We had dinner here one quiet weekday evening. We had a very nice 3 course nice meal chosen from an extensive menu. The helpings were just of the right size for us (as pensioners), the food was tasty and served hot. The waitress was really polite, helpful and pleasant. The restaurant is located in a rectangular room well away from the bar areas, not particularly intimate but restful (I think it doubles up as a function room). There is a decent sized free car park at the rear of the pub (access is from a side road, not directly from the main road through Sleaford). Price wise, it was very reasonable. We would happily eat here again.

We are currently staying here. The room is gorgeous. Breakfast is gorgeous. The big problem here is service. Yesterday we walked in and as is the way here tragically had to queue at the bar here to order food and drink. Hardly a luxury experience. The charcuterie platter sadly had just Branson pickle on it. Strangely not a condiment I’ve seen in Europe in a platter. No caperberries here. No cornichon. Hardly any bread, hardly any anything really for the princely sum of £30. It took a bloody age to get to me. And when it did I could have cried. I paid £11 for a martini and I was told. Sorry, there are no olives. Seriously! Go boa jar of olives.

Used to be a nice boozer years ago. Women were not allowed in, got drenched going to gents if raining. No TV's etc. It was were Lincolnshire poachers went in on a Sunday to do business!! Awful now. Never go back to an old girlfriend ,or dud firework.! And you can't even get the date correct. 'open for 50years'. I used to play on the swings early 60's!!!!

I stay at different hotels every week with my line of work and i've honestly never been compelled to leave a poor review until I stayed at The Lincoln hotel. The staff we met on arrival were lovely, helpful and friendly. Checked us in and all smiles. Perfect. Walking up to our room, the hotel looks dated and run down, and has a rather strong and unpleasant smell. The corridor leading to our room was literally bare plaster with some paint scraped and missing in places. (Picture provided). The room itself was very small, and dirty. The bed and bedding were clean, the toilet had been well scrubbed, but cobwebs and dusty windows would be so easy to sort with a decent deep clean. The view of of the window into the court yard is unpleased. It's a mess, and another thing that would be so easy to just clean up with a couple of staff and an afternoon. We attended on Valentine weekend, which also happened to be my birthday weekend. Again, the staff at the bar were lovely, and when they heard it was my birthday we found a free "Happy Birthday" dessert in our room upon our return. My cousin was staying in another room on the other side of the hotel, ready for a night out on the Saturday to celebrate my birthday. When we returned to the hotel after our night out, at around 3am, we found that we were locked out of the main reception. All locked up, lights off, no sign of staff and no answer on the intercom or phone. I waited for 15 minutes or so before simply pulling the doors until they opened so that I could just go to bed. The following morning, my cousin called me to say that he was stuck in his room. His hotel room door was literally stuck in the locked position and wouldn't open. We went and spoke to staff who called someone out. 30 minutes later a chap arrived and had to break the door down just so my cousin could leave. He was not apologised to, or offer a free cup of tea or anything. Nothing was said to him when we finally made it to reception, the manager had been up to check the door before it was opened but was far from apologetic. To summerise, it wasn't the cheapest room, nor the most expensive (around £150 per night we stayed for 2 nights) but a standard of cleaning is not being met. The reception and bar staff were friendly, the manager was unhelpful and the whole place needs money spending on it to bring it up to date! Im not a professional cleaner, but give me a couple of days with some bleach and some paint and im sure I could spruce it up a bit compare to how it is. £30 on a tin of paint and an afternoon spend rolling it on the wall would be an improvement. I would not recommend. Another friend stayed in the premier inn and had a lovely room.

Very disappointing. Probably the worst pub in Lincoln by a mile. Owners (especially the women if that's what you want to call her) very rude and narcissistic, looks like she's on something all the time as her attitude is up and down like a yo-yo, I'm not sure if that's just her or what ever she's into clearly... her boyfriend (the actual owner) is brainwashed by her so he lets her run the pub into the ground. Pub is dirty, toilets disgusting (dead flies the lot) beer is chemically tasting, don't even go near the Guinness unless you want bits in your teeth unless you're hungry. Rear door is held open with a 30 year old broken speaker and garden hoses. Bar maids don't even collect glasses as they're too busy leaving the bar unoccupied and smoking it up outside like it's Hyde park. All this adding up to a dead pub with hardly any customers. It's like they're running this place into the ground, it could have good potential however due to the owners this place is barely afloat. Pool table takes your money and doesn't even give you a game. Friday night must consist of 10 people if that. All I can say is that it's such a shame, unfortunately the owners cannot manage a pub and it's customer base. I even heard the bar workers asking for narcotics. Stay away, there's 100 more better pubs in Lincoln then here.
