Canal Cottages cafe in Erewash

Been before and again today Thursday 19th december 2024. Wasnt too busy so got a table ok. menu is ok and prices ok. Only comment is that the lattee coffees need a bigger size

Lovely setting , great breakfast, owner female is a pill ! Be careful not to be to picky about where you sit, upsets her! Lovely you’ve girls that are very friendly and kind, love the coffee there

Lovely spot in Draycott…as a couple we have regular coffee cake or hot cobs. Staff are very friendly and clearly well managed, professional service, well mannered team. Good selection of quality always fresh food. Never kept waiting long at all. Best cappuccino around in our opinion. Atmosphere is relaxed. Very clean in and out.. must mention.. clean toilet facilities too. A welcome stopping place. Very reasonable pricing and good all round service. Ample parking. Dogs always have fresh water. Have noticed get a treat !! Lots of seating scattered around outdoors with nice spots to enjoy your visit. Well done Management ☺️ and thank you.

Been before last year and again today Weds 13th march 2024. Car park was busy but managed to get a blue badge space. Reasonable menu and not too pricey. We had what they call a large latte but wasnt what we call large. T cake was lovely. Staff very customer friendly

Called in while out walking with my wife, who had previously been to the cafe. Super friendly staff with great food at reasonable prices. Can't wait to call in again and sample some more of their food. I had a small breakfast which was excellent and wasn't really small at all....followed by biscoff cheesecake.....loved it. Wife had a cheese/chutney paninis which she really enjoyed too.

I've visited this cafe a few times and have always found the staff to be friendly and welcoming. It hasn't been built that long and is in a nice position in Draycott near a nice walking pathway and canal as well as being clean and modern. I have often cycled here from Borrowash. The menu has a lot of choices and at very good reasonable prices. The only down side for me and why I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is because they allow dogs in which I don't like from a hygiene point of view. Plus I'm nervous of dogs due to a bad previous experience so I don't feel comfortable sitting near them. I know a lot of places allow them in now but I think consideration should also be given to customers who don't have dogs or don't feel it is right from a hygiene point of view. It is quite a small place so if you had a few dogs in at one time it would be difficult and uncomfortable for non dog owners. I also feel for the dogs who are pushed under a table in cramped conditions when they should be out walking in the fresh air.
