We had our second meal from Thai House Takeaway tonight. Another beautiful, tasty and good value meal cooked to order for us. We didn’t know what a treasure we had on our doorstep. We will certainly be regular customers, with the quality of the food, and friendly, helpful staff.” Thank- you again!” For a lovely meal. We look forward to trying other dishes very soon too. We would highly recommend the Thai Green chicken curry, and the Sweet & Sour Chicken. Please come and try some for yourself too.

First time here, as we have just moved into the area. Posh it isn't, but we have been spoilt by the choice in the big City where we used to live. It is however well cooked tasty food. Obviously a more limited choice for the Sunday buffet. Perfectly adequate and also a reasonable choice of cakes. Staff are pleasant and friendly. We would definitely return.

Used the train for a day in Skegness and then finished the trip with dinner at the station!. I have never been here before and we based our choice on previous reviews. Totally not dissapointed. This restaurant serves excellent home cooked Thai food and is family run. We had the best ever green curry and the amount of food served was more than plentiful. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant to anyone. If we are in the Boston vicinity, I would go out of my way to eat here again,

Terrific food- as flavourful and fresh asI have ever tasted. Large portions and authentic flavours in an interesting location so easy to find as it is part of the station. We needed to take some home as we had quite a lot left, which was an added bonus. Prompt order taking and all the food arrived hot and was put on candle heaters. We live in Torquay- please open a branch down here!

It was my parent's 57th Wedding anniversary last night and we ordered takeaway from this restaurant to celebrate. The food was brilliant! We are Thai so we know authentic Thai food when we taste it, this was the real deal!!! The Massaman curry was delicious as was the Pad Thai and Krapow. We took several dishes and the price was more then reasonable for such good quality of food. So glad we found this place as it will become a regular on our list of favourite restaurants.

We had a takeaway from here last night 22/05/20. The telephone service was great. The delivery service was great. Now to the food from heaven. We had the mix starter.it was out of this world. Full of flavour. And not too much spice for me. The main meal was just as wonderful. Full of flavour. Real enjoyment. And this was a take way can not wait for the restaurant to open going to be like 7 of 5 on the rating. Thank you for a love meal.

We love Chinese food very much but never tried Thai. We have now visited the restaurant twice having been first introduced to Thai food by friends of ours. I really can not praise the quality of the food enough. The dishes were well presented, the ingredients fresh and lovingly prepared. The food was an exquisite attack in the culinary senses .... The restaurant was very clean , tidy and well decorated. I note the furniture has just recently been renewed and the pictures look superb. The service is excellent , attentive my without being aver bearing . The buffet Evening are a true feast and an excellent opportunity to try new dishes . We prefer the latest sitting ... We have already booked for our next visit which we look forward to immensely . I'm certain the restaurants atmosphere will have been enhanced but the recent changes . But for us the quality of the food , service and atmosphere are first class... Do,yourself a favour and try it !

A group of ex-colleagues from Skegness meet up regularly for a catch up. On this occasion we booked the Thai House on Boston Railway Station. If you inform them in advance, they will be ready for you when you alight the 17:30 train from Skegness when it arrives in Boston at 18:03. They will also ensure you are fed and watered before the return train at 20:12. The food was exceptional! Every dish was cooked perfectly! We had a truly memorable evening and we would all recommend the restaurant to everyone.

It’s under new ownership, although many of the staff that used to be there are still resident. The new owners have taken a very pragmatic view of the business and have reduced the menu variety and also the cost of meals whilst maintaining and even perhaps increasing the portion size. Initially we visited on one of the non monthly buffet style nights, and were impressed; impressed to the point that we booked for the buffet night. That particular buffet night wasn’t so good, the variety of food even more limited and at times either not available or cold, although not be fair it was the first one and we did see improvement at the second event, but not enough to tempted us back. We also noticed that the price had increased for this standard meal. We still go to the non buffet night as it is a good, local value for money meal.

I wasn’t sure about what to expect from a restaurant which has established itself in what was originally the waiting room at Boston station, but the owners have done a great job of creating an attractive Thai restaurant in these unexpected surroundings. We went as a family group of 10 for an Easter meal out. My dad, who has been before, warned us that the portion sizes were “generous”, but that proved to be something of an understatement. We ordered one main course per person, but we could have ordered half of that and still been full. We ended up taking a doggy bag containing most of about three dishes home. The food, though, was really good. Very fresh vegetables, spicy where it needed to be, and everything very tasty. I particularly enjoyed the (spicy) chicken Panang, but the prawn dish my sister-in-law had was even better. Unfortunately I have forgotten the name of the dish. But basically it was all so good that it doesn’t really matter what you order. Definitely recommended.

