We enjoyed an excellent meal in this gem of a restaurant tucked away in an alleyway in beautiful Stamford. A warm welcome on a relatively quiet evening with a small number of other diners but a pleasant atmosphere. My starter of mixed insalata was beautifully presented and very tasty especially with the traditional Sardinian flatbread which came with it. The recommended glass of red wine was the perfect accompaniment. Main course were also superb - my wife praised the seafood spaghetti very highly and my ravioli with a salad was wonderful. An excellent white wine and finally Poli grappa rounded off a perfect evening. We would definitely recommend Amore and hope to return soon.

Amore is a fabulous Italian restaurant. The food is delicious and plentiful and the service is friendly and efficient. They went out of the way to cater for my dad who has walking problems . Can’t recommend it highly enough.

We were greeted upon entering the restaurant and seated immediately. We had a lovely table by the window and drinks were provided very quickly. Menu had changed since our last visit and we were not disappointed. The food was spectacular and we could not fault anything. The waiters/waitresses were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend and we will definitely be returning.

Attentive staff with good knowledge of the menu. Excellent wine. All courses were just the right temperature. Good to be in a restaurant where people were not shouting at each other. Very enjoyable evening.

Steaks good but pasta massively undercooked and when mentioned this got a bit of an attitude back which was less than professional Pasta was redone and then was OK but do you really have to justify why your pasta was not cooked...? This restaurant could be fantastic but i feel its missing that extra polish / specialness needed to justify the prices charged We came once and I'm not sure about going back Its good but is it that good - for me the jury is out

Good pasta, as you would hope and a decent wine list. Service friendly and a buzzy atmosphere. Tables ticked over and the restaurant remained busy all the time.

Booked a table here for our first date night since our little boy was born and we were not disappointed. It was busy when we got there but that’s never a bad sign and as for the food and the service we couldn’t knock either at all 10/10. Thank you for a beautiful experience.

This is a lovely little Italian restaurant down one of the little side alleys off the main shopping area. The food was super. We had Lasagne and Risotto…generous portions, piping hot and very tasty…staff welcoming and friendly. Well worth a visit if you are in the area.

This is tucked away in an alleyway off the High St, and was attractive and welcoming. Quite busy from 6pm onwards. The food was fabulous and the service exemplary. The waiting staff dealt with us very quickly to allow Hubby to eat a main and dessert in limited time, so thanks for that! Our only issues were the absence of cheesecake, and we found the pricing a bit odd - the main courses were very reasonably priced but the starters were astronomical - over £10 for bruschetta. Luckily we don't usually have room for starters :-) We had a swift and early dinner before a show and enjoyed it a lot. Although we are not local we will make a point of returning when we have more time to enjoy it.

Half of the menu was unavailable including pizzas and lasagna, which are the staple food of an Italian restaurant. The pasta dishes (crab linguine but you had to dig hard to find the crab) and Italian meatballs in tomato sauce (a very basic Italian dish yet nothing to write home about) were overpriced (£20 and £16) and not worth the money. The crispy squid starter was however delicious (£12) but a glass of small house red wine at £6.50 is really over the top. Total meal for 2 @£61 which is more expensive than Paris (where I live). I shall definitely not be returning.
