Good service excellent Sunday lunch...!!

My friend and I visited after being tempted by the menu for weeks and we had a wonderful experience. The menu was varied but not too overwhelming as sometimes restaurants can have too many choices! We loved the wide selection of burgers, pizzas, loaded fries and small plates too. I ordered ‘The New Yorker’ burger and my friend ordered ‘The Fajita’ burger. The burgers arrived and we were absolutely delighted with the portion size, presentation and selection of food. Admiring the skin-on fries and crispy onion rings, we dug in and adored the flavours of the burgers. They were second to none. I felt that I could taste the quality of the food, which was a real positive. Importantly, the service was also brilliant. Michael was lovely, welcoming and attentive. After we ate, we chatted for a while and enjoyed the atmosphere of the pub! Overall, we had a really positive experience and we will 100% return! Thank you all!

Visited today and ordered food. Was told that they didn't serve food in top garden. Explained that we had a disabled woman with us who couldn't get closer due to all the tables being filled by other customers. Was then served, payment taken, and cutlery brought to table. 10 mins passed and was then informed again that they wouldn't be serving us unless we moved. When we pointed out that there were no other available tables, we were told that they would MOVE THEM. Also, our disabled friend, would struggle to sit in the area they wanted us to sit. Asked why we couldn't sit where we were and were informed that plates weren't allowed in that area.....but our glasses were?!?!? We asked for a refund due to our disabled friend not being able to sit where they wanted us to. Poor service and discrimination!!!!

Pizza and a pint. Nice little beer garden. Not a bad pizza, base was a little tough but otherwise very good.

Always had a good service here, dog friendly. The pub dog comes and sits next to you :)

Incredibly loud on a Saturday night, which I wouldn't mention, however noise levels on one hearing app hit 90 dB for a portion of our time there(the same level as a concert). Therefore, if you have a hearing impairment, I would recommend trying a week day if you're desperate to dip into a Desford pub. Food was nice.

Walked into the property They looked at me, like I had two heads sat down I ordered a pint and they kept getting my order wrong by the 2nd pint I found a hair my drink would not recommend, not friendly and feels very hostile

We had Sunday lunch - recommend that you book as it was very busy - food was tasty, quick service, reasonably priced.

Been there for Sunday lunch only when I got home realized they had overcharged me so be careful 2 coarses £20 ok

This is a spit and sawdust pub which was fine for us but the customers were swearing so we moved to another room as we had our 17 month old with us, but the problem we had then was the staff throwing the glass bottles into the recycling which made an awful noise every 5 minutes which upset and scared our little one, that with the noisy cars racing by we had a rubbish experience. I also got ignored by 3 members of staff behind the bar when i went up to ask for kids cutlery as we hadn't been given any with the kids meal. Food was nice but service and environment was not good would not recommend.

We came here for drinks and Sunday lunch. Such a lovely pub with great food and a good drinks selection. Highly recommend the Sunday roast.

We affectionately know this as George's pub due to the friendly welcome from the pub pooch! :) A good village local. Normally stop by for a bite to eat and the food is always fabulous. Regular features Everard's Tiger and Beacon on cask alongside a guest beer - all 3 are highly recommended :)

Just had my first Sunday roast here, have had other meals all good, in the past, but Sunday roast was very nice, top quality meats and veg thank you..

Went here with my partner who was singing live at an event. it's a really nice place and good food too. Highly recommended.

Just love this little pub. It has such a chilled vibe inside and is child friendly. The staff are super lovely, the dog George is a beauty and most importantly the pizzas are bloody delicious!! Love love love the Diavollo which is my fav! Started coming here often because of the food. It’s piping hot, tasty and good portion sizes/varied menu! Thanks for a fab service.

The food was good and the staff are really friendly and helpful, we had a lovely evening. Our waitress, Sophie, was great....so was the other waitress, but I didn't get her name. Can recommend the sundaes!

We had Sunday lunch here. The restaurant does not seem to be a priority and we had to wait long periods to be served and to pay the bill. That said, the food was excellent and plentiful. The side of cauliflower cheese actually had some cheese in it. If they put a bell on the bar to get attention of the staff this would have been a 5 star review.

Brilliant burger, so moist. OK its a burger but amazing and also on the 2 for £20 menu.

Pint of tiger was sour. Response was "well the barrel isn't finished yet so there's only Beacon as an alternative".