We were staying in Boston for our anniversary weekend and booked here based on Trip Advisor reviews. We actually cancelled another booking to go to the Thai.An hour and 20 minutes in and all we had eaten was our starter. No one came and told us what was happening and we were ignored by staff, other guests were also leaving as they had been there even longer with no food. Dishes were coming out one at a time so people didn't have a full meal to eat all together. In the end we left after only eating starters. Such a shame as the food coming out did look nice but took way to long and the owner was ignoring that there was a problem.

As far as I am concerned this Thai is the only one in Boston that I would go. I have tried the other once but this is the one we frequently revisit. The owner is always pleasent and always remembers you no matter the how long it's been since we last went. The food is spectacular always fresh produce used and is always cooked perfectly I love scallops but I always wary about ordering them as they are very easily overcooked but every time I have them there they are cooked to perfection. The food is very well prepared and presented and very colourful. We are yet to find anything bad about the restaurant. The atmosphere is equally pleasant it's quite and calm no matter how busy it is and you easily relax into the environment. We always look forward to a meal here.

We went with our expectations quite high. But we were soon beginning to wish we wasn't their,The gentleman behind the bar and waitress es were nice polite,We was asked for drinks orders and they brought some prawn crackers, more like a Chinese, no dipping sauce First course we ordered mixed starter,The prawn & spring roll & sesame prawn toast was burnt and totally over cookedProbably due to the oil being old and to hot,2nd course tom ka chicken soup-- totally overloaded with onion & way to much fish stock,Ok let's start again ,main course let it be good (please) Thinking that I'd ordered lightly battered chicken with cashew nuts in birds basket,And Thai green curryThe waitress brought green curry that was swimming in oil and full off carrot,And the chicken--well was rubbish all the cashew nuts was totally burnt,That was the first and last time I will visit,Awful doesn't come close I called the waitress over and asked for I also spoke with the guy behind bar and explained everything to which he looked quite shocked He made a joke saying he would divorce his wife , stating she was the chef,Sorry guys But the experience was one to forget , very very poor for Thai Would not recommend!!! Came across this restaurant by chance as my Husband and I had a night out without the 6 year old to grab a bite to eat before the cinema.. We do not live near Boston but were here on a child drop off so didn't have a clue where to go. Quick search and we found this place..On pulling up it looked empty and I was a bit sceptical - no atmosphere/maybe not good? But we decided we would give it a go as we could always walk out... I am so glad we did give it a try!The food was beautifully presented and service was quiet and efficient. It wasn't long before we were no longer on our own as I'm sure word is out there that this is a good place to go.I had well prepared scallops in a lovely flavoured sauce and coconut rice for main and my Husband had duck with rice. It's not cheap but you get what you pay for I suppose! However, Hubby's duck was definitely not scrimped on so worth the money and I had at least 6 fat scallops and roes. My only request a few more vegetables with the dish rather than the lovely sculptured carrot flower on the side would be good.Good mixed starter and Tiger beer so result.. I felt comfortably full at the end; with a sense of eating a flavour filled meal rather than over cooked meat with gloopy soy laden sauces and dry rice. The building is also worth a look and adds to the restaurant atmosphere as it looks like the old train station. Lovely wooden carvings and orchids. Will definitely go back when we are in Boston and have told a number of people about the restaurant. Here's hoping it goes from strength to strength..

I have visited many Thai restaurants, and have an appetite for Thai food. I am happy to say this restaurant was aesthetically pleasing and beautiful inside. Owner greeted me promptly and was very polite and chatty. At this point I was excited for my food, however when I arrived home I was disappointed. My stir fry (rated 2 chilli on the menu) appeared to have NO fresh chilli in. The stir fry consisted of, burnt onion, peppers and chicken. That is all, and was extremely watery, no flavour at all, not like a Thai stir fry should be. Chicken was also chewy and was bland in flavour. I didn't not even finish my meal. Egg fried rice was OK, nothing special. £3.00 for a small tub, which is quite pricey. I shall not be visiting again, and I'm not sure why people have rated this restaurant high in food quality, it is extremely poor.

