Saffron lounge in South Kesteven

I was asked to sort a night out but my fellow workers at Richard Lester transport Ltd and only 1 place came to mind saffron in Worksop me and my wife &kids come regular .. so 17 of us piled in and from start to finish was a brilliant night the staff at saffron are so friendly and nothing is to much trouble and the food is amazing.. highly recommend saffron lounge to anyone wanting authentic Indian cuisine a great atmosphere and 5 star service Thanks guys Keep up the good work

Saffron Lounge is the most wonderful Indian cuisine dining experience for miles around. Food exceptional Menu full of choice Service exceptional Value for money excellent Hussain and his team are attentive but not intrusive. Allowing you to enjoy your wonderful food without any pressure. Nothing is too much. They can cater for Gluten Free which our daughter loves. Last but no means least, Sharon. She is so much more than the lady behind the bar. She always has a kind word to say and a welcoming smile. Thank you... To anyone reading this you have to go a very long way to top this authentic dining experience. P.S. The house curry is off the charts!!

Been visiting the Saffron Lounge for 15 years and always have a brilliant meal, the food is beautiful, the service is outstanding and everyone is friendly and helpful. Highly recommend a visit to this amazing restaurant!

Saffron never disappoints, always lovely food . I like to have the fish which is nice, light and tasty. The service is excellent and organised, with friendly staff. We do like to eat in but sometimes have a takeaway which is always hot and just as tasty.

This has to be the best Indian around ! Never had a bad meal in 15 years ! The staff are always warm and friendly. The food is always perfect with a massive selection of chef’s recommendations. The food is always excellent value with prices far more competitive than other restaurants at comparable quality . We’ve eaten at restaurants worldwide from London to New York, however this place always ranks at top spot for me and my family . Well done Hussain !! Here’s to another 15 years 🥃

I would highly recommend Saffron. We visit on a regular basis (and have done for a number of years) to sit in the restaurant, and we have also used the takeaway service. The food is always beautiful, hot, well presented and cooked to order. The staff are always very friendly and professional and the service is always top notch. If you are unsure about a dish or what you may like, the staff are always happy to give their input of dishes that they would recommend to try according to your personal taste/preferences, and this can also be tailored through the menu. The restaurant is clean and comfortable and provides a relaxed environment. Again I would highly recommend the Saffron and it's staff.

The vegetarian dishes were incredible! Fresh, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. The paneer tikka was amazing. Garlic Naan was soft and warm. Friendly staff and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Called tonight to get a take away. Our first visit. I can't recommend this place enough. We were greeted by an extremely friendly and welcoming gentleman. We placed our order and whilst waiting he brought us some small dishes of curry for us to try. Very tasty I must say! On getting home amd eating our food, everything was cooked to perfection. Very tasty, and you can tell its all freshly made. This will certainly be the place we come for our curry's from now on. 100% the best Indian takeaway and restaurant in Worksop and the surrounding area. Thank you saffron

Been going to Saffron for a few years now we have never had a complaint. Spent Christmas Day there yesterday with the family we had a fabulous time, food was delicious as always. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely do it again next year.

We had a party of 4 people who ordered from saffron and all of them became ill with vomiting. only one person in the party didn't order the food and they were fine. I tried calling to place a complaint and I was met with "Well we were busy last night and no one else complained". This isn't an appropriate response at all and there was zero apology offered or any offer of a refund. this is my first and last experience with Saffron Lounge and I will be deterring people in the future.

Stating 3 stars, as we didn't get to try their food, so there is every chance it would have been nice. The low rating is a result of the attitude of the man when I called to query a delivery charge. Even though their online ordering stated order 'x' amount more £ to get free delivery, I was told their website didn't state as much, even after reading back their web address to confirm this detail. I must have been imagining what I saw a minute earlier. To the staff, remember the adage; price is what attracts customers, service is what keeps them coming back.

Lovely food, excellent service.

Me and my friend's go-to place for a curry fix! Always get what we want and come away satisfied. Been to a couple other places out of town and realised what good value place we have right here. I tend to choose the hot ones and daren't order more than a Jalfrezi here now as the heat level never disappoints! although they have since lowered the heat levels - which is good.

