The best restaurants in Central Boston East Midlands

Visited as a pre Christmas treat, we hadn’t booked so I asked at the bar if they were serving food to which the young lady replied I’m not sure, maybe but not certain, she then just stood there I replied well if you don’t know I’m sure I don’t, she then sent me off else where to find out. I booked a table for two and returned about 30 minutes later. Waitress took our order and a jug of water arrived at the table. Food was brought to the table and just plonked in front of us no communication no offer of condiments so I had to leave the table and ask at the bar. They came eventually although we had eaten some of the meal. After finishing the main we then sat for 40 minutes waiting for the table to be cleared and a dessert menu to be offered, nothing happened so again I went to the bar to ask. As an apology a sweet was offered. I found the service absolutely awful I think there are too many untrained staff members. Totally shocked to find out we had a service charge added to the bill, I don’t mind paying when the service has been good but the service was far from good. I have sent a complaint into them but that was over a week ago and I’ve had no reply so the poor service continues.

Possibly a bad night but the two portions of Lamb Tikka which arrived late were hated by both diners as it was rock hard and tough even when cut with difficulty Told when complaining that noone had ever complained before and it was perfect and as it should be. . .. what? Supposed to be inedible?this arrogance really annoyed us.If this was a first ever complaint a refund should have been offered not a denial and rudeness. I will not be trying them again Good reviews are their old reviews Some say it's gone downhill since then.

Very friendly staff, quick and helpful. You can’t complain about the food, there’s a nice variety on, and always stocked up. Only complaint was that it was very cold sat in the restaurant, the tables are glass top so these felt even colder. But general service and food, couldn’t complain for a nice, local buffet. Affordable price too, there was 3 of us adults, and for 3 x buffet and 3 x soft drinks it come to £59 and a few pennies which I think was affordable for £20 each, all you can eat. Thank you! Would visit again.

Went this evening 10th June 23, we have friends coming over next week and was looking for places to visit with them. What an absolute s**t hole The beer tasted like vinegar, children in the bar, no evidence of food being served. The place was utterly filthy cobwebs stained brown they were that old. We should have taken heed before we went in, we commented on all the dead hanging baskets. Didn’t finish our drinks, husband left his because it was so bad. Avoid at all costs, I don’t understand why so many good reviews it’s awful, in fairness we didn’t sample the food. Woman behind the bar was pleasant enough.

In Boston overnight and wandering around the town. Discovered Casa Filipina. We had two chicken dishes, one a grill and one curry. Delicate flavours. Finished off with banana fritters. Very good value and lovely staff.

the cinnamon swirls are just too good, everything is made fresh that day from scratch and the staff are very hardworking and efficient. very friendly people serving every time I visit

A professional outfit, food and staff very good. Never had any problems and have visited often. Good parking 50 yards away

Although a busy time I was served by friendly staff and the food was served very quickly and was spot on at a remarkable price. Wsatherspoons have identified exactly what people want and this pub delivered it perfectly. Also a great view of the river.

Brilliant service late at night had a generous freshly cooked hot fish and chip supper after a long day. Thanks for looking after me.

Always a great dinner for family and friends Fillet steak is delicious as is the garlic bread Been going here for many years and not had a problem with the food!

We booked for 18th January just for a quick meal out. We have only eaten there once before but the food was good and the service very friendly. Raj served us and was very attentive and in just friendly in general. If you fancy a nice Indian with friendly service this is the place to go locally.

Don't bother with this place for a Indian there's far better in the town ,, this is absolutely garbage nothing about it tastes like a Indian takeaway

Breakfast was phenomenal, eggs were cooked to absolute perfection for how I like them. Would definitely visit again. The two people working behind the bar were very friendly and knowledgeable

Good food but not worth waiting 2.5 hours for with no communication of any delays. Better Chinese takeaways in the area with better customer service.
