Great place for a family meal or even a date night with your partner

Easy to find and parking was lucky to be just outside the entrance, great food, great service, great value. We all tried food that we had never eaten before and all had a great evening. Thanks and keep up the good work.

We took a takeaway and relaxed enjoyed our meal with a film. We will book a table next time.

We we lucky to win a meal, which had been donated by the Wok Inn. We were made to feel important and service from all staff was excellent. The food was lovely and we enjoyed the sharing platter and choices from the menu. It was very quiet- Thursday evening but I've been when it has been busy. Always well organised.

It's alright. The place needs a little bit of modernising, there is an old koi carp in a tank when you enter. But I think it must be unwell or very old. And the tank is not clean so I don't think it's the best thing to have when you're trying to eat. but the food is good and the quantities are nice. £25 each for each person. It can mount up quite quickly. And the food is good but next time I'll probably just have a couple of things off the menu. Also I would recommend to the owners to buy some blinds for the restaurant as on sunny days the light will be blinding some of the people by the windows.

We love the food here and have it for a treat, however over the last 4 weeks we've called for delivery twice at 8pm to be told they are closed! It's just annoying! Put on your website that delivery is closed! When sue had this place, this stuff would have never happened, definitely gone down hill, such a shame

Came here for a friend's birthday. There were 9 of us on a Sunday evening, we went for the all you can eat option. The platter starter was absolutely 🤤 this was followed by a huge amount of duck with my friend having the vegetarian option as she doesn't like duck, this was also absolutely delicious and full of flavour. Main courses were amazing as well. A hidden gem in Northampton town centre. Excellent service from the waitresses and from the manager. Highly recommend as a fantastic all you can eat in Northampton town centre!

We really enjoyed our first meal here at Wok Inn, food comes out relatively fast, and it’s good! 2nd visit wasn’t as good but still okay. Parking available directly outside the restaurant too

Looked forward all week for this I’ve been to this restaurant in the past and never been dissatisfied Had a take away today and it was awful It was late Cold Prawn toast was oily and beige - inedible, had to bin it☹️ The duck was not crispy☹️☹️ The egg fried rice was nice as was the satay chicken though cold but that was all So very very disappointed☹️☹️☹️ I very much doubt this is the standard they serve in the restaurant…it would be sent back… A waste of £32 ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️

Food was average, the service was diabolical owner every rude won’t recommend out dated like the owner attitude. One nice woman staff.

It was ok. Not much options for vegetarians. We wanted to choose our starters but they just brought a platter out. Also we said don’t put the fish near the other meat. We didn’t know that they put squid next to the chicken and my mother in law ate the chicken she had such a bad allergic reaction the next day.

Ordered online, which I got 2 chicken curries, a boiled rice and a portion of chips. The chicken had a slimy texture, the curry sauce was like a stock and the chips were all over cooked and thrown in the bin. Waste of money and wouldn't order again

I am usually driving into the restaurant for take away food, and I absolute love it. Very friendly and helpful stuff, the order is ready in about 10-15 mins. It’s absolutely delicious always, comparing to everything that I’ve tried in Northampton this is the best Chinese cuisine. Look no further, Wok Inn is your restaurant. Thank you🙏🏼❤️

Got a takeaway, some of the rice was cooked. The chicken was rubbery and tastes like it had freezer burn.the curry sauce had separated and tasted sickly sweet. They lost a customer tonight.

Lovely surprise birthday meal. Only thing was the background music needed to be worked on, only a few tracks on a loop. We found it funny in the end....there are a few more Christmas records than those playing 😁

Amazing service great food staff was very attentive from when we arrived till the time we left. The food was fresh and delicious well prepared. If your in Northampton area stop in if you enjoy Chinese it is worth every penny price is fair for the amount of food and quality.

The food was amazing - it is set up like a buffet, but they bring the dishes out to the table instead of you going to get it from a buffet table and you ask for more if you want any. The portion sizes were really good and the quality of food was great. Haven't been here in years and pleased it was still good

Had a great meal here with my wife the other night. Hadn't intended on popping in but our original option that evening had closed. The food was excellent and very tasty. Even for a midweek meal. The drinks were ok. Service was great and I thought the prices were better than the competition. Overall a good experience and we'll be back.

Just after entering the building, the guy at the reception very annoyingly told us that we would have to spend a minimum of 22 pound each, which we found very offensive.We asked if we could order things separately and not from the menu which he told us about and in that he said that we just can't order one thing and the minimum price per person was £13.Me and my wife we were shocked cause nobody just orders appetizer and go people do order main course as well and I don't think main course there is any less than £10 minimum. . It was unnecessary and I assumed that he thought we could not pay it based on our dress or our brown skin colour. I can say for sure if it was a white man or couple he wouldn't have said so. We were very disappointed with this. Went to mayflower instead, spent more than what he assumed we couldn't, and returned home happy. Poor and racist behaviour based on prejudices!!