Food was excellent and the staff fantastic it was a great night and we all enjoyed the food 😀

My first time visiting on a Saturday night and we were shown to our table within two minutes of arriving the three gentlemen that served us couldn’t of been any more polite. I had tandoori mix grill with vindaloo sauce and the vindaloo sauce was banging exactly as it should be. The pickle trays we had would have easily spread around a table of four very happy will visit again.

I had the best curry ever so full of flavour just be careful when you say you want the hottest curry ever because this place will deliver it was so hot absolutely beautiful thank you so much to the staff and the chef if you are after a hot curry in Worksop this is the place yummy 😋

Visited the Saffron lounge for an early meal, Friday night. The restaurant was busy even in the early evening. The service was impeccable- the staff could not do enough for us and were so polite and welcoming. The atmosphere in the restaurant was lovely, with clean and today decor. The food was beautiful- we tried dishes we have never tried before and everything was well presented and so tasty. We will definitely be returning and this will also be our number one choice for takeaway too from now on! Thank you for a lovely evening!

You wouldn't expect such a nice place on Ryton Street. We visited during the week so it wasn't busy. We had a table booked but I think it would be fine just to walk in. I'm not sure about weekends though. The staff were super friendly and very helpful. They made sure you were comfortable and they were there whenever you needed them. The food was also amazing and the portions were huge. I highly recommend this place!

My son, his family and myself were here tonight. My grandson is Non-Verbal autistic, so when he has a problem he screams. We were asked if this was going to be a problem by a staff member as SOMEONE complained. She was rude to say the least. Not impressed at all with her attitude towards a child with severe learning difficulties!

We order early on a Friday evening and the food was well over and hour to reach us. When it did, everything was cold - without exception. We spent £55 on two starters, two mains, two rice, two chips and a naan and I was complex underwhelmed and to be honest felt robbed!

Credit, where credit is due! I really like this place. The vibe is really chilled and relaxing, just perfect for a dinner full of conversations with friends. The team working there are amazing, cannot be any more thoughtful and accommodating and the service is impeccable. I can't remember what I had for food specifically, as I like to mix and try mains all the time, but the food was delicious! That is a definite.

Amazing food, the flavours were intense and delicious, and the customer service was very friendly. We were told which dishes were which as they braught them over, the restaurant was very clean and the food was fresh and placed on heated stands so we could enjoy a long warm meal. Staff was very polite and friendly. The prices are adequate to the food quality, and overall the experience was just amazing. 10/10 will be visiting again in the future with my family. We were even able to take our leftovers home when we asked, and they packed them up for us. Definitely recommend

First time visiting, loved the food and service.

Staying with friends this isn’t our usual indian , last time we stayed here we had a take out from janook and it was awful , cold food and not how it should be . This time our friends ordered from saffron and it was amazing , waited 20 mins over delivery estimated times but was worth it , all food was piping hot and fresh . Very tasty. Will definitely use again when we are with friends , pity they don’t deliver to Nottingham ! I had saffron delight and my partner had chicken passanda , pilau rice and chips to share , keema nan and kulcha nan and enough to take home for tomorrow , friends had chicken Bhuna and lamb dopiazo pilau rice and poppadoms again tasty, fresh and well worth the extra cost . Keep up the amazing service and we will continue to order !

Nice curry house with friendly service and nice and clean. Food came out quick and was pretty good. Loved my Jalfrezi and Vindaloo hot saag aloo but the naans were a little flat and a bit hard. Other than that all pretty good.

Ordered for delivery tonight, 1.5 hrs later I called them to be told was on its way, 45 mins later still waiting then driver called to say he was on way. Sorry but didn't fancy a cold curry after its been on a 45 min journey round worksop. Won't be ordering from here in the future. Disgusting customer service

This place is a hidden gem in Worksop. The food is A MAY ZING!! For fish lovers out there can recommend the Machli tikka and the chefs king prawn special. Fantastic. Restaurant is lovely and warm. Welcoming and very attentive staff. I'll continue to eat here. Would of been more stars but Google mean and only let's you give 5.

Let me be fully honest here as usual. The first time i visited this place I found the food to be overly sweet and it wasn't to my taste. We've been back today to give these guys another try. The food was way nicer than we expected. The onion bhaji was the best I've had for a long time. The curry itself tasty and generous. The owner, Hussain was courteous and friendly. I'll be back here regularly. Top marks from me.
