Waited for over an hour to be fed poor organisation waited 30 minutes for a cup of tea. The food when it arrived was ok.The cafe was not full and it was hard to understand why service took so long.

We came first time in Oct 23 for an afternoon tea which was so good, but we missed out on the Halloween Harry Potter afternoon tea which was on at the time. We came here again in Aug 24 after our honeymoon trip for a breakfast and we love this little coffee shop and would love to come here more in the future

What an absolutely lovely find. You can't see from the front of the building but there's a super little garden at the back for a bit of sunshine (with huge umbrellas if you want them for some shade). The indoor decor is lovely using lots of recycled bricks and wood in the refurbishment. ...and as for the food!! We only went for cakes and the majority are made on site - the Bakewell blondi with white chocolate was a dream. A super friendly team too. Will definitely be returning!

Liberteas is in the heart of a small village, but provided a "big heart" welcome and an excellent lunch. We were looking for somewhere to meet with family, and TA led me to Newbold Verdon. The staff were warm, down to earth, thoughtful and professional, providing that wonderful kind of attentive service which is entirely without ego. The tea shop is carefully appointed and not overcrowded with tables. Initially, we only had coffees and cakes, but Liberteas is so welcoming, we switched lunch plans to there too. Good coffee, choice of tea - served in a teapot and home made cakes led on later to toasted paninis, cheesy crumpets, jacket potatoes and treacle sponge with custard - all of which delighted those eating them. All of us would thoroughly recommend!

We were staying in Dessford and looked for somewhere nearby that was dog friendly to have breakfast. No dedicated parking, but easy to get parked on the Main Street outside. We hadn’t booked, but we’re lucky to get a table as we were there early. We ordered breakfasts and cappuccinos. The coffees were amazing with minted grated chocolate on top - we had 2 each! The cakes all looked home made, having eaten delicious breakfasts, we couldn’t manage cakes as well, but we got a couple to take away. The staff were lovely and professional, the loos spotless (always a good indicator in my view) and if we were in the area again, we would definitely return (booking in advance to avoid disappointment). We didn’t actually eat the cakes until 2 days later and they were still moist and delicious! Worth every penny definitely.

Wonderful Lunch visit to this lovely tea shop. Dog friendly too! We had the soup of the day (tomato and basil) with a warm cheese scone, and a lovely baked spud with loads of prawn mayo on top. Both dishes were amazing on a cold day and really Good value. And then a great selection of home baked cakes and special coffees too - can definitely recommend the millionaires cappuccino for those with a sweet tooth! Thanks to Tracey and Rich for their warm hospitality- we will be back soon!

Visited today for coffee and cake and ended up staying for lunch too! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left (3 and a half hours later!), the staff were friendly, efficient and obliging. The food was tasty and the portions were generous...we can highly recommend the leek and potato soup, the cheese scones and the nicest lemon drizzle cake ever! It was an ideal place for two friends to catch up with each other after 40+ years. Thank you, Liberteas...we will be back!
