Great range varing from Venan to Meat items. Great service and pleasant staff. Wonderful range of items to take away to include coffees, preserves, pickles and biscuits. I am so sad to hear they are leaving Wirksworth, I used them on a regular 3 times a week basis.

This is a little gem of a cafe, do not be in a rush when you visit, the food is always cooked fresh to order and it is well worth waiting for. Superb tea and coffee and a great selection of cakes and scones. The staff are always friendly, polite and always make a fuss of our dogs. Free parking available. We are now regular visitors. We pre booked for Sunday Roast which happened to be on Mother’s Day. The location is perfect with a huge car park. Great for Sunday walks with a drink at the end. The girl on the bar was very welcoming and showed us to our table. It wasn’t long until the tasty Sunday roast arrived, and it was fantastic. Plenty of choice of beers on tap! The owners of the pub are fantastic. It’s a massive 5 stars from us.

Ian and nicky are fantastic, pub has a great atmosphere.

Definitely the best breakfast around! I nipped in on the weekend for a full breakfast and I took few cakes away for my family. Soooo good. I was there with my young nephew so sat in the family room and he loved drawing on the chalkboard.. I love the fact there is a room just for adult and older children… working with kids a lot, I definitely appreciate the quieter area!

This place is very hit and miss, tonight was a miss. It was extremely cold, don’t think there was any heating on and the food was ok’ish. Understand new management is taking over shortly, hope it improves.

Staying at local hotel for week...and thought try TC Express...instead of full TC restaurant as used in past. Situated in The Hub not far from cark park 3 entrance to Hub. Parking fees during day...but visited after 6pm and did not have to pay! Not full and given choice to sit anywhere - good start!. Friendly staff from manager all the way to chef....cooking area in main restaurant. Drinks first - red wine large glass....good quality and not bad price. Starter shared was Ali De Pollo - breaded wings with garlic mayo. Wings really crispy and chicken moist succulent. These are not the small wings that you normally get but plenty of meat!. Main courses were Carbonara and Pollo al Funghi - breaded chicken covered with mushroom sauce. Food excellent. Service Excellent. Manager friendly and spent time being interested in finding out who we were and how we found the meal! We def visit again next time up in area.

Been before and again today Thursday 19th december 2024. Wasnt too busy so got a table ok. menu is ok and prices ok. Only comment is that the lattee coffees need a bigger size

Four of us called into the Stanhope arms last night 3 out of the 4 had the stone bass dish (as recommended by the chef) and 1 had the rump steak. All four of us were so impressed with our meals. This wasn’t just pub food, it was top restaurant quality. The chef is absolutely amazing. The steak looked more like a fillet steak and was cooked to perfection. The stone bass was something else! 11/10 Lovely atmosphere and great staff.
