Wongs Chinese in Kettering

Found out about this place on Google, they do amazing gluten free food and a special menu on what Is gluten free. Finding a Chinese that does GF Is so difficult but this place the food was amazing and I would definitely recommend! See you again!

Just didnt taste very good. Salt and pepper chips tasted just like normal oven chips with no flavour, chow mein tasted funny so didnt eat.

We absolutely loved our meal (family meal of 6 adults and 5 children) It was all hot and delicious. Zero complaints. The service was lovely, all of the staff were very friendly. Prices are brilliant for the quality.very happy and will be going again soon.

Wongs has been our favourite Chinese for over 20 years! Staff are always friendly both on the phone and when delivering at the door. My personal favourite dish being their lemon chicken but there are so many wonderful dishes to choose from. Would 100% recommend!!

I moved away from Kettering 12 years ago, and the first thing I ask for when I return for a night at my mums is a Wongs. The prawn dishes are just delicious, and nowhere else compares even though I now live in a huge city. Prices are very reasonable too!

The only Chinese takeaway I ever order from! Wongs has the biggest variety of options, all cooked to such a high standard. My personal favourite is the king prawns in black bean sauce. Nothing but amazing customer service when we call to place an order, cannot recommend Wongs enough!

I have always gone to wongs because they are amazing and always makes the food perfectly! However, I had never realised that you couldn’t pay with card. I had walked to the shop and unknownly brung my card. She apologised for the inconvenience and told me it was her fault and should have told me over the phone when I ordered even though it wasn’t her fault. I then walked back home and got some cash however I was 90p short, she told me that it didn’t matter and also gave me a bag of prawn crackers for the inconvenience even though I had only spent £5! It was all worth it though as the food was lush as always! Thank you Wongs! You are the most underrated Chinese of Kettering!

This is the best place in Kettering, in fact in the Country. Also the prawn crackers are to die for, so fresh and crisp. The staff are amazing, helpful and the most genuine people you will ever meet. Keep up the good work.!

Literally straight up THE BEST Chinese in the world. I’ve lived in a few different countries and very many different cities, I’ve never come close to finding a Wongs replacement, so I always come back, and I will always be a customer here!! Would give a 53893647583993 star review if possible!

I wouldn't recommend only went here because golden gate was closed. Ended up in the bin and got finedon pizza.

Hands down the WORST Chinese I’ve ever eaten. Flavourless & undercooked. The curry sauce looked as if it had mould floating on the top, the sweet and sour chicken and salt and pepper chicken (if that’s what it was) batter was uncooked and squidgy making it appear like squid. Couldn’t even feed it to the dog we’d have felt bad!! Will never be wasting my time or money ordering from here again and I’d advise you stay clear to. I never leave bad reviews but this was an absolute shambles and I couldn’t not warn others!!!

Just used this chinese for the first time.....rubbish. 1 item missed off even asking them to read back what I had ordered. Beef chow mein tasted boiled and not fried and awful, in fact everything was bland and really not worth the money. Portion sizes were smaller than any other Chinese we have ordered from. Said would be delivered within 40 minutes but was over an hour, not really bothered but not worth the wait. Better chinese restaurants about so won't bother with this one again.

Had a takeaway tonight 1st one in 5 years very disappointed no flavour bland and more oinion and carrots then meatwount be going back .

One of the very few places still open, the food was amazing we got lemon chicken and king po chicken and a few other dishes. All perfect. Placing a order was very easy parking very easy and to be honest I think it was very cheap. 10/10

Due to our usual Chinese currently being closed we chose Wong's due to location and good reviews. Chow mein was tasteless, chicken balls were very stodgy, sweet and sour sauce was like glue, we were very disappointed with the entire meal.

Having known the owners for a while now, you will realise what a delight they are once you are in there. Food cooked perfectly and staff always have a smile on their face. Best chinese in the area. Highly recommend

I was diagnosed gluten intolerant a few months back and have been craving chinese for weeks now, always jealous of my partner when he has it! So glad I found this place. I will admit it looked a bit questionable when I opened it but it tasted lovely! Although I can no longer remember what Chinese tastes like, this definitely fulfilled my craving! Customer service was what really topped it though... so kind and helpful on the phone and when I collected it she gave me a menu on which she had crossed out the dishes that they couldn’t do gluten free to make it easier next time. I have really struggled eating out since being diagnosed as some places are just rude and make you feel guilty for being intolerant to something! So this was a really refreshing experience 😊

Just ordered from here and I have to say I'm very disappointed prawn crackers were so stale they were unedabble the chow main was swimming in gravy the rice was stuck together and the chicken was either undercooked or burnt Really disappointed :-(

Have used Wongs for several years and have NEVER been disappointed by the staff, service or tastes. These are on re-dial :) :)

Ordered 2 x king prawn fried rice and spring rolls as a takeaway. The most anaemic looking fried rice I have ever seen. It was still white. I know you have to steam rice before you fry but this rice had never seen any oil in a wok. The king prawns were not fried at all. They were steamed or boiled and were pale and tasteless. For colour there was a few what appeared to be tinned peas. The Male was bland and tasteless.. the spring rolls were awful. Bland and tasteless. There was some sliced carrot in it and some other sliced vegetable but I dont know what it was but it wasnt bean shoots. Probably turnip. The thing was soggy and not crispy at all. I should have taken it back and got my £13.40 back. The complimentary prawn crackers were just as awful. My wife and I couldn't eat it. I put it out for the birds I hope it doesn't kill them. Never again. By far the worst Chinese takeaway I have ever had. King prawn fried rice that has never seen a wok or oil. Boiled plain rice and pale pasty prawns with any flavour boiled out of them . Avoid this place unless you want to be extremely disappointed.

