River was the best server ever so polite and lovely to me and my boyfriend. they served us very quickly and was polite and very nice and chatty whilst doing so.

If you get the chance it's worth it just to be seen by River, it's another level! The food is good and affordable and the service is top quality 👌🏻

Keep away from the festive dinner. Cold, sprouts almost raw. Yorkshire pud was ok, but that was it. Turkey was processed. Other meals may be ok but this was not.

Lisa was excellent and so was Chloe for an excellent service meal was great and had a great time with family very quick service and very friendly staff

We eat here regularly as there is never an issue with our extra requests. Claire is fantastic, she knows which table my son likes and if possible when we book she will hold it for us. She always has a smile and goes above and beyond to to make us ( difficult customers to most) at ease and nothing is too much trouble

It was such a great meal River was our server she kept the beer flowing all night would not take no for an answer, she made sure we all had a great night thank you River you done us proud 👍👍👍

Great spot for a dinner, my son works there, so we used his voucher great food and great atmosphere, sometimes felt like the staff were too busy and the fact I had an egg shell in my gammon and eggs but excluding that service was perfect

If I could score zero I would, what a terrible carvery, thought we would go out for Sunday lunch save on pots, wish I’d cooked my own, roasts potatoes just turned into mash on the plate, veg selection was ridiculous, gravy wouldn’t stick to my food. Definitely won’t return there

We visited the Lock Keepers with our four granddaughters Whilst it was very busy the service was excellent All the staff were so attentive In particular the amazing Lisa was amazing despite being rushed of her feet she could not have been more helpful!

Really nice place through past experience however this was not the experience I expected. I’m not sure what I had done but a member of staff called Jessica was extremely rude and wouldn’t give anyone the time of day to deal with an issue we had regarding food. I’m sure she was just having a bad day but don’t we all. I suggest that the front of house staff namely Jessica gets some front of house training

Me and my wife went on Friday after work for tea ,I ordered a mixed grill at just over£15:50 what I received was the worst value mixed grill I have ever had, the peice of chicken breast I received was the smallest chicken breast I have ever seen, the gammon was even smaller when I cut the fat of it , I took two photos of the meal and the one with the fork on it is actually testing on the gammon so you can see how small the meat is , Trust me don't waist your money at this place it's a rip off.

What an absolutely awful stay, had a smootherd mixed grill on Tuesday night, the steak was inedible, I could not even cut it through with a steak knife, the gammon was cremated. Chips looked liked they were cooked a few days earlier. Complained to the server, poor lady not her fault, the manageress at the time, lottie, offered a complimentary drink, never got this and when I went to the bar had to pay for drink, staff were uninterested. I will never ever chose this establishment or any brewers fayre ever again, over the 3 nights stay the food and service was poor, the chef had no idea how to present food and just sent out 3rd rate food for what was a quite expensive meal,the buyer of the food needs to wake up to the rubbish that is served. No way was it value for money, and quite frankly macdonalds would have done far better!!

It's so nice to go and have Sunday lunch there the staff are really nice and helpful shout out to Tara at the bar is always friendly and James he always greets you with a nice smile and a welcome to match we shall be back again really enjoyed our lunch

Lovely place to go for food. We had daytime menu, 2 meals for £11.49 then can add starter and/or dessert for £2.49 each. Jaiden was on duty, very helpful and pleasant.

Chips were luke warm ,chicken was cooked and so was my grandsons burger ,it could have been hotter ,the chips were replaced but ate the main dish before they came out ,won't be going back ,although it's clean and the staff were very pleasant

Garbage everything over cooked….served wrong starter and then wrong main course and told its a bonus u have scampi with it ….. under staffed …. Poor staff …… and no time to train them …don’t waste your time or money ……

Had lovely food again and the service was fabulous. Didn't wait long for our food either. Clean table and clean toilets. Plenty of parking spaces.

Enjoyable food. We opted for the lunchtime special dishes which were tasty. The pub is clean and staff friendly. We go here quite often with family. The main issue I have is the condition of the outside area. Ash trays full to the brim every time, there is no way they are emptied every day and the amount of litter in the fish pond is awful. It just gives a poor impression of what is a decent place.

