The best restaurants in St James Northampton East Midlands

Usually I only ever see this place when it's crowded - on Northampton Saints match days. However, busy or not, it's a delightful place with friendly service and the best beer in town - Phipps IPA. A proper pub.

I waited outside for the driver and I was freezing , because the driver marked the order delivered with 15 minutes before he arrived...

Well what can I say...the overwhelming stench of blocked toilets put us all off our food. We were deciding on what to eat and just couldn't get the smell out of our minds so just left....how this place is still open is beyond me....

They cooked a better steak than Millet and Carter. At a fraction of the cost. Service was excellent and friendly. Ribs were great and my Dad thoroughly enjoyed this start to his night out. The £10 lunch time deal is amazing too

Simply the best cafe in Northampton with a variety on the menu to suit everyone l! Fresh food that is a great portion size and has never ever been a poor experience in every order I’ve made it’s been 10/10. The lamb shank is my absolute favourite and the breakfasts are amazing not forgetting the sticky toffee pudding!!

Have to say re gluten free had high hopes as they specialist in burgers. Walked in and great customer service but asked I'd had gluten free burger bun and told yes...turns out can gave a burger served in foil tray or served wrapped in lettuce ....as a major chain they should have evolved to have a gluten free burger bun surely as have subway it's not hard . Disappointed tbh.

Catered for a funeral here last week a lovely venue but holding it upstairs maynot be for everyone especially if you have elderly guests as the outside stairs are steep

Very unhappy, got the deal with coffee and toastie, and used £1 voucher for a cake.. Total £9.37...when asked where's the deal was told it's one or the other sorry about that... Should of been £6.50. No effort to put right or good customer service.. Will be going Starbucks from now on..

Small branch but food is always 100% on point! Some great staff that are helpful and go extra mile - Elliot and rest of team made sure we had a great time when took my boys and a load of their mates for a celebration- a lot of food and all super quality!

Go chill out here and watch idiots parking outside through the big windows. Great fun. Get a coffee.
