First time we have Booked the lounge. This will not be the last. We were friendly welcomed at reception explained how it worked. The breakfast there was cereals, porridge, cold and hot fresh food you can go back as many times as you wish. The drinks there was a good selection alcohol or non alcohol, along with a coffee machine. There were no toilet in the lounge area which is a shame. Overall a good experience

Stopped for a quick pint while looking round Ashbourne beer was ok for a standard pub not a great choice of ale . I did notice people having a beer outside with food they'd bought elsewhere which was good

Called in for a quick drink and maybe some lunch ,found the atmosphere to be a little bit lacking and the drinks where quite expensive , there is a good outdoor seating area overlooking the river we decided not to eat there and left , it was ok but a bit disappointing, we probably wouldn’t go back in a hurry

We visited Hall's Sweet Shop & Ice Cream and was served by a lady who was unbelievably rude. We were a group of 10 all wanting sweets or ice cream. After I had placed my order she then said "it's cash only, go over the road to the cash machine and come back when you've got cash". There were no notices in the shop window or by the counter. We left and went elsewhere and would not return and definitely would not recommend.

The food and drink were very tasty, but I'd like to praise the staff. We went on a Saturday morning, and there were four young girls working. They were all so friendly, whilst being good at their work, and very efficient. They made the place a really happy place. Well done girls!

Such a lovely hotel & pub. We stayed for 2 nights whilst exploring the Peak District. The hotel is walking distance to the grounds of chatsworth and a short drive to Bakewell. We were warmly greeted by Rachel, who let us know we had a complimentary upgrade to our room. We were travelling with our dog, who also got a little treat packet, that she was very happy with! Room was beautiful, with plenty of space and a secure courtyard that made it so much easier with the dog. Breakfast had a good choice of hot & cold options, and our evening meal with lovely. (We recommend the pie!). We would definitely stay again!

First the good part, the staff are lovely, especially the older man and woman who work there. They’re always really friendly. However, the food is always cold, we usually have to wait ages, we have a large family and expect to wait a bit but it’s ridiculous here. The burgers always look like they’ve been thrown together from across a room. The milkshakes have too much flavouring in and are kind of unbearable to drink and the hot chocolate is so watered down it’s just brown water. We’d rather drive to Ripley than visit this McDonald’s, I don’t know how they can get it so wrong.
