The best restaurants in Central Boston East Midlands

I was so impressed with previous meals here that I took some relatives, who are vegan, to have a meal at Spice Village. Oneill and his wife were as charming and welcoming as ever. They had prepared a superb vegan meal of falafel for us all, which is the best I've ever had and my guests loved it! To make a fabulous meal even better, the price was brilliant. I do believe that Spice Village is Boston's Best kept secret; certainly the best Indian restaurant for miles around.

Sandra’s Kitchen is a hidden Gem in Boston. Blink and you might miss it! From appearances, it looks like a café you could just walk by. Even step inside you may wonder? Never mind the TV on a Portuguese channel, or how few people inside. Sandra’s cooking is amazing beyond what you can imagine for the value and cheap prices on the menu. She’s Portuguese and it’s Portugues cuisine. But order any steak and it’ll be cooked exactly as you might hope. The seafood is also excellent. The food is all fresh and freshly cooked. while you wait, and you expect to be very pleasantly surprised not just in taste by portion and price far too cheap! I don’t know how she does it. I’m American, but been in England 30 years. I’m quite critical when it comes to steaks, especially in the UK! But the best T-bone steak I ever had was in this restaurant, and it was huge! I was shocked it was fraction of the price anywhere else! I’ve paid 2- 3 times as much in fine restaurants and been very disappointed, not here. so if you wanna incredible meal and amazing price and don’t need a fancy restaurant to eat in, then this is the place you must try in Boston!

Since 2009 i came to Boston and I know this cafe, but lately all changed and it looks really good, and food amazing. Come have a try

Ordered takeout, order was wrong. Received the wrong dish. If you spend over £24 free beer didn’t get. Collect & you get free onion bhaji didn’t get. Called spoke to 3 different people. Said they would refund, had to give them my address but the lady couldn’t hear me. Gave up & ended the call. Will never go back. The food is edible but nothing special.

We had our second meal from Thai House Takeaway tonight. Another beautiful, tasty and good value meal cooked to order for us. We didn’t know what a treasure we had on our doorstep. Wow just wow. Fabulous authentic Turkish food, some of the best I have ever had. Kitchen in middle of restaurant so able to see food being prepared. Had the liver starter and my son had the garlic sausage, then we both shared the mixed grill. Beautiful lamb, chicken and kofte. Portion plenty but just right. Finished off with home made baclava Faultless. From service to quality of the food. I am coming back very soon

My partner is a fisherman and we brought a static caravan a few miles away so the first visit we went to look at the lakes and had lunch in the cafe, the food was amazing, there is no such thing as a small helping the portions are huge, we went for tea tonight and it was pie night, the pies are all home made and delicious, plus they do proper chips, so if you have a good appetite, like value for money and love great service from the friendly helpful staff this cafe has it all

Terrific on every level. From the extremely friendly, welcoming welcome to equally friendly goodbye, this was a pleasure. Large portions of delicious food, terrific service, really good ambience. Also, really good value for money.

This is a take away only. They only take cash. It was busy but we had our food within 15 minutes. The food was lovely. The noodles in the chowmein were crispy and not soggy. We particularly enjoyed the chicken with pineapple. Servings were of a good size.

The food was as lovely as ever, as we had moved away we had not visited for a fes years & the food is as good as ever. Sorry to hear you are closing we wish you all the best gor the future.

This is a really nice place, But, the food comes a long time after the drinks. It's nice to have your snack with your drink, not after you have finished it. This cafe could be so much better with just a little bit more care and attention to the little things. Such as, the menu's are in need of replacing for wipe clean ones or new ones, they look very dingy. The table was covered in crumbs, so obviously not cleaned after last customer. It's such a shame because it could be so much better, which would encourage many more customers.
