The best restaurants in Moor Chesterfield East Midlands

Good portions and the chips were ok but found them and the fish very greasy no crunchy batter didn’t enjoy them enough to return

We went last minute as the restaurangt that was booked was closed down but still took our booking to celebrate a family ruby wedding anniversary, great food and lovely staff excellent value for money

Excellent little pub. In response to the comment about the flake.... The pumps used automatically measure so you will always receive a full pint. Friendly atmosphere and wonderful staff. Definitely worth a visit

Ordered a takeaway on Uber eats, said it would arrive no later than 8.15, at 8.16 I checked on the delivery only to find it had been cancelled because they couldn't fill the order. Very disappointed and upset as it was already quite late for us to get a food delivery.

The service was not very good at all, waited more than an hour for our food, for a party of 6. Cold steaks and bone dry chicken eventually arrived. A discount on the bill helped but by then there were some unhappy hungry guests….

We had the Mon-Fri before 6pm meal. Excellent value at £5 each! £2.99 for dessert. Wonderful choice and a delicious food. Would recommend to anyone. Friendly and helpful staff.

Rarely have a been so frustrated that I feel a need to leave a review while in the actual establishment and within 10 minutes of getting though the door. I have honestly never been to a place that has SO MANY staff on shift, with SO LITTLE actual work being done. I will say this isn't down to a one off or down to it being overly busy, the reality is that it's always like this, or at least it has been from my experience. My main issue today and just about every time I have been to this establishment is the incredibly SLOW service. It took over 10 minutes for someone to take my drinks order (no queue I might add), only one member of staff was seemingly capable of serving drinks it seems. All the other staff were merely scattered around the bar area purely for decoration it seems. I counted 4 staff members in the bar area during this time, two of which even stopped to make comment but do nothing (shocker!) I will be totally honest if this place didn't have an indoor play area I would even bother coming at all. I can only imagine this is the same for almost every other person visiting. I can only imagine it's the only reason the place is still in business, because it sure as hell isn't the service. The management in this establishment NEED to buck up OR be replaced by more competent people. As the current management are more than half the establishments problem, they don't direct the staff members to busy areas OR even look willing to chip and help out where needed (outside of showing people to their seats, which took two of them it took today).

Me and my husband came into this establishment, and we were expecting a nice and calm coffee. We were wrong to expect this. Ordered a latte, my husband had a cappuccino, these were adequate, but the service however was far from this. A girl served me, Shannun I believe the name badge said, a blonde girl, and when I went up to the till to place my order, I was greeted with a look which clearly showed that she was not interested in being at work. I had told her my order and she rolled her eyes in a very disgusting manner, which made me feel like a nuisance for even coming in, and extremely unwelcomed. Some enthusiasm from her would have been nice. Overall, the rest of the staff were nice and smiley, but this girl brought the whole atmosphere down! Clearly needs the same training on customer service as the rest of the staff who work here.

Ordered food delivery was really polite gave him wrong address by accident rand me and was really understanding food was still hot, The food was really delicious will definitely be ordering again.

Never had an issue with service and quality of food whether collected or delivered. Food always tastes great and hits the spots. Exactly what you’d want from a takeaway

Went to Tesco cafe Saturday , was served by Andy he was very advisable about the food and drinks , he was so polite and a great sense of humour it was a pleasure to be served by him , he was right about recommending me the fish finger wrap with waffle fries followed by a lemon muffin I wasn't waiting long for the food to arrive at my tablet , good job by the team

Bought 6 beef burgers of which the 2 i have had as chunks of bone in. The 1 piece of sirloin steak I had cost £8 and cooked medium rare left to rest for 10 minutes was like eating leather . Pork Pie that was recommended by many people was very disappointing when I cut into it the jelly just all ran out ,very disappointing
