Attentive staff with good knowledge of the menu. Excellent wine. All courses were just the right temperature. Good to be in a restaurant where people were not shouting at each other. Very enjoyable evening.

An extensive choice of options on the menu. The food was outstanding. Freshly made. Tasty savoury as well as sweet options. I would have preferred tea leaves to tea bags so as to bring the cup of tea up to the same standard as the food. Though I did appreciate the china tea cup. Ambiance very much one of a traditional tea room. It and the service excellent. Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful spot to have lunch while shopping in beautiful Stamford. The food was first class and the service was attentive, friendly with a a good dose of fun.

Such a fantastic and worthy project to save food otherwise destined for the bins. A huge variety of tasty meals, vegetables and fruit served by very friendly volunteers. Highly recommended.

Had a tuna baguette made freshly to order. A-MA-ZING! Nice cozy little shop. Friendly staff. Good prices and a large variety of yummy treats and snacks! You must also try their curly wurly brownie! Will be definitely coming back to try some flatbreads very soon!

Called in for a sandwich and they were just closing up, said no problem and they allowed Millie our little Westie in too. Brought her some water and chicken which was very kind and served us our baguettes and drinks, which were delicious. No rush to close up, really good service, thank you.

We had a takeaway from here years ago when visiting friends and it was flipping amazing! When friends invited us to travel ~1.5 hours for a curry with them on Saturday night, as soon as they told me that this is where we would be going, I had no hesitation in saying yes! I wasn't disappointed - amazing food and lovely curry house!

WOW What a place. We have just returned from the most amazing meal. All food cooked to order and well worth the wait. The chefs are amazing and their food is outstanding. Lovely atmosphere with exceptional staff who are so friendly and welcoming. You must try the duck lasagne...it was stunning and my husband had the crab linguine which he said was amazing. Desserts were a real treat and the tiramisu and panecotta were the best. We have eaten in many Italian Restaurants and this is our favourite. You must give it a try but I would advise on booking as it gets very busy and sadly people were being declined due to capacity

Everything about our experience when hosting a reception in The Lambert Room last week was first class. From the reception and reservations teams to the welcoming staff on arrival and specifically Jane who looked after our party have been incredibly professional and friendly. Not to mention the food and wine - excellent and very fairly priced. The fact that The George still doesn't expect a deposit when booking, instantly assures you that the event is going to be a wonderful experience. Thank you everyone!
