Every time I come in either for a nice quiet drink or a meal it is always top notch. Never a dull moment at the roebuck. Kid friendly is always key when it comes to the children having fun with a play area outside also colouring when awaiting for the food. The team will look after you with any enquiries you may have and you will receive the top answer. Only con Maybe add children’s steak on the menu. This will be a big hit 👍

Great Sunday Roast. Service was polite, quick and courteous. Food good....meat was exceptional. Love the coffee.

The manager has an awful attitude problem, his rude to customers so I’m certain he would also be rude to the staff which might be the reason the staff tell lies. They didn’t bring one of our meals out when questioned her attitude was very unprofessional, she lied and said it was sat on the side in the kitchen when it clearly had been forgotten. She should have told the truth but didn’t then brought out an undercooked meal and it was disgusting. The table was dirty on arrival and it’s gone down hill, which is a shame but maybe better management will come and it will improve.

Great venue and friendly, hard working staff. Lovely atmosphere and we were made very welcome. Food was great and there was a wide choice of food available and some great offers, we took the pie and a pint offer but there were others. The beer was well kept and served at the prefect temperature and the pie, steak and ale, was tasty, and came with five vegetables and mash. The gravy was delicious. Thanks to our waiter too who managed to split the bill which was more complicated than 50:50! I will certainly be visiting again soon.

Squeezed us in on a busy Sunday lunch. Really good Sunday roast. Very good service, especially considering how busy they were. Will be back.

Just went in for a Sunday Roast with my friends and the whole experience here at Roebuck made my Sunday 10x better. We’ve been taken care of by Sarah making sure we have everything that we need, as well helping us with some extra gravy 😋 I will definitely come again

We went for a last minute Sunday roast as I couldn’t be bothered to cook. The welcome was excellent, we were found a table straight away. The staff explained that they had a large private party coming in later but that didn’t make any difference. Our food was served quickly, it was a really good Sunday roast, I had Pork, my husband had the beef. I don’t eat potatoes so I had an extra Yorkshire pudding which was great. Highly recommend the Roebuck if you want a good no fuss meal, excellent service, excellent food and reasonably priced

Came across this pub by accident. We had a lovely lunch of fish & chips & pie & chips. Good food for the price. Friendly service

Pie pastry I couldn't cut it was so hard they swapped it with sausage n mash without onion gravy it come with onion gravey so I could eat it the pudding come with half a scoop of ice cream and when mentioned it the attitude wasn't very good Avoid this place for food the just reheat stuff clearly

Spur of the moment visit. Got a table very quickly. Food and staff are excellent. Thank you guys, keep up the good work. Well the good work has ceased. We went there today Sunday 29th September. Booked a table for 3pm. We were told that there will be a 45 minute wait for food. An hour and five minutes with no food, yet the table next to us had their main and pudding delivered and still we were waiting. We had ordered two roast dinners. My wife had the pork and I had the trio. Each plate had one potato, one carrot, 4 parsnips, a desert spoon of red cabbage that tasted like jelly, some meat, a large Yorkshire pudding, a smattering of gravy and what only can be described as a pork scratching in place of crackling. Our dinners were plonked in front of us with no offer of sauces and no check back. We are our meal as we were hungry. Normally we would of had a pudding, but we complained that the service we got was not upto the usual standard and alm we got was, well you have eaten over half of your meal and so we cannot do anything. We went to pay, the person who was on the till, went and got someone else to see to us and he asked if everything was OK, we said no, but clearly he wasn't interested. We paid and left and we will not go back. It's a shame that a bad experience could have been avoided. I have worked in this industry for over 15 years in my back in the 80s and 90s and managed a few pub restaurants. My staff always sang from the same hymn sheet as they were trained regularly in customer service. If you want your customers to return, then do something about it

Came to the roebuck because my friend recommended it, and we left so happy with our experience. When we first arrived we were greeted by Duncan who was really friendly, helpful and welcoming. We were then looked after by Jade who was even more friendly and helpful, she even recommended a nice starter for us - the bbq cauliflower wings, which we ordered and they were amazing, they tasted great and we were so impressed! Our mains were really tasty too, I had the buttermilk chicken burger and it was probably the best burger I've had in a while. My friend had the hunters chicken and said it was really good too, I did get a bit of food envy when I saw it. We weren't going to have a pudding originally but with how nice everything was we decided to treat ourselves and shared a chocolate brownie sundae after Jade and Duncan helped us choose. Overall it was a great visit, the atmosphere here is so nice and relaxing, we felt so happy the whole time. Jade and Duncan were amazing, and are a real asset to the pub! We will definitely be back and will recommend to all of our friends too!

Took my elderly mother in there yesterday for a nice lunch to use the 30% discount voucher she received through the post. Got seated very quickly by Duncan who was very helpful in explaining to my mum the process. On ordering our food and drinks with Jade she was also very good at ensuring we ordered the right things, like changing normal fries for sweet potato etc. Food came out at an expected time and Jade and Duncan were very attentive without being intrusive. Overall The Roebuck is a very clean and friendly place to go, I would 100% recommend. WILL BE BACK.

