First time ordering here, and oh my goodness the food is amazing! We have definitely found our new regular takeaway place!

I am very happy with this takeaway. I only had one issue but once I spoke to the staff it was resolved. They work so hard and yet the quality of food is excellent.

Food is always great and on-time . And would also like to say a massive thank you to the delivery lady that's been twice this week very polite and friendly . Thank you

In the picturesque town of Desborough, our visit to some friends prompted a choice for a Chinese meal from the local takeaway. We ordered food in advance for a large family gathering. The staff were very helpful and the food arrived hot and on time. A special touch was a small bottle of wine with a happy birthday message. Everyone commented on the quality of the food. Thank you.

We always get our Chiense from here but on Sunday we tried to bite in a chicken ball and we couldn’t cut it on closer inspection we found out it was tissue rolled up phoned to complain and the lady was very rude

Hot, tasty and well cooked Chinese takeaway. Amazing value for money and service was friendly and very efficient. Unfortunately i don’t live locally but if I did this would be a regular stop for me.

We shared sweet and sour chicken balls tonight my wife had the sweet and sour sauce I had curry sauce with chips the chips were the worse we’ve had from there and the balls we’re just as bad looked like they had been reheated

Quite disappointed by the takeaway quality: the mixed starter was greasy and difficult to taste the fillings. The duck was very dry and the other main was in an overly sweet sauce.

I won’t be ordering again. I tired the chicken ball and sadly they were the worst I’ve ever eating. The batter wasn’t even cooked and completely doughy inside. Only thing I had was the rice. Very disappointed after paying £15 for a meal 🙄

I have used this Chinese restaurant for years, never had any concerns or problems! I even moved from Desborough to Rothwell, even though Rothwell has two/three Chinese takeaways, I still order from this one. I’ve ordered by phone and by their online order system. Guaranteed great food, great customer service, and a great takeaway - always!

Great food and the service is spot on.

Really disappointed. Food arrived with in 20 mins which I can’t fault, however considering dragon city is no further then 3 mins away my food was freezing. The beef chow mien if you can call it beef was grey but pink on the middle, the salt and chilly chips tasted and felt as if they had been left on the side to go cold for a few hours then re heated in the microwave. The shredded beef in teriyaki had no beef it was just deep fried nothing and the chicken was so touch it was like I was eating pure rubber . I can honestly say I would never order from here and it’s not cheap!

First time using Dragon City last night as I am not familiar with this area. Phone order taken efficiently, delivered by lovely friendly driver within time stated. Cash on delivery. Excellent quality food. I would highly recommend.

had the usual meal for one . beef still in slices with the odd attempt at being sliced , chicken balls hot with soggy batter , bland and tasteless, seems like the ken sing influence has come through , will not be useing again ,

Ordered yesterday evening. About 6pm. When the food hadn't arrived by 7pm I called. Only to be told the waiting time for delivery was 2.5 hours. HELLO!!!. Takeaway food is supposed to be fast food. No offer of a refund. We will get you the delivery as soon as but it might be 8.15pm. In fairness the food was good when it arrived. But I will be looking elsewhere going forward

Website not working..... so phoned to place telephone order ar start of call was told card accepted over the phone. Continued with order and at end of call found out card was not accepted... Spoken to extremely rude by the calm handler.. normally good service but this was absolutely abismal.

Three and a half years I've lived away from the takeaway heaven that was uphill Lincoln and not until now have I found a fantastic Chinese takeaway delivery service that you can order online. These guys have their own website, which they clearly monitor well. Pre-ordered at 4:50, promised for 5:30, food arrived at 5:25 with a grin and four incredible chicken curries (with freebie crackers) for £25, all inclusive of the £1.20 delivery and 50p service charge. When you've been sitting in isolation for a month by yourself eating your own cooking and the occasional reliable yet Chinese food lacking JustEat, it feels like a hell of a find! Thanks Dragon City, will be heading back again. Keep up the good work :). Kevin

I have tried several dishes from Dragon City. Some of my favourites are Sweet and Sour Pork Hong Kong Style, Special Satay and Young Chow Fried Rice oh and of course the Pancake Roll with Beansprouts which I always must order. The food is consistently good and my partner says the Sirloin Steak in Black Pepper Sauce is delicious. In response to an earlier review...The Special Fried Chow Mein has CRISPY DEEP FRIED noodles instead of the normal soft ones. So the reviewer may want to try them again but order something different. :)

Very good Chinese take away, be warned massive portions The special fried rice was a meal in itself all the food was cooked to order so if you do not pre order the wait seemed to be about 15 minutes but certainly worth waiting for.

Wherever I've been haven't beaten the quality served here. Parking can be a problem but delivery is an option and worth the wait

We recently ordered a meal for two with a portion of chips and it would have easily fed 4 people... Wonderful food and great value for money, delivery service was 5 mins faster than predicted the food was piping hot... Well worth a try of you're not already aware of just how good Dragon City is...