We had carvery and the food was very poor, no one enjoyed their meal. My daughter however did enjoy the soft play so I would return for that but I wouldn't eat here again.

Came here for my Granddaughters 3rd birthday with family. and friends. Didn't realise they did a carvery, so we all opted for that. It was one of the worst meals we have had. I don't know why, but it had a burnt taste to it all the meats was overcooked and dry. I understand now why they offer 25% off as it certainly is not worth the asking price. We will not return and i could only apologise to the family and friends we had invited for the awful experience.

Visited here for my birthday celebration and won’t be returning ever again,when a time when mental health is at the forefront the experience we had was disgusting.We placed our order and my sister took two of the kids to the play area to play.She came back with one kid as the manager had asked her to leave the player area.She belittled,degraded and humiliated her in front of a group of people for wearing a skirt and skin coloured leggings which she called inappropriate and removed her from the play area forcing her to leave one child in there unattended.The experience upset her and reduced her to tears which the manager said couldn’t be helped,we went there to enjoy ourselves and celebrate a special occasion which was ruined by the incompetence of the management at this establishment.I would urge everyone to avoid this place if you want to be tret like a human being I’d suggest visiting other places.

We were staying in the hotel and went to the restaurant to celebrate one of my grandchildren's birthdays. We all really enjoyed our meals. The children had the starter, main and pudding option for £5.99 from the kids menu. it was good value for what they got. Jess and Lottie were our servers and they were lovely with the children. They even brought a card and bag of sweets for my youngest grandchild because she had said it was her birthday. Would definitely go back both to the hotel and restaurant.

Came here tonight with my daughter and friend and will be the last time , absolutely appalled at the service and what was served up , ordered my daughter a meal it came out and there was 5 chips on the plate now this was a 12.99 adults meal how they think that’s acceptable is beyond me we complained to someone who I think was a manager , how she got that title I don’t know as she was as much use as half a scissor, anyway ordered puddings and that was chocolate brownie that came out frozen so complained again ! Appalling service rubbish food and rubbish management , avoid !!!

Chain pub so you know what you’re going to get. Service was excellent. Tara very helpful when I ordered and food arrived quickly, ideal after a long day and drive.

We always stay at the premier inn for business and regularly have drinks before heading out for dinner. The staff are awesome and always attentive, happy and eager to help. Disappointing visit. Been coming here for ages but today they were very busy and had run out of mushrooms, croissants, pancakes and most of the buffet was empty, had to get kids sorted and then go back 10 mins later to get mine.They seem rushed off their feet and were using people out of the play centre to help clear up.Food decent for the price especially as kids eat free and usually I've generally always had decent service so hopefully just an isolated incident.

Came to the lockeeper today and I have to say what an outstanding service from Shania, charlotte in play, James f, Natalie and lataya food was delicious and the children loved the play area will defo return.

From start to finish what an enjoyable experience. Greeted at the door by Tara with a warm welcome and a smile, to being seated, drink and food order placed with ease and efficiency, check back on table during the meal and then cleared away with after service of equally High standards. Faultless, friendly, polite and professional service throughout. Would High recommend visiting for not only the quality of food, for the cost effectiveness but also for the attention to detail clearly demonstrated by Tara today. Completely our pleasure and will definitely return.

I visit the Lock Keeper with my children this morning for breakfast, I cannot fault it! Service was excellent despite it being very busy. The food was hot, tasty and well replenished. The children loved the continental option as well as the hot food. Unlimited coffee & soft drinks went down a treat. A brilliant breakfast!

Ordered 2 kids Sausage and mash. Awful. Really tiny portions. Kids had to "cut" the mash as it was a solid block. Kids took one bite and didn't want it. Came with Veg sticks, carrot and cucumber! Carot with mash yep..but cucumber?? Corn on the cob which was green. A really small slice. Service was awful. Took ages to pay to get in as there was no staff. After an age we finally paid. No member of staff to keep an eye on the kids playing, no supervision at all! The young girl seem to spend more time in the kitchen than in the kids area.

