Amazing home made food with exceptional service! We are regulars at the bistro and you are always greeted with a lovely smile, delicious food which is also great value for money. Today’s trip was Mother’s Day high tea and it was amazing. Nicki and team go above and beyond, definitely worth a visit, home made food with a variety of options. Can also highly recommend the bottomless brunch!

30th birthday bottomless afternoon tea....cannot fault anything, food was superb, ambience fabulous, attention to detail first class. Everything was amazing. Thanks to Nicky and her team. Cannot recommend this bistro any higher they are just fabulous 😍 ❤️

Two things prevented a five star score. We had to wait about an hour for our meals, and the portion sizes of the curry, chilli and burger were very small including the portions of chips that came with them. Would not suit someone with a larger appetite. However my ploughman’s was one of the best I’ve had and it was huge, by contrast! Three cheeses, ham, salad, gherkins, olives, sausage roll, pickle, poached egg …..amazing! I chose the right dish! Our cavapoo enjoyed his sausage, great to see an eatery so welcoming to dogs; they have their own menu! An interesting bistro which runs a variety of themed evenings. The staff were lovely.

Popped in on the off chance. Impressed with the quality of the food, and loved the friendly service. Nothing was too much trouble. We will be going again.

Ordered a “Surprise Bag” via Too Good to Go! And what a surprise it was… In there was a sausage roll, which was literally a skinny chipolata sausage (still in its skin!) incased in a huge amount of hard pastry! Even my young son knows to take the meat out of the skin before you roll and cook it… 🤦🏻‍♀️

Another great experience at The Bistro. We attended for a poetry and music evening which was enjoyably different. Some great readings and some fabulous songs, all accompanied by a complimentary drink on arrival and cheese & nibbles at the interval. They even kindly provided a vegan option for myself. Great staff, lovely relaxed environment and good food. Special mention to Katy this evening who was a fabulous hostess and who looked after us impeccably well. Yet another marvellous member of this great venue's Team. Thanks for having us, looking forward to visiting again soon.

Went for bottomless brunch and it was faultless. Food was fabulous drinks a plenty service was top knotch everything was just superb. Highly recommend this Bistro. Thankyou Nicky and all the staff you outdid yourselves. X

Had Mother’s Day afternoon tea for four adults. Excellent quality food and value for money. Will be visiting again soon. Also had take out afternoon teas during lockdown and they too were excellent quality.

Popped in for a breakfast with my wife and kids. Great service and fast too. Everyone was really happy, food was spot on, would definitely recommend

Love this place, staff and the customers are always so accommodating and friendly. Wonderful bright venue, plenty of space and cosy. It has kept all the comforts from its previous location. If I were local I would absolutely be in here more regularly. Staff and owners always have a smile and time to chat! Highly recommend a visit 😊 never disappointed.

Only lived in Market Rasen since September last year and tried this for the first time...These are new premises for this Cafe and they have made a very nice job of the place, very cosy without being cramped. Very nice welcome by all staff. Very good choice of fresh cooked food on the menu. Wife and i both had "Full English" with Tea for 2....Cooked to order so a short wait but boy was it worth it. Huge pot of tea was a pleasant surprise as most cafes are always a bit stingy in that dept in my experience.....All food was LOVELY my only slight moan was my toast was a bit lightly toasted for me, admiitedly i like very well done toast so i will know to ask next time.....Lunch menu looked lovely too and we will definitely be returning soon to try that....Highly Reccomended

The day I visited it was a really busy lunch time the staff we friendly and informed me there was a wait for food I was happy to wait I ordered my food and my drink came out promptly I was told my food wait could be a wait up to 40 mins again I was happy to wait just live the atmosphere in the place I sat and watch the world outside go by. My food was out within the time stated and was delicious the staff could not have been more apologetic that I had to wait but you could see they were busy and I was not in a rush to be anywhere I will say the only thing that disturbed me a little was there was a family in at the same time as me been very rude to members of staff after they had been seated and given there drinks they were also told there would be a wait for food too but clearly they didn’t like that answer very much to the point they were offered free drinks The staff at he bistro bar and kitchen we lovely smoky and kind to the very timid customer I’m not sure I would have been so nice to them they made me feel uncomfortable let alone the port staff member who had to deal with them

Cold coffee, order appears to have been placed onto till system half an hour after it was taken, waited over an hour for our food to arrive, customers who arrived significantly after us served full meals before us, when we complained were told they would authenticate my complaint by checking the till times which were wrong but they wouldnt accept then told cctv footage would be used to check. Also told customers are not always given food depending on when they placed order which was annoying having arrived significantly before other customers who eat before us.So insulted I left. Never had any further contact as promised when I left my details. Not how I expected to be treated so wouldn’t return.