Having lived in Thailand for several years I am generally disappointed with most Thai food I get in the UK. The Thai House in Boston was an extremely pleasant surprise. The food was great - tasty with full Thai flavours and made from fresh ingredients. We had both stir-fry and noodle dishes, both of which were done well. My only (slight) criticism is that the Tom Kha Gai (chicken coconut and galangal soup) we ordered seemed more like a Tom Yum style soup, with no coconut milk base. It was still extremely tasty, so no points lost for that! Finally the service was friendly and extremely efficient and the restaurant itself, in the old Boston railway station building has loads of character.

If the choice is between an evening watching a one eyed yellow bear on TV, and eating out, always chose eating eat out; especially if it is at the Thai House restaurant in Boston. With so many good comments about this place it is easy to understand why so many of the tables were reserved. The evening started with a warm welcome from the owner, the food was served by the friendly but quite / unobtrusive staff and as usual filled and sated us both. Most the trip advisor comments make the points that the food is good, we would certainly not disagree, there is still the slight negative of the choice of only three deserts, but in truth by the evening end we couldn’t manage a dessert anyway. Oh and the drinks prices have gone up again.

First time visit here with my little group of girls (4 of us this time) for the monthly "girls night out#... Left a msg on the answer machine as I booked when the management were on holiday.. risky... But I was pleased when I got a call back (on the day they said they would be back) confirming my booking and a very nice 'we look forward to seeing you' msg. On entering the restaurant you can see straight into the kitchen and we were greeted and seated straight away with very happy smiling faces of a waitress and the manager.... Orders were taken for drinks (very good rose and white served here) one of my party ordered a bottle as she was drinking (this was an excellent way of saving a few pennies instead of ordering glass after glass) which were brought swiftly to the table (hers in a wine cooler) and menus were left for our perusal. After about 15 minutes our waitress took our order and on being asked what she would recommend asked what type of food do I like.. Spicy or hot etc to which she obligingly responded with three choices for me (as I like spicy but not too hot) I chose the salmon.. My friends ordered beef.. Pork.. and my small appetite diner ordered the soup... We each ordered an appetiser... Dumplings, spring rolls and the chicken satay and asked for it all to come out together as we like to share our food experiences with each other (picture if you will puppies that are faced with a mountain of food and don't know where to start) as after only a short wait.... Long enough to finish our first drinks and have them refreshed by the very attentive manager... The food was ready.... Freshly cooked and dressed with the most beautiful veg decoration (see pics) I've never had my food hand carved into flowers before but I highly recommend it..... Well, everything was tried, and the table was quiet for quite a bit... And that is an indication of the quality of this lovely restaurant I'm my eyes... 4 women... Good food... Wonderful ambiance, with the wooden carvings on the wall and silence whilst food was being consumed.... Everything ordered tasted wonderful. The only little let down about this place if I'm honest is the tiny choice of pud... Now... Before you say I'm being picky.. I am the pudding g lover in our group... The others can take it of leave it but I love a good pud and choose g from a selection of 3 items was a little bit of a let down... But as I had not experienced Thai egg custard before one of my dining companions agreed to order that as she had and liked it and I would go for the icecream a d we would share.... Well... I came to the quick conclusion they should do icecream and egg custard of the menu as a "together pud"because it was awesome when me and my mate shared.. Vanilla ice cream for me instead of chocolate with strawberry sauce and a whole cherry on top and the egg custard is served hot in two slab like forms... Lush.Coffees were on tap (4 for me) to chat away the evening.. As the other diners left we were made to feel there was no rush and the manager pottered around as we chatted.... The bill was roughly £40 each for the piggies who had 3 courses and drinks and coffees but the modest diner among us only spent £20 and I'm positive it was worth every penny. I highly recommend this restaurant for intimate dining and group adult dining as there is plenty of room and a further dining space for overflow to the right as you enter the building..I think mums n dads would struggle to find little ones something as there isn't a chip or burger on the menu and no sign of a chicken nugget, but don't let that put you off.. There is a beautiful coconut rice with peas and egg fried rice with spring onion and also noodle dishes if your little one is up for new experiences... Plenty of car parking space being attached to the railway station.. And taxis readily available just outside the door for those of us who like a bottle or two with our dinners. I hope you have enjoyed my review... Dont forget to look at the pics... And those were just the starters.