Agreed about kids food being awful and small portions. Not value for money. But the lady behind the bar called Sophie was outstanding. She is a credit to the restaurant. 5 starts is for Sophie not the food. Food got one star

Called for a meal today it's normally our go-to when we want a quick meal and never had any issues prior always enjoyed it but today was not pleasant with rubbery chicken, the salad was off and the caramel apple Betty was microwaved and floppy just overall disappointed.

We came for breakfast and One of our party is coeliac and is wary of eating out. The staff were very accommodating and informative which put her at ease. The selection available was plentiful and well worth the £9.50 for an all you can eat full breakfast. Added bonus of refill Costa coffee. We will be returning so thank you.

Arrived to breakfast this morning with family. Having sat down and looked at the menu theres only 2 options full continental or full continental with english breakfast. I have dietary requirements which means i could only eat a english breakfast. there's nothing on the continental that i could have other than fruit which i explained to the much disinterested manager natalie. I was happy to pay for a childs meal which ment i could just have a english breakfast without the cost of a continental that i cant eat. To then be met with rude unhelpful options of a coffee if i cant afford to pay out for something i cannot eat. Myself and my family who come regular for lunchtime but myself nor my family will not be returning. Many other places will offer better options for dietary requirements at the managements discretion.

I have been going here for years at least once a month with my family for breakfast , this morning was turned away as apparently they have a shortage of food , as a large group of pub chain how can this happen , you have lost my custom totally now ,

Breakfast is until 11am on a Sunday. We walked in at 10.30 only to be told there was no tables for walk ins as there was little food left and what was left is for booked tables only. After looking around the restaurant it wasn’t even busy and they could have accommodated us very easily.

Lottie was super helpful and went above and beyond for Daisys first birthday. Brought her pudding out with a candle that made my evening. Any issues corrected promptly and food was enjoyed by all! Thanks again will be coming back!

We came for our annual Christmas get together. The festive menu was excellent and hot, probably the best we’ve had. But the festive bingo topped our day off, plus we won. We had such a fab time and will definitely be back next year. A special thanks to James f (our bingo caller) and to all the team.

The food was absolutely terrible, paid nearly 12 pound for a burger, on receiving it found 2 things missing, returned it, they just added a very small crusty piece of bacon an a blob of sauce and bought it back to me. I wouldn't have paid a fiver for what I had. Very poor value. Had to get a refund in the end.

Treated the kids to a meal at Lock Keeper after school and a few hours in the play area. The food amazing and great service by Ashleigh in play even over all the noise coming from the kids playing. Will definitely be coming back here.

Our Trip was awful! I felt it was expensive for what we got. They didn’t have half of menu and the pudding list was in a scrap of paper. Our sons children’s menu was barely anything on the plate, with a corn on the cob no bigger than 5cm and the end so he couldn’t eat it. Veg sticks which had seen better days and he got about 5 chips. We got about 2 more chips, a scraping of coleslaw and the burgers that wasn’t great. The glasses for the refills were tiny, really scratched and ours were different from the ladies before who got tall coke ones, when I asked I was told these were the only ones. However I then watched her give coke ones to others. Never ever again!

I came in tonight for food and found everything to be fantastic. I was greeted by Lottie and Tara who were really welcoming, I later spoke to Jess and Colleen who were equally fab :) The food was delicious and arrived quickly, thank you all!

Had an amazing evening with friends and the kids for the Halloween party in the play area. Was greeted by Claire and Jess on entry then Shania who was working in the play area was lovely. Natalie bought our food which was delicious and hot.All staff were very friendly, food was great, the kids had lots of fun and enjoyed the complimentary sweets. We came for Sunday lunch on October 24th it was lovely as soon as we entered we were greeted by Tara she met us with a lovely smile and a nice welcome she took me and my husband to our table explaining what to do with ordering our meal and having drinks etc she kept coming to our table checking we were ok and if our food was ok which it was when we finished our lunch and went to pay Tara was there again she is so lovely a asset to you We had the carvery which was nice and hot we were helped by a young man on this section ( I'm sorry I didn't get his name but you will know his name im sure ) In all we had a lovely lunch and the service was exceptional thankyou Tara we will definitely be back would highly recommend
