This was a really lovely little place to have morning coffee, we had done a lot of travelling this day, stopped off in Lutterworth & superb morning coffee & cake was on offer here. The staff were so nice & very very friendly.

I thought we were going somewhere classy, how very wrong we were. Avoid unless you like to eat in a primark.

Visited here recently for Sunday lunch, 4 adults and 2 children. The restaurant is located within the historic Catthorpe Manor Hotel and the views and surroundings are amazing. We had 3 courses, starters were the perfect size and were brilliant. Service was swift and the young servers were very attentive. The main course comes out with a huge Yorkshire pudding so I was definitely happy there and it tasted delicious. Pudding again was served promptly and was a delicious, home made Apple crumble and custard! All in all highly recommended for somewhere off the beaten track in the heart of the Leicestershire countryside and will come back again :)

Food was not nearly up to standard. Brioche buns for the burgers burnt, no lettuce, or any salad in the burgers at all. Very basic and bland. Not what you would expect at all for the surroundings, a la carte portions but not a la carte standard!

I took a friend for lunch recently. The stater was presented beautifully and the flavours were excellent. However, we both ordered blade of beef for our main and we're very disappointed. I have near seen a blade of beef served that way, whilst it looked very nice, again good presentation, the beef was presented like pulled pork, in a tower. It was very dry and there was a tiny drizzle of jus which was no wear near enough to counteract the dryness of the meat and my guest left most of theirs to my embarrassment. Desert, well again delicious and beautifully presented. But I was sad my guest had not enjoyed the main course, I tried my best to plough through mine but I didn't enjoy it. I will choose fish if I go again.

Food was beautifully presented, but some (lamb) rather overcooked and dry. Service was professional and friendly, however, gave the impression we were being hurried through. The restaurant itself is attractive, and welcoming.

We had a very pleasant Saturday lunch off the House menu, during a drive from Manchester to Kent. The staff were very nice and looked after our 2 year old daughter very well. Burgers were very natural with a nice relish. The giant mussels were impressive, just could have done with a few more!

Fabulous food and service. James the Chef cooks to a very high standard and his dishes always looked like a work of art and tasted delicious too. The sea bass, hake and lamb dishes were all lovely and were accompanied with many unusual flavours. The attention to detail in the presentation was to a very high standard. Well done James!

Great surroundings and should be a fantastic experience. Sadly the service and the food didn't live up to the gorgeous building.

Excellent lunch and very helpful and friendly staff. This was on a Sunday and the menu gave a good selection of options. My wife had Sea Bass and I had Pork Loin - both excellent.

The Linden Tree is the restaurant within the/a hotel. It's not very clear what the places is and they need to sort that out... When you arrive and park there's no signage telling you where to go and the entrance is very confusing... They really need to sort that out. The place itself is lovely, the lounges and rooms are beautifully decorated and clean. The service was great, attentive professional and friendly. The dining room was too bright and a little impersonal... I think that'd change if they used some colour perhaps some wallpaper turned the lights down and focused it on the tables. It's not a canteen. The food was good... Perhaps a little over priced but it was restaurant food rather than pub grub which was nice... The wine was fine, I think when a place is new you have to do something to attract people to you, to make them talk about their existence in a good way... I think putting some nice wines at really keen prices would be a good start. I think The Linden Tree will continue to develop and get better... I'd go back

Excellent choice of food in this attractively decorated restaurant. Staff very helpful and can really recommend the omelettes for breakfast; particularly filling.

It was a late delayed Christmas celebration , with family members .We discovered the Linden Tree after trying to find a restaurant that was half way between our family members in Hertfordshire and our home in Derbyshire . What a truly lovely surprise it was . The surroundings beautiful , albeit a little disturbed by road noise from the A14 and the M1 , The Manor itself is beautifully restored . It has a quiet elegance . On entering the staff are professional and more than helpful . We were taken to a restful , elegant sitting room before going into the restaurant . Our whispers were however , 'are we the only one's here' ? It was extremely quiet , with not another soul in sight . No problem , a whole Manor to ourselves. The restaurant is beautifully decorated , soft subtle greys, restful and elegant . We drank Champagne and ate the most delicious meal . All our meals and deserts were outstanding ,faultless , beautifully prepared and served . We were joined by two other groups of people in the end , the atmosphere remained perfect . This restaurant is a gem waiting to be discovered , get there before everyone else does . Our only complaint was it is a little difficult to find even with a satnav ,. Also on entering the grounds there are few , if any , signs to help customers find the restaurant , with no visible main entrance .If this tiny fault was corrected , the whole experience would have got 5Stars . It would be a wonderful wedding venue , or for a special occasion .

Easily one of the best Sunday roast’s about! The roast beef is my go to and it’s never disappointed. Remember to bang on a side of cauliflower cheese too! The Monday - Saturday menu is also really good. There’s always familiar favourites, but the menu changes throughout the seasons! Steak, pies, Billy burger, fish and chips are always really good! They also have pizza’s available Thursday to Sunday! High quality, fresh local ingredients (including some grown on site, I believe). Good selection of beers too - the recent(ish) addition of Steeplechase is appreciated! 👍

Went for breakfast and our only other experience in one of their lounges was that our food wasn’t hot enough. So we tried this one whilst staying in the hotel next door. I had the lounge breakfast and my partner the smashed avocado brunch. I’m guessing you already know what’s coming….. my breakfast was just about warm enough but my partners food was cold in places and had to be sent back. When it returned I’d already finished my meal and it still wasn’t all hot. We think that a lot of the items are already cooked and kept warm. A tip for them would be to get their plates hot as this would definitely help. 2 visits from us but we won’t be coming again. £31.25 for 2 meals and 2 coffees at breakfast time should be of a lot higher standard. Your restaurants are very nice but if the food isn’t right then people like us won’t return.

Stayed here while doing PADI dive qualification dives over at Stoney Cove. This place is a real piece of history as an old Coaching Inn. Lacked some of the mod cons of contemporary hotels but if you want to step back in time this is your place. Nice bar, lovely breakfast - the lady who served was wonderfully attentive and there was a real sense of family. Outside there is a passageway where I guess the old coaches would have come through but now it's an amazing piece of art is only how I can describe it you have to see it to understand. All in all well worth a visit and I'd happily stay here again. Cheers

Lovely friendly pub, with an old world charm and fabulous welcome. Like many pubs these days it's not able to provide food as owner has a second job. I only marked down due to opening times being wrong. Opens at 4pm at moment, that said everyone coming in was treated like family.

Great atmosphere, staff always helpful and never make a fuss when asked for anything, always go above and beyond. Megan and Aimee great behind the bar and running food always making sure everything correct and not felt rushed.
