The Brasserie in Derbyshire Dales

The service is somewhat dire however the food is very good. I would highly recommend the food but not an overnight stay.

We had dinner in the restaurant one evening while staying at this hotel. There were two front of house staff. One was meeting and greeting customers, taking orders, waiting at tables and also running the bar in another part of the hotel. This meant that although he was working really hard, restaurant service was slow and getting a drink at the bar was difficult. His colleague just brought out some of the meals and completely ignored any diners who tried to attract her attention. The food in the restaurant was actually quite good, but not worth the prices being charged.