Better of the two Thai restaurants in Boston with nice décor and friendly service but main courses just chopped vegetables and what ever meat you order in different hot salty thin sauce, typical Thai food, expensive stir-fry. The starters weren't bad but you can get equivalent from the supermarket. Drinks prices getting a little steep and desserts uninspiring, tinned fruit or ice cream. probably won't bother again.

Although I have lived in Boston for a number of years I have only just tried this restaurant for some reason. Perhaps just too involved with other 'favourite' places. Well what a revelation it was. Stunning freshly prepared food, utterly delightful. Indeed, it was so wonderful I had a takeaway the following evening too. The food was equally delightful and well made. I had the vegetable green curry and mixed vegetable fried rice. The curry was just amazing, a real chilli heat to it without ruining the taste. There were six of us eating on my first visit. We had starters, main meals and a few of us had dessert to share, two bottles of wine and a number of beers and it worked out at £30 per head. My takeaway was only £12.50 the following evening .I will definitely be eating their food again without doubt. My new find...at last!

Meal ok, ran out of required desert - don't go in winter, heating not very efficient, room very cold or wear extra thick jumpers.

Visited on a Saturday evening with friends and we all thoroughly enjoyed the warm welcome, beautiful food, relaxed ambience, attentive though not intrusive service and fresh, aromatic and flavourful ingredients. This was not the first time we've dined here and it certainly won't be the last.

Charming little Thai Restaurant located at the railway station in Boston. Lovely service and charming environment. The food (we opted for the set menu for 2) was clearly from very fresh ingredient and freshly prepared. The starters were excellent, with a nice selection in the main course the green curry was rather hot (plenty of chilli's in there) but well balanced out with chicken and vegetables in oyster sauce and stir fry vegetables in soy and steamed rice. Desert was a choice of Thai egg custard Lychee or ice cream. Portions were generous and what we couldn't fit in was kindly packaged up to take home.

Our third visit within the last 12 months, we introduced our friends to this restaurant. The food is outstanding, we all enjoyed the meal. The service was also very good, this is at the more expensive end for this area, (£140.00 for 4) so bear that in mind. It is very good and fairly intimate with only 6 or 7 tables in the main dining area.

Had our first visit here last week food was lovely priced right it was quiet and lacked a bit of atmosphere but that was only because it was quiet. Everything must be cooked fresh as we altered dishes which was no problem and very friendly will be back.

This was my second visit to the restaurant and had learned not to fill up on starters. Quality of the cooking was excellent. The chef knows not to overpower with spices but to use them appropriately and to let good food speak for itself. We tried 6 different dishes and all were enjoyed. You will not leave feeling hungry! Service was unobtrusive but there when you wanted it. The only fault is that they do not have a range of drinks to cater for those who do not want alcohol.

Booked an early table for 4 on Valentines day, arrived at 6pm greeted and seated very pleasant and chatty. Given menus and ordered drinks, usual prawn crackers and dips. Menu is not extensive but normal dishes found, had starters and mains satay, duck toasts, and fish cakes these were a little dry and over cooked. Mains Thai red curry, sweet and sour chicken, and beef massaman, plus coconut rice. Thought the dishes lacked depth of flavour, but service and staff very pleasant. Children had desserts, pineapple fritter and apple fritter, took an age to arrive, but restaurant full of couples so a little stretched. Overall a little pricey for Boston but with easy parking, good service and a nice atmosphere we will give it another try.

Really nice welcoming place. Cannot fault the service. The food was bland and had little taste of the Thai flavours. The food could also have done to be hotter.

The food here is beautiful better than many other thai restaurants we have tried all tasting really fresh and the spices weren`t over powering. The staff are really welcoming especially helping to organise a table for us as I was on crouches. It has a calm and quiet atmosphere too which is nice for couples.

This small Thai restaurant can be found in a cul de sac leading to the railway station, in fact, it is part of the station structure. We went there on a mid-week early evening in October - there was parking outside and, should you want it, a table with a view of the platform and tracks. We were warmly welcomed and throughout the service was friendly, attentive without being intrusive, and efficient. The menu was quite extensive with a good range of Thai dishes offered at very reasonable prices. We found the vegetables fresh and lightly cooked, infusing the dishes with flavour and texture. Meals were clearly labelled with 'heat level' and there was a good selection of vegetarian dishes. All in all we had a very pleasant evening meal and will undoubtedly return next time we are in Boston.

