A Taste of India in Kettering

Myself and my husband had a beautiful mea this evening for our wedding anniversary . The food was amazing fresh tasty and lots of it. the best Indian food we had in along time highly recommend . The staff were very helpful and friendly to . Even got to bring home what we couldn't finish . Sunday 29th December 2024.

Eat in or take away, I have never been disappointed by the food or customer service, and I eat here REGULARLY!

I've been going to the Taste of India for many years. I've been having curries with a variety of spice levels during my recent visits and along with rice, naans and vegetable sides the food has always been excellent and cooked to perfection. And what makes the Taste of India extra special are the staff. I often dine solo and they really look after me. I can highly recommend.

Totally outstanding place I've ever visited.

The flavours of the food were fabulous and the staff very attentive! I could not fault the food or service! Also the restaurant had a great cosy feel to it.

We visited Taste of India in Kettering for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The restaurant serves truly authentic Indian cuisine that is rich in flavor and beautifully presented. The space is lovely, with a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The staff were attentive and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed without rushing us. It was clear they wanted us to take our time and enjoy the evening to the fullest. If you’re looking for fantastic food, great service, and a relaxed dining experience, I’d definitely recommend Taste of India. It’s a gem in Kettering, and we’ll certainly be back!

Booked a table here last weekend and then had to cancel it and get the food as a takeaway instead, unfortunately one of us was too unwell to cope with eating out. I felt bad about messing the restaurant about, but they were great about it. The food was great and the staff were lovely

We was up from south Wales, and decided to go to the Tast of India because it looked a lovely clean place, when we went it we had a lovely warm welcome, the staff had a service with a smile each and everyone of the staff, food was outstanding quality, the best Indian food we have ever tasted and we have been to a tremendous amount of Indian restaurants but this place is 💯 top quality, prices are reasonable, cleanliness was superb, liked talking to the staff, very polite staff even holding the door open for us when leaving, very, very happy about the taste of India restaurant we very, very strongly recommend this restaurant, look forward to coming bk very soon, and thank you very much

Well after Eating at Raj , The Bengal & Kushboo this I think my own opinion and my Partners beat them All so Well Done to Staff and Chef we expected out Meal to cost around 80.00 plus and it came to a Surprising 60.50 we didn't go mad 5x Poppodom 2 Starters 2 Rice only 1 Curry and Keema Naan 2 Alcoholic Drinks Very Good Value didn't come out Stuffed but loved everything we had Thank you Guys will definitely be back with Friends and Family will defo Recommend highly!!!!!!!

Staying nearby we were recommended here for an Indian Takeaway. It was extremely good and jokingly questioned if we could drive and hour from our house to get our next Takeaway!

We have always used this restaurant eat in and takeaway never had a problem We ordered takeaway it was very poor missed some of the order off. Ordered tandoori king pawn main but only got 4 prawns and loads of onions paid £12.95 🤬 the nans were on the small size. The tandoori roti was very dry all the food was cold . Will not be using the restaurant again.

Very nice Indian restaurant with friendly staff and a nice vibe. The food was lovely, really tasty and full of flavour. Loved my boiled egg and it went well with the green chillis and my onion rice. A little slow service but it was busy there so to be expected. Will definitely return next time I'm in the area !

Spent Christmas lunch here and it was absolutely amazing. Already talking about booking again for next Christmas. Staff were extremely friendly, food was absolutely amazing. One of the best Christmas lunches we have had.

The best Indian restaurant in the area defo worth a visit

We are local and enjoy visits to this restaurant, but the prices have now increased ridiculously and simply not worth it. Our bill was just short of £100, which seemed too high, so we questioned. The waiter came over and billed us individually, but when we had left the testaurant, we realised they had taken £4 worth of tips without even asking us. Such a shame to see a good restaurant go down hill. The food was good, but that's about it really.

Early slot. Restaurant filled up quickly. Waiting staff struggled to remember drinks orders having to be reminded a couple of times and one drink not arriving at all. Food very good and tasty. Quite a crowded space with about 45 covers. Current hygiene rating (November 2023): 5. Well be back!

This Indian restaurant, specializing in takeaways, delivers amazing food with quick and efficient service. The staff is notably helpful, and the peshwari naan stands out as the best I've had. While the setting is small and can get busy, the overall experience is worth it. Undoubtedly the best Indian in the area for both flavor and service.

The food was excellent but service was not great 😔 and we got asked to leave after an hour and half so they could seat another large group. Was not told our table was on a time limit. We felt we had been rushed out as we normally have after meal drinks etc but the bill was given us when we asked for coffee. Complained to manager but he did not seem to be bothered

It was our first time,on the 13/02/2023 about 20 of us. Food was delicious service was excellent, I was surprise how quick food was delivered, we all enjoyed our evening. It was really tasty ! We left the Restaurant very Happy !

Just been for Christmas day dinner, best one we have had on years!! Why have turkey when you can have a Chicken Chaat and Naan Bread!!! Frequently here on deal night as are many of our neighbours!!! Best Indian in the area by far!!

Great team, top curries and service

Just wanted to say how pleased we are with the food and service we have had over the years at the Taste Of India in Rothwell either takeaway or eat in at the restaurant it’s always excellent food. The staff are always friendly and nothing is too much to ask for. We especially like the takeaway as if you make a last minute decision in the evening and fancy treating yourself to a takeaway it’s ready in under half an hour if collecting. The food is always spot on either collecting or having it delivered. I would highly recommend you trying the Taste Of India if you haven’t tried them before. You will not know what you have been missing unless you do. Regards Peter

My wife & i stayed at The Church Farm Lodge in Harrington who recommended The Taste Of India , to be honest this is the best Indian food we have had , everything just perfect, all the staff so pleasant, one nice fellow called Sarge is a absolute credit, i would highly recommend you go to this place if your ever near by

We visited on a Wednesday and had the set price Banquet which was good value for starter, main, sides and rice/naan. The food was extremely good, and the service likewise. The restaurant was full by 8pm which shows how popular it is, and the way in which the waiters interacted with customers made it clear that people go here regularly. Lovely experience and will return!

So we were passing through and needed food, being someone who lives a good meal I asked around and looked online there was so much choice, we found taste of India and the reviews looked good, this doesn’t always mean it’s the best but decided to give it a go, the place is beautiful inside the plates were really cool it was super clean it just felt like a nice place, then the staff came over they were super friendly helped my fussy old man find a curry that was spicy but not too much heat one he never had before. Naan breads were great especially the keema nan, the onion bhajis were not only amazing but huge 👌🏼 As always I went for a jalfrezi and we were not disappointed, I have had many curry’s this was phenomenal, all dishes were to a very good standard none were cold all were super tasty and really filling, we couldn’t eat it all, I highly recommend this place and I would easily say it was the best Indian I have had. If you get a chance give it a go

Best indian by far i’ve ever had for a long mile, i’ve had indians all over the country from over 200 different places and this one is easily by far the best one. One of the chefs they have working there makes the best currys i’ve ever tastes