Wow what a transformation of the former premises! We popped by for lunch Saturday, lovely atmosphere and welcoming staff! Food was brilliant! We will be regular visitors! ***** Five stars from us! A great addition to the town!

Visited Nickys new Bistro and it was fab. They have pulled out all the stops. Great menu, lots of space, fab decor very warm ambience, chikd, dog and disabled friendly, just fab. Congratulations to Nicky, Mike, Tammi and team. X

Called in after work just for a well earned cuppa and ended up having my tea, food was superb and the staff were super attentive, could not fault at all. The cakes were sooo tempting so I'm definitely going back very soon. Highly recommend this bistro, nothing is too much trouble. Little gem in the town. Thanks guys, see you soon 😊

visited here with my daughter and granddaughter as we had seen children eat free for the school holidays. My granddaughter was very excited as we had shown her the car her meal came in, we thought this was a wonderful idea to bring in business so would give it a try. Nicky has had good reviews so was even more keen to try. We arrived at 12.15 although booked for 12.30, the waitress was lovely and told us to sit anywhere and she would come and take our order. The bistro was quiet with only one other table taken. We ordered the ham egg and slimming world chips (stated on menu ask if you wanted frozen chips). We ordered drinks and waited and waited, so ordered more drinks and waited and waited. Eventually our meal arrived the ham was brown in colour and the eggs were not cooked, the yolks were fine but the white was like it is when you crack in the cup! The chips were definitely not slimming world chips (we cook these all the time being slimming world members). The waitress was lovely and returned our meals to the kitchen. The cook could not see what was wrong and said the ham had been purchased that morning, well if they had sold it to me like that I would have refused it. She said some people like their eggs like that! She said we could choose again and would not charge us for the meal, so we chose a cheese and onion toasty from the menu. We enquired about the child's meal as she was getting very hungry and impatient by this time, we were told it would all be out together. We waited and waited then said we would just pay for the drinks and go only to be told they were doing our meal now. The meal came after another 5 minutes but with no chips as advertised on the menu, and the child's wrap was hard. We just ate the toasty as we were totally fed up by this time to complain about no chips. While there others were complaining about not getting chips, soggy bread and waiting too long. Some walked out and only paid for the drinks and others only paid a fraction of their bill saying they would not return. We offered to pay for our drinks but the waitress said no and apologised for our experience. We had been there for 1 hour 45 minutes so I think we were very patient As we were leaving Nicky who owns the bistro came in (she had been phoned to advise her there were problems) We will not be returning, but would compliment the waitress who had lovely customer service and could not apologise enough.

I had lunch with a group of friends and - probably because there were so many of us - the service was slow. But everyone had a delicious lunch and my only complaint was that it was a big too big and I couldn't finish the last bit. From the outside, Nice and Naughty looks like a down market cafe, but it's much better than that.

Amazing quality and customer service. Always enjoy the Slim Breakfast with their great homemade slimming sausages which is cooked to perfection and Nicky's smile!

Good place to stop for a bacon bap and a mug of tea if you are cycling to or from the wolds. Ask about leaving your bikes round the back.

We had lunch delivered to our work place and it was outstanding. The sandwiches were fresh and tasty, cakes delicious, clotted cream was amazing and the scones just melted in our mouths. Just fabulous. Everyone shoukd try them.

We visited Nickys for a family get together and nothing was too much trouble. Nicky catered for different allergies and there's plenty of choice. My grandma was particularly impressed with the slimming options! With fabulous friendly staff and great food choices..nice and naughty is real asset to Market Rasen.

Well !! . Firstly the drinks I.e the infused gin was to die for and very reasonably priced . The food was fantastic proper home style food . Desert was delicious . Will be definitely going regularly . Had a girl singing 1940’s style music who was astounding . Really enjoyed the night thank you

We have two kids with additional needs so going out anywhere is usually anxiety inducing. Nicky’s Bistro is totally set up for families like ours. She and her fabulous team make you feel like part of the family. We had amazing food in an intimate but incredibly considered environment. The Father’s Day meal was beautiful. We felt very lucky to share their celebrations ❤️❤️❤️

Came here with a big table booking - 11 of us were celebrating the end of our annual holiday with a big breakfast here - and we had the best time! The staff were so accomodating and friendly. We had mentioned we had some vegan and gluten-intolerant diners and they went above and beyond to ensure everyone was properly looked after - they even changed shift patterns so we had a chef who adhered to a gluten free diet and made us all feel so welcome. Couldn't recommend this place enough - feels like you're in a family home. Seems like the perfect community hub if you're on a weight-loss journey with tonnes of moral support and a really positive way to get to know others who are trying to change their diet for the better. Thanks for having us! It was the perfect end to a brilliant stay in Lincoln.

