An extensive choice of options on the menu. The food was outstanding. Freshly made. Tasty savoury as well as sweet options. I would have preferred tea leaves to tea bags so as to bring the cup of tea up to the same standard as the food. Though I did appreciate the china tea cup. Ambiance very much one of a traditional tea room. It and the service excellent. Highly recommended.

We booked afternoon tea here after our visit to Burghley Christmas market. The service and friendliness of staff was wonderful. The afternoon tea itself was delicious, with a good variety of sandwiches and selection of fresh homemade cakes. There was plenty, in fact we had to take it home as couldn't manage it all. It was very reasonable at £21 pp, we will definitely return. Thank you

This place is like stepping back in time. The Drawing Room is within an old department store and has all the charm of years gone by. The staff were lovely. They have a wide range of food, breakfast, lunch and afternoon tea. We stopped by for tea and cake and it was fab. The food is all made on the premises and is tasty and hot. We will be going back.

Walking around the ground floor of Sinclair's, the traditional, family-run, independent retail shop in the heart of Stamford, Lincolnshire, my ears caught the sound of gentle music coming from the staircase leading up to the first floor. Venturing upwards I found myself being greeted by the smiling Lisa (the owner), and soon after, enjoying a delicious quiche salad. This tea room, cafe, small restaurant, call it what you may, is a delight and for me, a special find. If you're spending time in Stamford, drag yourself away from the Georgian splendour and head for Sinclair's on St Mary's Street. Climb the stairs and you too could find yourself enveloped in the delightful welcome, the relaxing ambience, and the tasty and appetising food that is The Drawing Room. Nicely done, Lisa and team.

We came across this restaurant as we were stretching our legs on our journey home. What a find it was! My husband said his home made shortcrust pie lunch was better than our previous evening meal at a Michelin starred restaurant! High praise indeed!

This was our first visit, we were passing through Stamford en route for home and decided to stop for lunch and a walk about, so we discovered this place quite by chance. We will definitely be back, it’s a very nice room, with a lovely ambience and excellent food and service. We had lunch, pie of the day, which was lovely home-cooked food. Fantastic mashed potatoes! If I lived in Stamford, I would be in every day.

Just had tea and a cake with my lovely work colleague friends. What a gorgeous little tea shop this is. We were greeted by a lovely member of staff armed with a hot sample of winter tea. They also had delicious vegan cupcakes and all of the treats were beautifully presented. To add to the experience, all of the teas, coffees, infusers etc. are available to buy. The shop itself smells of delicious things and the ambience is mellow and inviting. I was so impressed and will definitely be visiting again. All of the staff are super friendly - thank you ladies for a lovely afternoon in a perfect tea-lovers heaven!

Attended after church ⛪️ service ( funeral), Both the gentleman and the lady in attendance were very helpful and kind given the circumstances. They couldn't do enough for all. The pub itself was lovely, definitely I would highly recommend to anyone 😀