Excellent customer service by Peter and his staff. Wonderful hot, tasty food. I loved the starters as they was plenty of variety. I ordered the Chicken and Pineapple with Plain rice. Lush!!! Really worth visiting The Wok Inn. Lovely atmosphere, welcoming and friendly. Sorry no photos. Prices were very competitive. £24.50 was very good for what we had. Families welcomed

Booked at the last minute for Sunday lunch time and they were very accommodating. The selection of food was good, cooked fresh and served to the table in an impressive amount of time. Food tasted lovely the staff were friendly and were on hand for special dietary requirements, in all an easy 5 stars

First time here. Tidy clean restaurant. Bright crisp white tablecloths. Friendly helpful, attentive staff. Nicely presented food, tasty, fresh and hot. Finger bowl and chopsticks supplied. Reasonable price. Would visit agains recommended.

Good quality all you can eat. Portion sizes are fairly small (in a good way) and if you haven't had enough, just order more. The crispy duck is to die for. Not really the place for veggies or vegans . They know their customers , been doing it for a long time so why change a winning formula

Honestly one of the best Chinese meal I have ever had. Freshly cooked, and very tasty and best off all eat as much as you can. Staff very friendly and helpful 👍🏾

Had a great time, and fantastic meal(s) at this place. Authentic food, and plenty of it. The starter platter and duck pancakes is probably enough for a lot of people, so depending on your group, you might want to be sensible with how much you have if you're wanting something specific. Great food, great service, great atmosphere.

My personal recommendation is to not snack on anything long before you come here to eat from their "as much as you like" menu. After a plate of crackers, a colossal amount of starters, followed by crispy duck pancakes, 3 x main courses and noodles and rice, paying the bill, driving home and collapsing on the settee, I'm still in pain from simply consuming too much food 😣! Quite expensive for this type of menu, but what we were served was all very tasty, and like I say, there was plenty of it. A nice touch was when my wife got a personal lesson from the boss on how to use chopsticks correctly which has made her day, even if it did seem to take her that long to eat her food with them !! 😂😂

We had a nice meal here this evening. We are in the area visiting family and decided to go out to eat. Food was good, service was excellent. Staff all polite and attended to our every need very fast. Gave a 5 star as it’s nothing fancy or flash but a bargain for what you get.

Ordered 2King prawn chow mein, 1 King prawn fried rice, 2 curry sauce and chips. The chow mein was very dry and scarce onions and spring onions. Not tasty at all. The king prawn fried rice hardly had any taste to it either and the curry sauce so bland. Very disappointing. I would not order from this restaurant again. Three quarters of the meal will be wasted.

Starter platter for 2 people was a bit too much, but the flavours of everything was amazing. Great value for money though and great service as well. I'm looking forward to coming back again soon.

I can’t believe how rude the stuff are. Order takeaway , call to let them know their are late more then 1 hour and basically says to “fu…off” . How you can be so inhumane.never ever again will order from them.

Great evening with 17 other people in the group and with the rest of the restaurant full they still managed to get all the food out in time. The all you can eat meal is a fantastic experience and not expensive either.

I was lured into this place by the number of eaters sitting in the restaurant. We were shown to the seat quickly and waitress arrived to take the orders. We ordered a couple of starters, main course and drinks. To our surprise everything arrived within minutes . Seemed like food was made early the day and they just reheated it to serve at night. Everything was too oily or bland . Our seaweed starter was burnt . Prawns were undercooked. Chicken starters and Chicken fried rice was cold. The only saving grace was a glass of apple juice out of a packaged carton. The waitresses seem to be in a hurry. The place is dim lit, may be it's a style but the old carpets kind of give you a very dreary feeling.

Used to visit here often. This was the first visit since lock down and we were a bit disappointed. We went for our daughters 13th birthday so wanted it to be special. The starters were really tasty as always and couldn't fault them, but then we were rushed, plates cleared away before we finished eating, forgot to bring any rice dishes out at all, then they literally whipped off the table cloth as we were still sat talking and stared until we left.... not a relaxing time or special dinner.. the food was very good though.

I have been using the wok inn for probably 30 years but never again , I think it must have recently changed hands . Takeaway took nearly 2 hours, arrived stone cold, greasy and ended up in the bin. When I rang to complain they were unapologetic and rude , never again will I give them my money

Lovely place been going there for 20 years and still amazing . Even thou i live in Lincolnshire i always book soon as i go Northamptonshire .

Food was ok but nothing to write home about.. .. staff were rude and not that helpful. We felt very uncomfortable here, rushed and that we were being watched. To be fair we were late, but that was due to a mix up, my friend tryed to explain, but recieved an interrogation instead! It spoilt my friends birthday. I won't be going back, there are far superior Chinese restaurants in Northampton with polite staff! I was even refused a paper napkin and told to use the finger bowl. Which was taken away before I finished my main course! They tried to miss the duck course and we weren't offered the soup course either.. We were constantly told of the time limit and felt under pressure... Not a good experience ⛔

We had a family dinner on Thursday, the food was very nice. We tried here because our place to go was temporarily closed. When we walked in damp smell bother me for a while, but with quick service and hot food on a table I was busy clearing all this lovely food. We had mixed starter , it was massive and had a good assortment. Then it followed by crispy duck and our choice of main meals. Mains had good flavours and good meat, fish or sea food selection. Overall experience was good. Would definitely go there agian.
