food was cooking. when we finally got our food it was so greasy, I've never experienced chip shop food so greasy before. it tasted really un pleasant and I thought they closed early for a saturday. would not visit there again

Lots of bargains and plenty of room to move about.

My favourite fish and chip shop in Market Rasen and reasonably priced. It's just a shame that it isn't open on a bank holiday Monday.

Just a bit grim. Food OK, service sub-par.

Came to this chip shop asked for sausage curry and chips guy said do you want a small or large sausage I said small when it came I asked for a small sausage not a kids meal table spoon of curry and hand full of chips I was shocked I was even going to ask if you get chips with these scraps as it was that small not impressed and will never go back!

Been calling regularly over the past few years on our journey to the coast. Pleasant friendly staff and food is always good and good value for money.
