We go Tuesdays and Fridays. We are served by Jo and Tracy. You could not ask for better service and brilliant atmosphere they create. We have never had a bad meal in all the time we have been going.

Had a fantastic Gyros at The Highfield! Really tasty and fresh, the staff were super friendly especially Chris the PM. He made us feel really welcome and valued in the pub. We will definitely be returning and have already recommended to multiple people! 10/10!

Was super impressed the PM knew the correct pronunciation of Gyros… will be back to hear him speak Greek to me again! Yamas!

Came down on my way to work to try their breakfasts, since I enjoyed my last visit so much. It didn’t disappoint again! The food was hot, great quality and very cheap for what you get. Haven’t had a bad visit yet!

Could not put any fault at all, ordered 3 meals, x2 rib & rumps 1 was upgraded to 8oz & also an 8oz rump on its own, cooked to perfection 10 out of 10

Not high and not in a field. Nevertheless, very much enjoyed the place. The manager (I believe it was) who served me was the GOAT with a goatee.

Great meals at a good price, plenty of choice.

There are plenty of better pubs. Looks good from the outside, but inside is not so great. Price of beer was slightly below average, it was a good pint too.

Found this place on Google as it's kids eat for £1 with a paying adult and we needed some lunch. Very spacious inside, I like how the tables aren't too close together. We ordered fish and chips, gammon and chips and childs all day breakfast, best pub food we've had in a long time! Wasn't waiting long and the food came out piping hot! Value for money and they also accept my Biue Light discount. The lady with the dark hair on the bar was really helpful! Would have been 5 stars for service but the other lady wasn't as polite and looked like she didn't want to be there. Will definitely return again! Highly recommend!

Called in for a meal and a few pints, the meal was extremely good and cooked perfectly. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and i would recommend the place.

Really good full English breakfast, very good value. Nice surroundings and friendly staff. This pub also does vegan options which my daughter and son-in-law enjoyed. The issue is that they don't serve alternative milk and margerine, only cow's milk and butter with the breakfast. Surely if offering vegan options, alternative milk and non dairy spread should be available? Just think it's strange. Maybe something that could be considered please?

Only expected a good time and meals and turned out to be an absolutely great evening out, service , food and Real ale was just great, I Will certainly be there again and I will be recommending to everyone I know how much we enjoyed the experience, Thanks again Guys.

Village pub. Great steaks, Reasonably priced.

The food was luke warm there had to warm it up ...the lasagne was burnt around the edge, the garlic bread was rock hard they was no service, we had to order from the bar one girl bought our food out then we had ti take the plate to the bar to show them it was cold as no staff was around. The atmosphere.....very cold. Will never go back.

Quick pub meal with my kids and husband. Food was good and a decent price. Kids meals are quite small so if you have children that are between kids and adult portions I’d go for an adult meal! Staff were friendly too

A lovely pub with a lovely outdoor seating also a sports area with a pool table an array of beverages avaliable, the cocktails went down a treat. The service is brilliant with staff always polite and pleasant 😀. Food is always lovely with many offerings from salad bowls, steaks and pub classics (bangers and mash, fish and chips etc.) My only gripe would be having whole mushrooms on your plate it just looks so unappealing and just spoils the dish so please if you can make your plates more polished by using sliced mushrooms you'd definitely deserve that 5🌟

Great pub ,we meet our friends here every so often. This week we decided to try out the vegan options as my partner and I are both vegan. So we thought it would be nice for us all to eat together. I had a dhansak curry with nann bread and rice,which was really tasty. My partner had the vegan ribs in BBQ sauce with potatoes. We really enjoyed both meals,but find it really annoying that there are no vegan wines on offer to accompany our meals. If you're going to the trouble of putting vegan options on your menu,then some options of wine would be really welcome. A bottle of wine also works out cheaper. Just a small gripe ,food was good ,but let's see at least a couple of wine options.

Customer service was great. The lady behind the bar was lovely and kind. Smile during service and happy to help. You don't always get it.

Table booked for 7.15 pm. Shown to the table, we started with a red wine and cup of tea which was luke warm. Starter was simple onion rings ( poorly cooked and under cooked plus luke warm again). I ordered a mix grill, chips were totally shocking and probably microwave. Chicken felt under cooked, asked for steak to be well done, it was also under cooked. Gammon and sausage were ok but everything was luke warm. I think you need a new chef and staff which actually care that customers aren't happy with there meal. Totally waste of money and a evening... Thank you for nothing I'll never return...

The food was extremely bland, fatty and expensive for what it is, none of the staff even asked if we wanted condiments or told us where they were. I’d also pre ordered a dessert and was told I’d have to choose a different dessert once we’d arrived by a friend as the Highfield were changing their menu, yet no member of staff actually asked me what I wanted. Whilst my friends were eating their desserts I had to sit and wait for mine and then eat once they had all finished. As well as this, I didn’t actually get to choose what I’d of liked for dessert, it was just assumed by the server at the bar that I wanted a particular dessert (which I didn’t actually like) the young girl who came to the table on multiple occasions was lovely but the manager (Ellie?) seemed extremely bolshie with a bad attitude and was completely unapproachable.

My first and last visit. The reserved table was NOT reserved. The gammon was rock hard. The peas were not garden peas and were like bullets. Very poor.

Went for breakfast, served till 12. Good range in breakfast menu & good price. Bottomless tea, coffee, toast. Didn't need more toast as ample breakfast. 2 of us dined

had a lovely time here last night, food and service was amazing, the only slight disappointment was that we had booked for a group of 24 around 3 weeks ago but when we got there they hadn’t put the tables out so we could all sit as a family, instead we was all seated away from each other and didn’t feel like we was there as a group

1st time we visited. Decided to dine in on Sunday, The food was amazing, Highly Recommended is the Sirloin steak on that Sizzler!! Reasonably priced, and The Staff were very friendly, finished with a few games of pool and a win on the slots!! Bonus 👌

Varied menu . Had to have steak swapped due to lots of chewy meat. Staff very helpful about this. Food served very hot which is good. Staff pleasant and helpful. Update Jan 2024 very busy but were sat as requested in quiet area. Had to have steak redone as chewy and fatty. Mixed grill very good. Chips could have been hotter.

Staff could not have been more friendly and helpful. Food was great. We had a rump steak and a sirloin steak: both were tender and tasty (just that the one we ordered well done was medium, and the one we ordered medium was medium-rare).
