This is an excellent find. The welcome was very warm and inviting. The earl grey tea was amazing and cakes to die for. We will definitely be back more often.

Always a good bet for sensational food, I'd not breakfasted here before and it didn't disappoint, superb presentation, excellent service and good value, not only is the food second to non in this sector but it's a lovely place to visit, as I'm local (3 miles away) I've never stayed overnight, so I cannot vouch for the hotel side of things, however, if they do things half as well as the restaurant it will be excellent!

After a two hour wait - the food was cool and nothing special. We ordered as we had a leaflet through the door. Certainly wouldn’t order again

I’d like to thank the staff at the Lancaster arms that went above and beyond for my partners 40th birthday meal today. We hired out the private cabinet room for 11 of us, where Sharon & Grace looked after us for our duration of our meal. The Sunday roast was exceptional, Beautiful crispy fluffy roast potatoes and delicious gravy. The lovely staff all came in and sang Happy birthday to my partner with a lovely personalised birthday dessert board which was a lovely touch. This place is like home. The warmth, the food & the staff. Well done & thank you. Xx

Had lunch for four on 23rd December 2024. Most beers were sold out. Two of the four main courses we selected were sold out and we chose alternates. Waited almost an hour for our meals to arrive, even though (I think) we were the only diners at that time. The staff apologised and said it was because of Xmas preparations. Two of the four meals were tepid, almost cold. Awful experience.

Tomamos un lugar encantador y nos sentamos fuera para el brunch, servicio rápido eficiente y amable. La comida era caliente y sabrosa y a un precio razonable. No tenía prisa y el brunch era civilizado y vale la pena la visita. Carta variada y moderna y fresca.

Visited last night for a pre Christmas meal with friends. I have to say the food was superb. Reading other reviews it appears that this place has been hit with several problems recently. Last night the previous owner was waiting on tables as staff were off ill. It was very quiet unfortunately which obviously had a bearing on the atmosphere. Don’t let past events and bad reviews put you off as I believe this place under normal circumstances is a hidden gem.

Got a cod and chips. Portion size is good, would be worth it if it tasted any good. Batter was soggy and mushy. Fish weren't that fresh, it was quite chewy Chips were decent..wish i just got the chips and dint fork out for the fish..oh well live and learn.

Just great for a stop off after a stroll round the lakes.

Came here at lunch time last Friday with our walking group, Cosby Friday Walkers. We only wanted coffees and drinks but they made us very welcome as usual. Good coffee with a smile. Thank you.
