Amazing food I am in Desborough still order from Ken sing it's top notch

Possibly the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. Thin tasteless Beef with Green Peppers in BBS, soggy special fried rice etc. REALLY wouldn't bother!

One of the worst Chinese I have had. Soggy aromatic duck, watery, very little tasting satay chicken with the cheapest chicken you can imagine , they even ruined the crispy seaweed, barely any flavour and not crispy. Poor tasting chow mein and £30 for it all. I could cook quickishes far superior one third the cost. How have they got 4.3 reviews star...... Unbelievable, I won't ever return or recommend. I have eaten in cheap and expensive restaurants. This is absolute rubbish. A whether spoons would cook you a much nicer Chinese dish for so much cheaper. Even if I paid £15 for all these dishes I wouldn't be happy. Rothwell deserves much better than this.

Ordered takeaway the other night beef curry and rice for myself special curry and chips for my wife and chicken noodle soup barbecue ribs and fried rice for my son came to nearly £40. Food was delivered went to eat and totally unedible my so called beef in my curry not beef don't now what it was but chewy and slimmy peas hard and onions chewy plus to much curry powder. My sons chicken noodle soup like hot dish water his barbecue ribs no meat on ribs at all just sauce only thing he ate was his rice. My wife's special curry again don't know what meat but chewy and slimmy and chips soggy the whole lot ended up in the bin. And ordered new Chinese from Desborough great wall. Kensington has gone right down hill and using very cheap products over 20 years lived in Rothwell Northamptonshire and always used Kensington upto a year ago then placed this order as fancied a Chinese but never again absolute rubbish and waste off money

Good quality and portion sizes for a very reasonable price, only negative is they put peas in the curry!

absolutely vile food, was told if we wanted to pick it up it would be ready asap, however if we wanted to wait for delivery it would be an hour and half. food is bland and it wasn’t very hot either, probably because it was taken on a tour of kettering before getting to us. like others mentioned we picked this place based on reviews, if only more people give them reviews perhaps many of us wouldn’t waste our money. one item we ordered we tried and threw in the bin straight away. price is expensive imo for what it is, and the portions are fine. i would not eat here again and really wouldn’t recommend it to anyone either.

This place is amazing , I may not eat here very often but when I do the food is always hot and fresh 5* Amazing Place can’t recommend enough

Best Chinese takeaway I've had in a long time. You know how sometimes takeaway food is just warm? Not this meal, food still hot even after driving home. Fantastic value for money and nice big portions. Loved it!

Usually very good but Christmas Eve meal dreadful, slow poor quality with parts of our order missing. An example of a great business taking on far too many orders and making a dreadful mess of itself. It's a shame as it has put us off a bit, would have rather the phone has been off the hook and they retained their usual quality, avoid during these periods.

Ordered a takeaway from Ken Sing in Rothwell, for delivery. On time and the food was the best. Teriyaki chicken is beautiful, Singapore noodles are lovely and spicy and the chicken in the curry Is so tender. Best Chinese takeaway yet. Well done, will deffo be back

My husband ordered two beef curries and two portions of chips he brought home upon eating 1/4 of mine I noticed something in it upon a exam it was piece of wire I phoned them up straight away they said put meal in containers and will pick it up with a refund the driver arrived five minutes layer and I showed him he said it piece of wire what chef cleans his wok out .the wire was sharp at 1.5 cm I have given them a week for a apology but nothing that if I had eaten it very dangerous No more ken sing for my family not with metal in it

When we lived in rothwell we used ken sing for Chinese takeaway food. Really nice fresh cooked food.

Chicken noodle soup is very nice, Definitely the best Chinese takeaway place in Rothwell. The man at the ordering station is always very kind and has an upbeat tone. Totally recommended.

Food was ok prawn crackers smelt of cigarettes not the bag the actual food

Great food. But who on earth does not have a card payment facility in their establishment these days. Seriously if the food was ok I would have turned and walked out. This should be a 5 stat review if it was based on the food alone.

Great food but more importantly their delivery drivers are the best! Very considerate of family homes with children sleeping, knock quietly and do not cause a fuss! Great team

Really bad customer service, get your order wrong and tried to say it wasn't their fault. Really worries me that I specifically asked for plain chicken as i cannot have gluten. Battered chicken was sent as the chef decided that he knew my allergy better than myself (its ok we don't use gluten but I have used wheat flour). Impossible to get a refund but i have have vouchers off my next order, No thanks I wont be ordering from you ever again. Would not recommend using for a take away

Begrudged to even leave 1 star. Total screw up with the order. Wrong items and also asked for a Gluten Free dish. They admitted it had wheat flour in it not understanding this meant it wasnt Gluten Free. Refused to send replacements or give a refund. Only offered money off a future order. Why would I ever want to order from them again? Absolutely terrible service.

Had the vegetable curry on three occasions ..and as good as the first. Delicious crunchy and satisfying. Great with fried rice. Recommended

order and said 1 hour wait didn't mind due to looking forward to it. came after a hour and a half was not hot and meat in special fried rice smelled off couldn't eat due to the fact made me fill sick worst food I have had for a long time. never ordering again

With many Chinese takeaways closed due to Covid 19 this was one of the few I could find that would deliver to our village and boy am I glad they do. I ordered the food hoping that it would be ok, but what arrived was simply delicious. The sweet and chicken balls, was a little misdescribed as they are not balls, but I don't care, they use proper chicken breast, not reconstituted chicken which I dislike. The mixed curry was full of flavout and beautifully cooked meats, and the spring roll was encased in the crustiest, least oily batter I have ever had before. So impressed that we ordered again the following week and again the food was outstanding. Their delivery charge is a little on the high side, but trust me it is worth it.

