Sixfields in Northampton

Sixfields is always a great place for food and drink and to watch the game. The atmosphere is great and the staff are super friendly. Jess is always chatty and goes above and beyond.

Came here after a Northampton game and the pub was packed, however still got the attention of any regualr visit. Lauren served our food and was very attentive!

Absolutely disappointed tbh ... The staff are friendly & it's dog friendly but ... Food .... Fish finger baguette : 3 dried up Fish fingers no mayonnaise Bacon chicken onion wrap: Bacon none mayonnaise a small blob onion none Chips plain & chips salt & pepper: Basically we ordered chips with the main the time they took might as well been pudding... salt & pepper chips looked like the salt & pepper was just dumped as a lump on top ... Bar staff / waiting staff pleasant enough.. Cook needs to get another job .. You would have thought with the pub across the way closed now foodwise they would up their game apparently not been going to the Sixfields tavern for years but it will be along time if ever we will go again

Went out for lunch today and we're very happy with the service we received. We were greeted and looked after by jess who was very helpful and made it a very pleasant experience for our special needs clients. She was Interactive with all and even remembered names and orders! Very happy with our visit today and would recommend very highly.

Absolutely terrible service ordered food waited over hour went to bar asked where is it only to be told order bot gone though stay well clear poor poor service. Was not ordered on app was ordered with your staff at bar. Come on management look for solutions to improve not excuses its whole purpose of reviews to improve

Visited last weekend for lunch and was served by Alex. Brilliant customer service and definitely worth a visit. Good food, drinks and lovely staff - what more could you want? Thank you!

The food was served 1.5 hours late, several dishes were at least partly stone cold and 2 of the orders were wrong. I appreciate they were having staffing issues that day but it would have been much better to tell us this upfront rather than us having to find out the hard way! However the staff were very nice and the manager gave us a partial refund.

This would kill Christ himself. There would be no Easter. I don't know if I'll make it through the night. Is rare fish a thing I mean I've heard of sushi but it's never been in batter. The burger was crunchy and made me sweat in fact I'm still sweating, feeling dizzy, sitting here in A+E praying they have some sort of witch doctor to bring life back into my failing organs it's a minus 10 from me and my partner whom I'm afraid didn't make it back to the car. 🪦

Met here for lunch with family on bank holiday Monday. Lovely warm smile as we arrived by staff. We were looked after by Alex throughout our visit nothing was too much for her, her service is a great assett to the place. Food was lovely as we have found before. We will be back again very soon

Had a lovely lunch here a few days ago. Quiet, but we enjoyed it very much. Food was awesome and reasonably priced. The staff were brilliant too. A lovely lady called Alex went above and beyond for us, and she was so kind and thoughtful. Had such a great time. Definitely recommend going!

Me and my daughter came in for lunch today and glad to say we absolutely loved it, we tried the new lunch menu, i had the texas toast and absolutely loved it it was presented amazing and my daughter had the cheese burger quasadilla and she enjoyed it that much we will be coming back for more couldn't fault the service at all they where amazing I would like to thank Megan for being very helpful with everything. We got our food very quickly. Will be recommending this pub to my friends and family.

Honestly some of the best customer service I have ever received, really friendly and approachable staff especially the assistant manager Jonny. Had a really pleasant experience would highly recommend.

Went in for a drink before the cinema. Ordered on the app, took about 20 minutes to get it as the barman carried on serving those who came to the bar first, and it says to download the app and take a seat because it's quicker on signage!! Staff were rude when we asked about delay!

I went in there with my family and got served by this lovely lady name was Jess and she was so lovely and we had a lovely meal and it was just very nice so was she she’s like someone you could have a laugh with. All round was a great service would go there again.

When we came in we were warned that a very large table had just been seated so there may be a 1/2 hr wait. Ordered and we only waited a few minutes, all food arrived together and we all enjoyed our meals. Alina served us and she was very polite and attentive.

What lovely staff, all very friendly, helpful, manager came to see me about hiding a birthday cake, she was so helpful, went above and beyond to make it special for us, moved tables and chairs to accommodate us as we hadn't pre booked as we were not sure who was coming, food was great, fast service, children had play area to burn off some energy, will definitely be coming back, thank you Charlie and your helpful polite staff

What a shame the "grill chef" cant cook a steak properly and can't make sure a breakfast is warm before sending it out. Asked for medium rare steak the thing was still mooing, the mushrooms, toast and bacon were cold on the breakfast so asked for it to be replaced. Breakfast came out swimming in grease so couldn't eat it , the steak followed and was cooked the exact same possibly less. The manager couldn't have been more helpful and couldn't apologise anymore than she did. The "cook" came out and saw how rare the was and said it's because the steak is to big and fatty. I found her attitude to be one of what do you want me to do about it . The table behind us also had to send her scrambled egg on toast back as the scrambled eggs were stone cold and when it came back the toast was burnt and she left telling me she wouldn't return. I think its a poor show that your "chef" is basically saying that the meat quality isnt great doesn't reflect well on your company

I come here to study most weeks they have wifi and charging plugs the food is cheap and really nice, the place is perfect for me lovely atmosphere, the staff are absolutely wonderful and cant do enough for me. especially Alex she is so lovely she always goes that extra mile for me i love it here and will continue to come time and time again thanks all so much

I must say I was in the sixfields traven this morning and I was served by a girl called Jess, wasn't feeling great today but her customer skills and service made all the difference just saying.thank you for the experience 👍

Having used the Hungry horse for a few years now and having had many good experiences unfortunately the same couldn't be said about eating there yesterday. I went out with my family for a birthday meal, the pub was very quiet, we ordered our food at 16:20, at 17:00 the 1st 2 meals were brought out and they were both cold, it was evident that they must have been sat on the side for a long time before being brought over to our table, the waitress apologized and took them away to replace with fresh...the children's meals were ok so they continued to eat. At 17:25 I flagged up to the duty manager that we were still waiting for replacements but unfortunately we only had until 17:50 as we had to take our son to his boys brigade club. The food arrived at 17:35, this time it was acceptable but even rushing to eat we only managed half of it before having to leave. We were refunded for the 2 meals but overall a birthday meal that we were looking forward to was completely ruined, it has put us off using the hungry horse and won't be in a hurry to return. Such a shame that this place has gone downhill like this. Gutted.

Very spacious pub went in on week day lunchtime food was good so can't comment on the evening atmosphere overall a nice pub .

To be fair it was a football night so staff were far too busy and not enough of them. Menu needs updating asap as 4 options were not available at all. Otherwise a pleasant pub with good value food.

Called here to watch the football while away and all the seating was reserved. We stayed anyway intending to watch the match standing and just before the start someone came to find us because a table freed up (we didn't ask for this). We ended up right in front of a TV and had a great evening so I can't fault the service in the least.