I love this place! I have some particular dietary requirements. Until Nicky opened her bistro, I would always have to put up with everyone else having a fab selection of thing while I was left with sub par stuff. Not at Nicky's! She put together a vegan afternoon tea for me that was the envy of my non vegan friend! THIS is what I mean by personalised service -- give her 24 hours notice and she creates vegan scotch eggs from scratch just for you. The food is high quality - good home cooking -- and the portions are generous too. The bonus is the staff are all lovely and chatty. The bistro itself is becoming a community hub with all kinds of groups meeting there -- because it's such a great place to hang out. PLanning to go to one of her evening events soon so will share a review on that!

Popped in for Lunch with my mother. Delicious food, very friendly welcome, and a very wide range of options to choose from, all for a very reasonable price. The portions are generous and the food is freshly prepared. Sadly I didn't have space for dessert, but the cakes look wonderful. Next time I will make sure I can manage a slice.

Stopped off here for lunch,great healthy food choices the staff were lovely & friendly.lots of choices for eatting healthy food that tasted great we will be back.had the Sri Lankan curry,vegetarian meal.you can have a meat option with meals.very good choices for cocktails,beers at good prices well worth a visit.

Hi my name is pete nichol I was a bit peckish and saw the eaterie and popped in Nicky,s bistro for a snack and drink I was overwhelm by the friendless of the staff and the layout of the place I had a breakfast which was no trouble at all it was beautiful sat for bout 50mins or so it had free WiFi clean toilets and just a family atmosphere I even left a tip.. so u guys out there I'd recommend it to family freinds or just on your own as u wud all b made welcome

We had the pleasure of going to Nicky's for an Italian themed night. We got to make our own pizza, choosing the base and then the toppings. It was cooked to perfection and served with as much side salad as we could eat. For a three course meal, the portion size was perfect - plenty enough to be satisfied without overindulging.

Beautiful food and excellent company! Great value for a 4 course meal. £20 INC TIP and 2 soft drinks. Can't rate the relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff more.

We called in on the off chance on a Saturday late lunch time. I had seen a photo of an amazing afternoon tea especially for those of us following a Slimming world way of eating.Nicky had a tea spare and my husband and tucked it. Oh my how delicious it all was! The SW scotch eggs and sausage rolls plus home made tasty bread for the ham and egg sandwiches. Then a savoury scone plus ginger and apple oat slice. Then 2 little cakes to finish. We were so full I had to take a sausage roll home to eat later and all under 10 syns per person. I can heartily recommend this cafe and to cap it all I lost 4 lbs this week and was Slimmer of the week . at last somewhere to go out to eat that caters for us on a healthy eating plan! Lovely menu and OAP specials too. Ask for your discount if you are a SW member!! Thank you Nicky for being an answer to a prayer.

We visited on a wet n cold Wednesday lunchtime but the atmosphere inside was vibrant whilst also intimate.

I have been to Nickys Bistro for a meal with my partner and 2 kids. We had Turkish kebabs , rice , salad and Mince pies for pudding. All the food was incredible especially the mince pies. My son is Autistic and is very fussy with food and Nicky asked what his favourite food was and went straight to the kitchen and prepared his favourite food. My son loved it and it made him feel very special. It’s a great place for families to go together. There is a toy corner and also in the toilets there is Baby supplies, wipes, Nappies, nappy bags etc just in case parents have forgotten to bring some. There’s also Body shop products to try out and order if you wish. The Bistro is spotlessly clean and also are the toilets. All the staff are very friendly and helpful . They made us feel very welcome. We also tried a couple of cocktails with were fantastic. I have also ordered some Chinese takeaway food from the Bistro and a bottle of cocktail. The food was delivered within 10 mins and tasted fantastic. We loved it all. My Boys especially enjoyed the sweet corn soup. They also do lots of Gluten free food, vegan food and slimming world foods. I highly recommend Nickys Bistro and will definetly been returning .