Was diagnosed as Coaliacs in Sept 2018 and daren’t even think about Chinese takeaway. This last month I thought - why by google it - and Wong’s came up. Amazing choice of GF and so tasty. But most of all, the lady who works there is one of the most helpful members of staff I have ever known, which for a coeliac, is really comforting! Exceptional customer service!

This was our first time ordering a takeaway from Wongs and unfortunately it will be our last. Although the food was piping hot it was tasteless and terribly greasy. I wouldn’t recommend eating here.

This is a great Chinese takeaway. I have been coming here for decades, even after moving 25 minutes away I go out of my way to collect from here because its simply better than all the alternatives. My family are all big fans of Indian and Chinese food, we have eaten a great range of it from many places both in and outside the UK. Wongs has always remained in my top choices for great food, with strong flavours and always well cooked. Don't compromise, come here.

I’ve had it with this place!!!! The food is generally very good, but again and again and again they deliver their food in pathetic containers that leak everywhere and end up with a sloppy mess all over the place. For crying out loud can you not use some modern containers instead of the pathetic ones that aren’t fit for purpose??? And if you must use those containers can you maybe give your chef a slotted spoon so I don’t end up with half a container of liquid that ends up all over my kitchen!!!! Fed up clearing up more mess than I would if I’d cooked myself 😡

Usually really good food but they got my order wrong and ended up disappointed with what i got as I didn't like it

This has to be one of the worst take always I've ever had. Firstly the food was cold even though only a 5 min drive away. Secondly ordered Spicy Shredded Beef when it arrived can honestly say have no idea what it was Could have been chicken, pork or maybe even beef at a push in a nasty sweet and sour sauce. After calling them to say it was a mistake was informed that this is what shredded beef was and the other Chinese restaurants had it wrong. Guess that told me. Toast it is.

Found this Chinese takeaway by chance and found they can do gluten free foods. The staff were very helpful and told me which meals could be changed into gluten free. The food was delicious. It's ages since I've been able to buy a Chinese takeaway as most use wheat flour. I can highly recommend this place. Will be going back for another takeaway tomorrow night so I can try different dishes.

Great place for take away food. Good value. Good service. Serves some english but mainly chinese food. Never a long wait. Will cater for just about anything you want. Always has too much to eat. Can also habe it delivered.

I’ve used Wongs for many years and can honestly say I’ve never been disappointed.

We have used this on a number of occasions and it has never failed to please. Great food and friendly service. They also deliver in the local area. They also offer a gluton free option which is great if you have a daughter like mine who is gluton intolerant.

Just moved to the area. Often can't have Chinese take away because I am gluten free and therefore a challenge to cater for. At Wong's, they were very helpful and able to point out which meals I could eat, and even explained how they could adapt some of their other meals for me. The lady on the front desk was incredibly knowledgeable about their ingredients and meals, and was wonderfully helpful. Even better, they had a huge selection that I could eat (whereas I am usually restricted to a single choice, if any). Finally, the meal was tasty and didn't have that weird smell/taste that some Chinese take-away meals have — brilliant all round and we will definitely be revisiting. They've got themselves some new regular customers.

I've been using this place since I moved back to Burton 3 years ago. When I order to the house they always tell me how long it will take and if it's busy they make sure I know before I make the order. Collection is always very good service too and the woman who takes all the orders is very very polite and friendly. I've tried so many different items and couldn't recommend them enough. My wife enjoys their drunken chicken and I myself like their chow mein dishes.

Well what can I say once every couple of months I get a Chinese from wongs! And it's the best Chinese ever!! Reasonable prices and food always delivered hot. Delivery driver is lovely and friendly! Thank you one very full family now from a lovely takeaway

Ok for egg fried rice and chicken balls but main food options in general are really poor, keep trying and hoping for improvement but consistently let down so will go elsewhere.

Been using Wongs now for many many years. I have NEVER been let down. Staff are friendly. Shop is clean. Great value. Last night we had, chilli salt baked king prawns and boiled rice and sweet n sour king prawns and shrimp noodles. Free prawn crackers. Both were absolutely divine. Had so much we both had lunch from them today. Delivery was about 40mins. Advised 45mins. Will continue using Wongs :)

I recently ordered a takeaway from Wongs in Burton Latimer. Customer service was very good and delivery was pretty quick. The singapore chow mien was pretty tasty and a decent portion. Also, the chicken curry was pretty good. No free prawn crackers though....Would use again!