Health & Hygiene issue. Non dining area - went in one early evening time for a lovely pint of one of their great beers.... Then, it's very busy with a lot of people in very close proximity - no ventilation - very hot in there and guess what ? Have we learnt nothing from the all too recent pandemic ? Excellent environment for transmissible "anything".

Great Sunday lunch, warm plates and all the food was hot, big improvement over the last time we dined there, sweet availability was limited, will certainly return soon.

We didn't have any food but the atmosphere was good and the beer very good. Any food we saw looked tempting.

Been coming to this establishment for years & years.. but "wow".. something has changed everything was good before.. now everything unbelievably special...food ..service..staff..ombience..decor..lets use every metaphor available...simply fantastic..brilliant...we will be returning on a regular basis without question..

Food is spot on and takeaways have always been good

6 of us booked for Sunday Lunch, it was delicious, only one tiny hiccup, not enough veg, but as soon as we pointed it out another bowl was swiftly brought, best roast in the area and the value for money is much better than the other pub in the area.

Went for breakfast, which is served until 2pm. It was absolutely delicious! Plenty of options and there really is something for everyone. My partner had eggs benedict and it was presented beautifully, poached eggs were a little firmer than he would have wanted but then again they were sat for 5 mins before being cut open. The hollandaise was spot on and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I had a full english with homemade sausages, bacon, scrambled eggs, Portobello mushroom and beans. It was everything I needed. Great start to the day. Portions were perfect too, full English has 2 of everything and the grande 3. Kids options available, pancakes, waffles... Porridge. Top place for breakfast in the area.

If half of your menu is hot dogs and they are out of stock, you really should let your staff know when taking orders, or be more prepared. I was told it was due to the scarecrow festival over the weekend, we visited Wednesday, so you had plenty of time to order them in. My 5 year old was so disappointed as she was really looking forward to a hot dog. Would of got a 5 as the food is good.

Went for a catch up and early birthday meal with the sister in law. Not been here for a while and not disappointed. The meal was very nice staff very friendly and the make over of the place was very impressive. Look forward to visit again very soon 👍

Desford is a nice village I lived there for 5 years and the pub is grate the staff are lovely and the pub garden is good too I especially like the huts they have put in grate shade in the summer and a good place to keep you dry if you like the fresh air

I've been here twice now and it seems to coincide with the visit of all the characters that you would see in a school playground,.mostly those you didn't like. Unwelcoming unless you're part of the crowd. Surprising as the village is full of lovely people. The Lancaster Arms is the place to be.

Really enjoyed our visit, reviewing the restaurant not the rooms. Plenty of parking, staff were very sweet and chatty and the food was reasonably price. Hand cut real chips and large piece of fish. It's casual dining compared to the previous owners but feels warm inside and I love that you can take dogs inside too. We will be back :)

Today was our first visit as a family to this lovely and welcoming pub. It was busy but still operated very smoothly. Staff were a credit to the pub, everybody was very polite and helpful. I think the owners of the pub were also dining close by and they ensured all our dining needs were met and they had kind words to say about our one year old son who also enjoyed the food. You could really tell this was a family friendly pub with great food all fresh and perfect. Such a lovely meal despite not being from this side of town we will definitely be visiting again, thank you for a fantastic experience.

If you want a quiet evening drink, look elsewhere. It's full of loud people, many of whom let their children run around unsupervised, so you may end up being a proxy childminder for the parents who are busy with other priorities!

Although we live local I had not been in the Bluebell for a long time and this was the first meal out since the covid pandemic. After we checked in we were shown to our table....we were served promptly by the staff and the food arrived quickly. The meal was lovely staff were very attentive. Surroundings were clean and 'rustic '. I will definitely return.

Not my kind of place. Expensive and not a lot of variety of food listed on menus of a Sunday meal. Again with is expensive.

Tiger beer consistently not of comparable quality to other everards pubs. Not fresh.

My family have just experienced the takeaway roast meals and can thoroughly recommend, arrived on time, hot, and plentiful, great value for money will definitely do again, you don't know what you are missing, try them, between us we had the beef and the pork, the gravy was delicious too. Stayed at the hotel for 1 night. Staff were lovely and the room was fine. Had a great pizza and the beer was good (lots of choice of beers too). My only issue was that the internet connection is too weak to allow you to connect from your room (I stayed in the corner room). You guys need to fit an booster ✔️. Other that that, really enjoyed my stay.