Whatever people say about this place it keeps dishing out consistent high quality food under extreme pressure as it is always bursting with take away orders from some not so friendly locals!!! Anyway always smiling to me and food is always amazing nothing gets left for the badgers!!! LOL

I don't normally post or complain however this has really annoyed me being spoken to in such a manner. Had food from here a few nights ago which was great. However when I called for a delivery the woman on the phone was extremely rude. She was quick to cut me off and was very unhelpful all because I was calling from kettering to ask about a delievery. How am I to know they don't deliver here.

Just great food, great service and never ever let you down. When you need a top class takeaway Chinese, look no further.

Been to takeaway tonight and spent 20 quid and received no prawn crackers...was harassed at the counter and forgot to order my rice.

Good takeaway! Just watch the delivery driver if you have a home delivery, he tends to short change you!!! He's done it to me twice now and hot footed off to his car before I had chance to say! Tonight however I confronted him and said woah hang on you've short changed me! ( it might only be a couple of quid) but if he's doing that to every house he's delivering to he's getting away with quite a bit. I've reported it to the owners of dragon city! But just be careful check your change. I don't mind tipping but I don't expect someone to fleece me in my own door step!!

The feedback is for service not the food. Ordered by phone, been said that it will take 1/2 hour to be ready when actually took 1 hour. The Chinese food was for my partner and the pizza that I've ordered at the same time from different place, did get cold. At the end of all this they did not even bother to apologise, considering that people that order thyer food after me did get it before me.

Had a take-away meal for 1 plus extras as it was for 2 of us.Never really liked the food from here particularly the sweet & sour sauce never tastes right to me.Spring rolls were tiny with hardly any filling.Shan't bother again.

We dont have a takeaway very often and we both had beef curry Good point first Big portions, Chips was Fresh BAD POINT the meat in both are meals was how can i put nicely i think they found this in the drain very poor quality with artery sticking out i could not cut mine as it was very elastic i have seen better meat in a can of dog food the meat looked like it had been chewed before and spat out , This has really put me off and we will not be purchasing from here in the future

Regularly get takeaway from here however last twice I've had the main dish has been very poor quality in that once was burnt and then next time was cold and the sauce had a bland taste

Busy bank holiday weekend. The chow mein tasted like it was a week old and not fresh. Shame as normally always good from this place. May try up the road next time?

Forget the negative comments about some one serving as the lovely lady front of house is always very polite but always flat out busy as this place is so popular busy for one reason only, that would be the fantastic food they smash out for you at lightning speed. Never had a bad dish yet so well done and you know I will be back with the Dragon City faithful. Trouble is once you start eating you can't stop until the plate is cleared and you are at the bottom of the prawn crackers bag. Lol love it all.

We use this takeaway lots and the food is great, we used tonight and the service was awful rude staff. I would collect orders if you are in a hurry.

I used to go here regularly but since they hired this new man to serve customers I wont go any more. Its such a shame but he is rude and ruins my experience. Good service is priceless. Food is reasonable and delivery services is quit good.

having used dragon city for many years and used to think it was the best local chinese around , but seems to be on a down hill spiral over the last few months with the quality of the food and the final straw was when we had to wait 2 hrs for delivery because they had forgotten our order

We had friends over this evening and decided to get a Chinese! We have had Chinese food from most of the restaurants around this area and dragon city have The Best food! Ordered by phone for collection (takes a while to get through and you have to try quite a few times as the only have one phone line, which can be frustrating). Ordering is easy, ready in super quick time (Wednesday night). Collection for all the food within 10minutes. Food was great! Very happy! Great meal. Careful though, they do not take card (again, frustrating - cash only!) All in all though, very happy! Thanks!

Lovely Chinese loverly people I've used this Chinese takeaway for ten yrs my mum and dad also used to be regulars when they were based in Rothwell but they've since moved away and miss this place as there new local Chinese doesn't come close I'd recommend this place to anyone with confidence they would enjoy it

The prawn toast is honestly the best Ive ever had and everything else is pretty good too. Never had a bad meal + I am a regular customer.

My wife and I ordered a take away and it was not great. We collected from the shop at the time told but that was the last good part.The prawn toast was disgusting and left us feeling sick. The rice was hard and dry and not good.

Second time and consistent fine fast food is the order of the day. Any large order 10 mins even on a Saturday! The proof is what is left and trust me nothing gets left as everything is cooked to perfection and tastes as if you were in the fast East.Don't live in Desborough but well worth the extra journey time Service with a smile which is always a bonus. Well done be back when I have worked this load off!!

We used to use this place all the time but since they employed this man that works there i hate going there.... if your lucky enough to be served by the lady its ok but he is the most rudest person i have ever met and i will not be using agai them again unless he is fired!

I have just had the worst Chinese Takeaway ever. I ordered Special Chow Mein the "noodles" were dry and hard it was obvious they had been left on a surface that was too hot after they were cooked.The other two meals ordered were OK.

We always choose Dragon City if we order a Chinese despite it being in a different town, great dishes, great service (unless very busy and then waiting times are approx an hour) always hot and friendly delivery drivers.

I'm only reviewing this because I can't believe no one already had. It's our local Chinese, definitely the best in town. Service is great and food is really quite good. It's walking distance for me so really what's not to like. Once you are a regular they know what you want before you do!!

You need to ring early to book a collection or delivery slot as this establishment is so popular and recommended!!
