Great food and service here- I had the sausage and mash but when my mum got the steak- it was slightly undercooked so I wouldn't recommend that... But of course the desert was FAB!!!!!! The texture of them all were great and I love the selection! The atmosphere is average because of the car park- otherwise, great!!

Excellent Sunday carvery and very friendly staff. I would rate the carvery as one of the best.

We have dined here many times and it never fails to disappoint. The lunch menu was delicious and reasonably priced and the staff were all very friendly and attentive.

First time we've visited here for a long time on a Sunday as we found the Pig & Muck some years ago, where the Carvery was outstanding. Unfortunately, that's now changed hands and a Carvery is no longer offered, so we tried The Crown again. The Pros: Staff were all lovely, really friendly and very attentive. We've always liked the interior of this Pub and it had been refreshed since our last visit, many years ago. Cons: Welcome at the actual Carvey was "what do you want mate"! What can I get for you, without the mate, would seem more appropriate. First dissapointing thing food wise, was only a choice of 3 meats. Perhaps we were spoilt at The Pig & Muck, as there was always beef, pork, pork belly, lamb, gammon and turkey on a Sunday. The meat we had at The Crown though was good. Frozen Yorkshire Puddings were also dissapointing. Most establishments serving a great Sunday Lunch pride themselves on homemade Yorkshire. The Cauliflower and Brocoli Cheese was just awful. The sauce was as runny as water. It seems the staff are the biggest asset here, as the Carvery was not good enough to return. I know the long established Chef left a few months ago, so maybe this is problem.

Fabulous food (we all had cakes) and hot drinks on a cold Sunday. All the people we chatted with were delightful and the quirky shop is fantastic! We found it by chance but it will be a stop off destination very soon

Visited here as it was highly recommended on TripAdvisor so thought I’d give it a go. We had the breakfast bap and ciabatta. Food wise it was really nice but not sure if it was a local supplier as there is a butchers on site. If they are then this should be advertised. People love eating local produce. The main thing that let it down was the cleanliness. With coronavirus going around and on the rise we now expect premises to be super clean. There was so much dust on window ledges, plug sockets and tops of seating. A lot of flies around too - you really could do with a fly killer front of house. I sincerely hope there’s one in the kitchen. All in all it was a nice morning. Nice coffee and nice staff. Just needs some more attention to detail

Came for breakfast and asked if I could swap a sausage for an egg because the sausage was only 65% meat and would be full of carbs. I told them I could not eat carb rich food they said they could take the sausage off and they said no, but would remove the sausage but still charge for it and I’d have to pay extra for an egg. I thought dietary requirements could be catered for, but not here, definitely won’t use this place again🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬but no stars

My wife and I called at Rebecca's Kitchen for a spot of Sunday Lunch. We saw that roast dinners were available and both went for the Pork roast dinner. (Pork would not have been our first choice, but there was no Turkey or Chicken options, only Pork or Beef...). The menu mentioned that these roasts came with gravy and vegetables... When our meals arrived, I was surprised to see that they were smothered with yellow gunk, that turned out to be cauliflower cheese! I cannot stand cauliflower cheese (or any form of cheese). This was disappointing to say the least, and ruined the meal for me completely. Although I scraped off most of the vile gunge, it completely put me off my meal and I was not able to finish it! This was NOT mentioned on the menu, and I noticed that everyone's roast dinner came with this foul contamination... Apart from the unwanted, unannounced ingredient, the meal was mediocre. The pork was reasonably tender, but was served in small, circular slices. The roast potatoes were mushy, and my wife commented that the was no apple sauce with the pork. These roasts were over-priced at almost £20, and much better roasts are available in the area for a more reasonable price. The soft drinks we ordered were also over-prices at nearly £3 for a small can. But the worst thing for me was the cauliflower cheese! what on earth were they thinking? Not everybody likes cheese, and I certainly would not expect it to be a staple part of a Sunday roast! Had it been made clear on the menu that it would come with this stuff, I would have ordered something else! Had anyone asked me if the meal was OK, I would have complained, but by this point I had completely gone off the idea of eating anything!