Warm friendly atmosphere with tentative staff. Meal choices very good and varied snd quality of food was excellent, we also had the opportunity to utilise a 30% of main meals voucher which provided even better value for money. We’ve never had a bad dining experience at Roebucks.

Pub is clean and tidy, friendly staff. Food was a while from ordering to being placed on the table but was kept informed, wasn't a problem as it gave us chatting time. When the food turned it was piping hot and delicious.

We were so impressed. It was our puppies first trip to a pub and she was made to feel so welcome. The biscuits were a big hit. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back and already recommended to all people we know with dogs.

What a great place. The serving staff were amazing and the food was so tasty. We had the Sunday lunch and the yorkie puds are as big as your head. The meat was tender and the gravy was out of this world. Thank you for a great time. We will be back again soon for another visit.

Burgers were tiny, paid extra for sweet potato fries and they were burnt. Very expensive for a small amount of food. Servers were lovely.

We always have a very pleasant time visiting The Roebuck. We are always guaranteed to have good food with excellent service from friendly staff. We are always checked upon throughout our to check that everything is ok, it always has been so far. The Roebuck has become our place to go for a get together with family and friends.

Visited this Sunday 25/8/24 . We both had Sunday roast which was very nice followed by a cheeky desert. (despite being totally full up!) We were served by Harry who was very polite and cheerful.

We had a dog with us, and the chap behind the bar quite curtly pointed at the area for guests with dogs and directed us there. We sat for nearly 5 minutes, which I appreciate isn't long, but when a place is quiet, and in hospitality terms, is a long time before the same guy from behind the bar came towards our table with menus...before going to have a conversation with a member of staff who was sat having their break. When the menus finally arrived, they were tired, ripped and chewed. The whole visit just seemed to lack professionalism, and as customers, it felt we were merely a hindrance. Overall, a very disappointing experience...again. Rest assured, we won't be returning.

Visited here yesterday for a family meal and service was great, namely Harry in Service. Whilst the food was 7/10, the cocktails and service were a strong 9/10. Overall enjoyed the meal

They hold an Armed Forces Veteran's breakfast club here on the 3rd Saturday morning of every month. It's always a fun atmosphere and all veterans are made very welcome - even the RAF ones! (I'm ex-RN) 😜😁🤣

Service was great and welcoming. Food was ready for us (as we pre-ordered for lunch). And it was delicious! We sat in the garden which is a nice spot to enjoy a cold drink. Staff are very accommodating and always happy to help.

First time visit and found the gf choice very good. Ordered the kebab and it was fantastic. Very tasty and fresh flavour. Also the Guinness was fresh and one of the best I’ve had. Staff were also polite and professional. A nice place to be.

What an absolute pleasure, it was our first visit but it will certainly not be our last. We had not booked but when we arrived we were shown straight away to a table although it was busy. The tables are far enough apart to not feel cramped. Menu's were given to us & we were allowed more than enough time to decide what we wanted rather than being rushed. A young man then came to our table to take our order of food & drinks. The drinks arrived within minutes & our meals shortly after. We had both ordered turkey roasts which were cooked to perfection, well proportioned & piping hot. We later ordered from the sweet menu & once again I could not fault it. It's nice to go to somewhere where you've been made to feel welcome, had a good meal & at a very affordable price. It is only 15 miles from our home so we will most certainly return & I would very highly recommend it to anyone.

The food was excellent but the restaurant was very busy and service was slow. Partly because we were having to chase the waitresses we in the end failed to show our 30% discount so we missed out on this even though we had enquired about it earlier. Bit annoyed that the waitress did not remind us! However overall the good food stopped us being quite as upset that we had missed out on the discount.

What can I say a hidden gem that I did not know existed.Me and my partner visited here and was met with delicious food ,a warm atmosphere and friendly staff.Food was fresh and well prepared and the restaurant bar it self is spacious and we was seated in a quiet area which we asked for.We was waited on by a young girl by the name of Jasmine who greeted us with a smile and catered to our needs.She is a credit to your company.

We went to the Roebuck for a meal a couple of days ago, the restaurant is a really nice place to eat. We had a nice quite area more or less to ourselves and the food was exceptional. The staff are also very friendly and welcoming and I have to say, Jasmine was really helpful, she made us feel very welcomed and she was pleasant and was really nice to talk to. I would highly recommend this place for a place to eat.

I eat there at least once a week mostly twice. The food is good and a fair price. Most important to me is that all the staff, lead by Duncan & Richard are friendly and helpful. That is why I and many of my friends go there. There are plenty of places to eat in Harborough but service makes the difference and the Roebuck as it in bucket loads.

Came for Sunday carvery lunch. The food was lovely and well presented but I was bitterly disappointed that the food was served lukewarm. The only bits of the meal that were hot enough were the roast potatoes and the stuffing! How difficult is it to ensure food is at correct temperature. I have been to other carveries where food is hot even though it is serve yourself. Food coming directly from the kitchen should be piping hot!
