Great range varing from Venan to Meat items. Great service and pleasant staff. Wonderful range of items to take away to include coffees, preserves, pickles and biscuits. I am so sad to hear they are leaving Wirksworth, I used them on a regular 3 times a week basis.

Just had the most fabulous meal today with my daughter. The food was piping hot it was well presented and first class. The chef even came out and asked if the food was ok. Really friendly touch to the pub and staff.

Went today with 2 small people, reserved a table yesterday in the family room. The children loved chalking on the boards while waiting for their lunches, not a long wait at all, we had a large order, the children having a jacket potato, macaroni and home made chips, and me having a toasted scone and salad and dad a panini, posh coffee, hot chocolate and milkshakes and all for around £10 each including ginger breads. Fresh food, clean and nice staff. We then went around the farm to see the animals and saw 3 lambs brought into the world. What a lovely day.

Staying at local hotel for week...and thought try TC Express...instead of full TC restaurant as used in past. Situated in The Hub not far from cark park 3 entrance to Hub. Parking fees during day...but visited after 6pm and did not have to pay! Not full and given choice to sit anywhere - good start!. Friendly staff from manager all the way to chef....cooking area in main restaurant. Drinks first - red wine large glass....good quality and not bad price. Starter shared was Ali De Pollo - breaded wings with garlic mayo. Wings really crispy and chicken moist succulent. These are not the small wings that you normally get but plenty of meat!. Main courses were Carbonara and Pollo al Funghi - breaded chicken covered with mushroom sauce. Food excellent. Service Excellent. Manager friendly and spent time being interested in finding out who we were and how we found the meal! We def visit again next time up in area.

Brilliant potential with new owner. Willing to challenge what beers they should sell. We look forward to what they do in the future

We booked for Easter Sunday, even though staff pleasant, not impressed with food, we ordered off menu, the mix grill was overcooked, didn't have enough steak for 1 mix grill, the chicken strips etc we ordered were overcooked, sauce overheated in microwave, i think the Carvery is in wrong place as kitchen door right next to it and going for Carvery you block the door for staff in and out with other meals, think Mallard need to have a re think on altering Carvery stand plus if know going to be busy on a Sunday either stick to a Carvery, not off menu, so you can concentrate on one thing . Plus I had asked for easy access to loo for my dad who has trouble walking and stuck us furthest away , without ease to loo ,

We used to use the Risley Park probably 3 times a week for food a few years ago but stopped going in as it went so down hill the food portions became smaller the price increased the quality was poor, the atmosphere that was once great and buzzing just died. So 4 years on we go back ! We heard a new manager was institute and thigs had improved š³ Wrong The place is empty, no atmosphere, the food well it was mediocre at best , hot chips cold chips, tasteless veg, dead garnish !! As for what I'm assuming is the new manager, he has alot of patter but not alot else he would be better off in burger king. It's very sad to see how this pub has gone down over the past few years it makes you wonder if its time they shut the doors ?