I really enjoyed our meal here. We had chicken and satay skewers to start and I had Pad Thai (chicken) and my partner had some king prawn dish (sorry I cant remember) the food came out quickly even though we could see the restaurant had many people inside. The waitress was lovely and very helpful. I have travelled abroad to Asia and can honestly say the food took me back there in a second. Recommend the restaurant to others who love Thai food.

Three of us visited the restaurant for a sit-in meal. The restaurant is clean, there is a calming atmosphere - a nice relaxed setting for a relaxed meal. The food is full of flavour, well presented, and portion sizes are adequate - we had never tried Thai food before and was wary in case it was too spicy or hot, but the menu is clear in detailing which dishes are spicy and those which are not. There is plenty of choice and variety on the menu. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be visiting again, might try a takeaway next time and see if it is as good. Cannot fault the value or service, a very enjoyable experience.

Not going to lie, pulling up outside the train station we did question if we had got the right place! Inside we were made to feel welcome even though there were no tables, staff endeavoured to seat us and they managed to and so glad they did!Everything on offer tasted great, just on the right side of spicy, well presented, staff are lovely, manager Paul is a real gem. Really hope this place does well, it deserves to.

Lost count of how many times we've been here for a meal, we've never been disappointed at all. The food, service, ambience and friendliness of the staff is truly fabulous. We love Thai food and when we moved here we werent sure if we'd find as good a thai restaurant as we'd had down south. Well we found this little gem and its better than the one we used to go to! The owner is a lovely man, very genuine & attentive. We reluctantly tried another thai in Boston when the Thai House was closed due to a holiday and we left sorely disappointed. We just wont go anywhere else now when we're craving a Thai meal!

If this restaurant were in the West End of London, it would be full every night. Great food, great service and a quirky venue in a railway station. It's a bit off the beaten track being not in the main town centre, but well worth finding. It's not the cheapest in Boston, but the quality is worth a little extra.

Let's start with the positive. The food was tasty.Sadly everything else was definitely under par. The place lacked atmosphere, there were only 6 customers in on the Saturday evening when we visited, and instead of this meaning we had attentive service the opposite was in fact the case. When the manager did come to our table instead of being warmly welcoming and extolling the virtues of his establishment, he proceeded to whinge and gripe about the lack of customers and how difficult business was proving to be since opening 18 months ago. While the food had lovely flavours one of our 2 main course dishes was served on a plate with at least a third being unwanted garnish. If I had wanted a side salad I would have ordered one. No one checked on how our food was during the meal, and after the meal when our plates were being cleared, we commented on the excessive garnish we were dismissed with the comment, "I will tell the chef". Sadly it wasn't only the service that was lacking, the ladies toilets were lacking toilet paper and no one had bothered to put paper towels in the dispenser. Perhaps at the end of a very busy night these would have been understandable occurrences, but during the first hour and a half of service it was a considerable let down. Can't see us going back for another visit, there are better establishments within easy walking distance.

We're visiting from Leigh-on-Sea and staying in a local airbnb. Our host recommended this restaurant, and she wasn't wrong. We were welcomed by I presume the owner, and he was fun from the start. The food was delicious and served by 2 lovely girls. I can't fault this restaurant it's a proper old-fashioned Indian restaurant as we used to get down South with a free drink after the meal and a cobra with a takeaway. Just lovely! Don't stop what you're doing it works ....thankyou 🙏

Lovely light lunch in Wrangle. Booked late so didn't get best table but still well placed in a safe environment. Enjoyed lovely home made lunches including salad, quiche and sausage pie and smashing cakes. Must have an afternoon tea next time, looked perfect

Visiting the area for the day, we located The Thatched Cottage via Tripadvisor. Booked a table for late lunch. Fortunately a pleasant day as having our furry friend with us we had to sit outside. Our lunch was as good as hoped for; a generous portion of roast lamb, served on a bed of lovely mash, accompanied by red cabbage, yorkshire pud, roasties and apricot stuffing. The sides of creamy blue cheese leeks and trio of carrots, french beans and swede were colourful and tasty. Our meal was served promptly and the half pints of Doom Bar washed our lunch down nicely. Friendly service A thoroughly enjoyable lunch, a good find which we would recommend We may not have booked had it been a cold wet day, delighted it wasn't. Note to TTCR, perhaps look at a doggy owner corner in your bar for diners over the winter months?