Fast service, excellent quality food. Not greasy with a nice amount of veggies so you don't have to feel too guilty! One of my favourite takeaways.

Wakey, wakey, it’s not the 70’s..! What a joke! We visited here to pick up a takeaway on New Year’s Eve for 16 family members. Ordered over the phone, no problem..45 mins later went to collect, only to be told cash only!! REALLY! At least tell us when we ordered. We were instructed to go and buy a drink at the pub and ask for cash back. Insult to injury. STOP TAX AVOIDANCE AND GET WITH THE REAL WORLD..!! Shocking 😡😡. Why is this place cash only, must lose out on custom

Seriously amazing. Ordered on line. Estimate for delivery was an hour. Food arrived within 15 minutes. Tasted amazing. Great food, seriously good service. My new go to takeaway.

We had a meal for one plus a couple of extras and had lots left over! The meal was tasty, hot and we had a huge bag of prawn crackers too which we didn’t get near! Their prawn toast is the best I have ever tasted and the hot ribs were delicious. Would definitely go back

Always a great service. Usually make telephone order for delivery. Always deliver within time specified. Great menu choice, especially great value are the wok box meals. Food is fresh and always arrives piping hot. Small delivery charge which is extremely reasonable.

Fantastic food we have had our takeaway Chinese many times now and have never had cause to complain. Either collection or home delivery the food is always good quality and piping Hot.

I have been using Ken Sing since moving to Desborough 4 years ago. Never Have I encountered a more honest value for money restaurant consistently using quality ingredients at more modest prices. Actually tonight my special fried rice had none of the wonderful succulent king prawns it normally comes with but even so it was delicious ( hey Ken - I'll pay extra for the prawns if necessary) Always a genuine satisfying catering experience. Thanks Ken Those who have left a poor review - well sorry your loss.

Why do I even have to give this dump 1 out of 5? I lick the hairs off my dog before ever eating out of here again. Ken Sings is the nadir of eating. Just don’t. Ever.

I was very happy with the food I purchased from Ken Sing. It was of a great quality and the price was on par with its competitors. The telephone staff member who took my order was friendly and kind, as was the woman who delivered my order. My only gripe was it took an hour and 30 minutes to arrive, when they said it would take an hour. However, the big bag of free prawn crackers have made up for this! I would give them a 5 out of 5 and would definitely use again!

Waited far to long for order that been placed via telephone , for collection still waiting hour in the shop.

Friendly service and lovely food

I tried this out on the basis of the reviews here but was underwhelmed. The food’s ok, but it’s nothing to write home about, a bit bland, and not that cheap, and the portions whilst fine aren’t massive. Maybe they were having on off night but I’m back to my usual standby even if it is a fair bit further to drive.

Best Chinese meals in the area. Waiting time good. Food good, service good. Parking outside. Takeaway only but seating area while you wait with tv.

Have ordered from Ken sing on many many occasions and they have always sent out amazing food. My husband loves their King Prawn salt and chilli peppers! Food is alway hot and plentiful. Highly recommend.

I enjoyed this food very much and shall be returning next time I desire a Chinese take away.Its very local to me so I can walk the dog and get the food .

Las dos últimas visitas a Ken cantar han sido decepcionantes. Pensamos que la primera vez fue un pero algo ha cambiado. Salsa de curry que coágulos enormemente incluso antes de servirlo, un dulce wok teriyaki fuerte terriblemente que nos recordó de sugar puffs y falta de sabor en el pollo chow mein.

El personal es muy acogedor y el servicio era simplemente rápido, preciso y absolutamente genial! ! ! Tienen una gran variedad de comida y muchos artículos en el menú, que puede tomar algo de tiempo para hacerlo. Pero creo que la calidad de la comida es muy buena. A diferencia de otros restaurantes chinos en la zona, no ponen un montón de azúcar (si quieres un montón de azúcar, podrá pedir, pero preparar las comidas de la mejor manera posible, creo). Limpieza del lugar es también era realmente impresionante. Así que mi valoración global es de 5 / 5 excelente!

Ken cantar. . China llevar. . La comida muy rapido. . Es siempre caliente. . El pato asado. Lonchas de pollo y huevo. arroz frito es muy bonito y es mi favorito. La carne cantonesa también es muy agradable. . Hay una buena selección en el menú.

I have been meaning for some time to post a review after using Ken Sing lots of times since moving to Rothwell. The food is just delicious, always hot and fresh. I particularly recommend the Salt and Pepper King Prawns and the Vermicelli Singapore Noodles, YUMMY!!

Food is always fresh and tasty. Quick delivery. They always say in 45 minutes but we get our food much quicker in about 20 to 30 minutes.

An excellent range of food alway cooked perfectly. Cant see quite what you want then they will always try and cook what takes your fancy. Service if efficient and always with a smile.

I don't live in Rothwell but always go to this takeaway and have done for years.Consistently good and tasty and I love being able to have the food delivered.

Ordered takeaway for home delivery... Timing of delivery was advised but one dish was almost cold... Another with batter was undercooked and thus a little doughy... Had better locally but on balance i've had a lot worse.

After using Ken Sing for years I think it deserves its own Trip Advisor section. This isn't a restaurant but couldn't set up one for a take away only. A great range of dishes, excellent service, polite staff. They alter the dishes to suit upon request. I would get take away from here all the time if my wife would only let me.
