The best restaurants in Rothwell Kettering East Midlands

We were staying at the hotel opposite and had seen that this restaurant was mentioned by guests in their reviews. Having read the good reviews here too and looked at the menu, we decided to book. We were so glad we did! We had the most delicious meal - both of us really enjoyed what we ordered! We both tried something different to what we usually have elsewhere and weren’t disappointed. The food was hot and beautifully presented - the poppadoms and naan bread were really fresh, light and tasty. One of the best Indian meals we’ve had! The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient, and there was a really nice atmosphere in the restaurant. We would highly recommend.

We arrived at 8.30pm, we chose 3 starters for £14.95...these were all very tasty, then main courses, these were both excellent aswell, service was quick and the whole experience was without an issue. It's been 8 years since we ate here, long over due!! All I can say is Great Food cooked and served here and we will return at some point. 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Welcoming, warm and friendly. Lovely breakfasts; proper toast, lovely cooked eggs, no fat on the plate, really well cooked. Tasty coffee Fresh scones and cakes all made on the premises The best place for a drink, cake or sandwich in the town

Popped in by chance on our way back home to Manchester… they were fully booked but managed to accommodate us. Friendly attentive staff, delicious well portioned food at a very reasonable price. Thank you! We hope to visit again some time soon x

Too many dogs in store should be a limit. Great lovely service as usual though. Yummy hot chocolate 😋

This is a nice friendly pub that does good food and a good range of food. We had a dog so ate in the bar side but the annex restaurant looked really nice and was busy. No car park but there is some free parking very close so not an issue.

First and last ever takeaway from Ken Sing. Ordered Chinese style vegetable curry which was average in flavour, vegetables ok but not enough of them and sauce was gloopy and gelatinous. That's the best I'm afraid, the rest was very poor, dry old flavourless rice and chips the worst I've ever had. So bad I threw them away, soggy, cold, black bits, thick with grease and very, very old. I don't feel I like had a good satisfying meal, just regretful and annoyed that I spent my money on it.

New management team are really putting in the effort. Have been in a few times over the past two weeks (November 2024). Nice clean pub. Good selection at the bar. Reasonable prices. Great staff, friendly and accommodating. We were just in for a couple of drinks and some karaoke so didn’t eat anything. Hence no rating for food.

We alway use paprika as they are deliver quickly and food is always really good

This is a favourite restaurant of ours and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Food is always superb and the staff are friendly, kind and welcoming. Look forward to the next visit.

Yet again for the third (and last) they got the order wrong and food cold- Very disappointed when you look forward to a nice meal and you don’t get All you order and PAY for and Served Cold Thank god there is another provider close by and I can avoid returning to this shop.

Been before, had a takeaway. Was quite nice. Decided to take my partner and 6 month old baby for lunch. Got there at 1pm on a Saturday, the place is open serving people. For us to be turned around and told us the kitchen is closed but coffee is still being served. Turned down another customer behind us with the same answer. I would have thought a little coffee shop would have open arm invited us for food too if we wanted. 2x customers with a possibility of spending what £20 each? So because they couldn’t be arsed to cook some food they lost £40 of business! Yet they sit there with outdated decor and quite a dull appearance. Get some effort put in jeez!

Absolutely love this pub. Have visited previously with a different landlord in charge, & was unimpressed, but I heard it had changed hands so had another look. Totally different, very welcoming, vibrant, & friendly now. Much cleaner & much better offering, the new (?) boss has certainly lifted the place, happily chatting to all customers. Will definitely be back!

Waited 10 minutes at the drive through, I get it was after 2200 on a Saturday night but thought they must be cooking it fresh. The food was stone cold, how is that even possible unless it was ages old and they were trying to warm it up. Every time I go to this restaurant in particular something isn't right for what is a very simple process.
