All round very good. Food, service, drinks were great. Waitress advised one of the group could have gammon steak even though it wasn't on the Sunday menu. He was very happy.

Beautiful food. Reasonably priced and great choice. Very friendly staff. Lovely atmosphere.

Claire and Rochelle were amazing staff and some guy was adamant that he should get a free pint of ale and Claire handled it amazingly well, food was great and service was great, recommend to anyone.

We often frequent the Roebuck as it is local to us. We usually have no problems and The meal is usually delicious.. the service was great but the food was below average which we were so surprised about. I had to ask for the Chutney to go with the Camembert starter. My husband had the pan fried chicken before so I decided to go with that and so did he. It was ok and rather disappointed as my husband had said how delicious it was . My husband did say that it wasn’t as nice as the one he had had before!

Came in for a family meal last week, parents and grandparents were served very quickly with a friendly and enthusiastic front of house team. Food was also severed quick but did not lack the quality, the pies and specials tasted great and were presented beautifully. We were all given a warm welcome and goodbye by the managers and left feeling contempt, will definitely be coming back.

Spur of the moment visit. Got a table very quickly. Food and staff are excellent. Thank you guys, keep up the good work.

We have eaten here many times and today three of the four meals were very good BUT they used very limp butterhead lettuce I would have put in the food bin, instead of Romaine or even Little Gem lettuce. If they were short food shops a short distance away were open. We were then kept waiting for 40 minutes for three desserts. In the end we asked if we were getting them. A disappointing birthday lunch for me. We went to pay at the bar and were kept waiting another 15/20 minutes. The young dark haired man who served us was excellent, polite, pleasant and helpful. So thanks to him. Sorry the wait to pay did you out of a tip.

Starter should have been with a brioche bun came with one very small over done piece of toast. Main water Melon and feta salad, the feta cheese was nearly non existent very poor.

Excellent food and portion size. Food prices are very reasonable. Drinks on the high side but not excessive.

We went for lunch and it was extremely overpriced for what you get. Our starters were average, deep fried mushrooms were watery inside. Our mains were smaller than our starters and the food was cold. Charged us double for kids juice that was purely tap water with a bit of robinsons. Do not recommend. This place needs to do better as The Cherry Tree down the road are miles ahead.

Dissappointed with the waiting time for food, rare steak with the texture of leather and inedible vegetables. The burgers were good and the pies were good. The staff were friendly. Party of 7, none of us would go again

Went for lunch and it was way too overpriced for what you get. Food was average. The starters we had was literally bigger than the mains. Charged us double for kids juice that was mainly tap water in a bottle. First and last time going there.

Lovely atmosphere as always. Lovely furnishings and very clean. Food lovely. We ordered some starters as a bit of a tapas as we are not big eaters at lunchtime. Kai who served us was lovely. Very well presented, Lovely young man who engaged well in conversation. Generally a great atmosphere with staff and management interaction being that of good management and people who like being at work. Thanks all for a great experience.

Very long time waiting for good to be served over an hour for main same with desert. Waiting staff not really bother about any guest not came to us at all we had to looking for them. Drinks and dessert we had to order in a bar as there wasn’t any one in dining room. Same to pay bill otherwise we would have to wait another hour for someone to come to us. Food was very taste and dessert as well but waiting time really putting off. Don’t feel like I want to back there.

Wow, I visited here on the off chance after travelling to see family, what such a lovely venue with such amazing polite and freindly staff, I cannot wait to bring my family and friends. For my lunch I had a chicken and chorizo kebab (photo doens't do it justice) oh my you cannot beat the flavours will definitely be one of my recommendations considering normally i usually opt for a burger when i eat out. Thank you so much team Roebuck 😁 I most definitely will be back soon

Been going here for years, but last evening were met by a very rude waiter. We were thinking of going for a meal and drinks and were going to sit just inside the door on the right hand side, where we've sat numerous times and told we could eat, but have to order at the bar, when some waiter at the restaurant pedestal shouted at us to ask what we were doing. Well, everybody was looking at us and we were dumbfounded as to where he was coming from, so we left and went to the Wheel and Compass at Weston, where we had a very good meal.

Had a large family gathering here, and they made a buffet for us, to our specifications, and it was wonderful, couldn't be happier! A big Thank You, to all staff members, was memorable 😀

Excellent service from a lovely waitress Rochelle a credit to the establishment. And to top it all great food. Would certainly recommend and will definitely be having a return visit.

Food was excellent, staff were really friendly and helpful. It took a while before our order was taken but this was due to the lack of staff and it being quiz night so they were busy at the bar.

Staff was great and he memorized all our orders from 7 of us and then came back when put through the till and read it back and was all correct Amazing memory from Duncan our waiter 🙌

Been here a few times now enjoyed them very much last night was poor for me ordered the gammon which I have had and enjoyed times before this time it was chargrilled which wasn't stated on the menu very burnt around the edges not very enjoyable portion has got smaller all other meals ordered were enjoyable ( lasagne, burger and kebabs sorry roebuck but imo it has gone done in value

A busy Mothers Day but food and service was awesome 👌

Lovely setting and lovely food. I brought my mum for Mother’s Day and my birthday and met up with my children from out of town for a meal based on a previous swift visit on a Sunday and it did not disappoint. Staff were understanding about my son being delayed by the trains and food was excellent - beautifully presented and good value for money!

Not been here for years so decided to try it out with friends. Nice inside. Service good. Food very sparce on the plates. My wife had sea bass at over £17 of the main menue. Discraceful portion. Two exceptionaly small fillets which covered the so called veg under it. Our two year old grandaughter eats more !. We didnt complain at the time so as not to put a downer on the lunch but my wife tried tocall three times and emailwd too. Three days later a phone call to discuss it but only sorry but it was a small portion. WHAT !!! at £17 and after all it was a chain pub not an al carte restraunt. We will not be returning. If your on a small fiet and have money to throw away then go but make sure you have a meal ready when you get home.

We had a buffet for my mother's wake and the food, service and the way they helped us was fantastic. The manager was brilliant.

Chicken club sandwhich cold bacon stone cold chips dry probely an old portion from previous customers really upset been before fine I never complain or of had 2 very poor meal and an easy option basic stuff really

Good service. Not waiting too long. Food looked good. Unfortunately steak was a bit tough, but lovely chips, and big tomato and mushroom. Very tasty.

Sunday roast beef dinners are to die for. Generous portions, better than most non carvery operations.

There was no vegetarian sandwich option. The mixed salad was tiny and consisted solely of leaves. Soda & lime was not available as they had run out of lime on the previous day. It is a dog friendly pub and I think the dogs get the best deal.

Excellent meal,prompt service and attentive and friendly staff. A nice pint of Hobgoblin aswell. The food was piping hot and delicious,would thoroughly recommend.

Great place for Armed Forces Veterans Breakfast

Great venue for breakfast. AFBC gives the opportunity for veterans to meet up and talk. Loneliness can be a killer but the Roebuck offers a good breakfast and ample parking.

Felt we were not given the most welcoming arrival for our booking. Food was OK however do feel overpriced when taking into account the whole event and atmosphere. We had a young couple with a child close by, Baby obviously overtired 7pm at night and not that old, and we had the pleasure of Peppa Pig playing at high volume. Also be aware of extra prices. Someone in our party did not one standard salad with meal and was charged £3.50 for tiny fries. Also politely asked for a littlest extra custard with pudding of which staff agreed then charged £1 per extra portion.

Great service, good food. Clean and large restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful. The menu is good. Worth a visit..

Dining area not very warm for the elderly

It was a real treat for me to be with my family at Christmas dinner and not in the kitchen.. food was amazing.. Meat (steak) was cooked to perfection.. food came out hot and at a leisurely pace.. we had a really special time.. thank you to the chef and the friendly staff

Seated immediately and served by Rochelle. Good menu choices and reasonably priced. I had the special ‘pie and pint’ Wednesday offer. It was well presented and very filling - nice. The area we sat in was lovely, airy and quite bright even though there were a lot of customers.

Have to say service and food were both amazing, very friendly staff. Had steak and ale pie and the mash was definitely creamy, can highly recommend. Really nice night out. Thank you to the staff as well. Well worth a full star review.

Have always had a good meal before and rated as such. But this visit I'm afraid both of our mix grill and ribeye steak meals were not great. Underdone and stringy steak and greasy chips. Sorry guys. Not your best performance.

We all had Sunday dinner and all were very good. Plenty of vegetables. All the other meals on previous visits have been really good.

Ordered starter and main waited 30 mins for starter then we were told starter was not available Then had to wait another 40 mins for main 1 was fine the other was ordered with cauliflower cheese as extra did not arrive until meal was finished

Brilliant ! - Loretta and her team are v responsive, food was excellent, great prompt attentive service with genuinely happy staff despite us having double the original attendees! We’ve booked going forward every month now based on delighted feedback from the Market Harborough Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club attendees. Would like to plan ahead too with Xmas 2024 meal if possible?

Excellent service from the front of house staff and complaints to the kitchen staff. The young lady who looked after our party of eleven (5 children) and six adults was absolutely perfect. The food was well cooked and the quality was to our requirements. To the manager. You have a fantastic team.

First time in and will definitely be back. Superb for families and aging relatives that need a short hop from a big car park. What a lovely place for a swifty or a nice pub meal.

The staff were very friendly, however appeared to always be busy elsewhere. Though the restaurant wasn’t fully booked. We had to repeatedly ask for either drinks, placing our food order or cutlery. I specifically asked for a high chair when I booked and had to ask for it twice when we arrived. Appeared that they were very short staffed. Food was very good and arrived in good time once ordered and there was a nice atmosphere overall. Will be interesting to visit on an ordinary weekend

Sat in bar area table and chairs covered in crumbs. Meals took an age to come and very mediocre, no cutlery or condiments with food,had to search out our own

Food was ok, main waitress taking order was great but young boy who served the food was surly and lacking in customer service and communication skills.

Don't wash dishes properly. Keeps discarded food waste in open bin in kitchen. Serves out of date fruit crumble. Serves the same brownie offered to children or adults. Constant staff turnover. Online training which is actually multiple choice but little actual training. No interaction from management with staff. Poor customer feedback when management try serving. Food served at nuclear heat due to microwave

Ate a Festive Menu lunch at The Roebuck yesterday - party of three including elderly mother. Two Roast Turkey meals and the Veggie Tart Roast option, three different desserts - cannot recommend highly enough for quality, quantity, value, service and ambience! My only recommendation to the management- given the demographic - would be to ensure there's a bottle of sherry available behind the bar!

Everything was lovely from the welcome to the food! We were sat near a troublesome table and all staff were very professional and kept their cool under pressure. There were not many staff in the front of house but they did a great job from start to finish! Well done all,
