After 3 visits all I can say is, excellent 👍

2nd time here and wasn't disappointed, staff very friendly and service was OK. Booked a 3rd meal so I Hope it's still as good

Had my birthday meal here with 5 friends And it was fantastic lovely food lovely staff will go again.

I have to say the best meal in ages, I really had a great meal the food was to die for and the price was very reasonable, the staff were great too I will be back very soon . This is my new place to go for a meal. Well done .

We went as a family of 7 for a meal on a Monday afternoon.The service was very friendly & good ,the food was amazing!It was really good quality, presentation was spot on & everything tasted so good.We all had desserts too which were delicious.The Black Bull has a very good menu choice at reasonable prices too.They provided our late mum's funeral wake in November which again was a lovely spread of food at a very good price.

The place was lovely and clean even with the football on it was a great atmosphere.

Decent beer selection that changes regularly. Good pub grub, not gastropub, but tasty nonetheless. There's a dedicated eating area in the Lounge or you could choose the Bar area to mingle or play some pool. They have regular live bands with a cross-section of genres.

Proper home cooked Sunday roast at a reasonable price. Friendly, prompt service at table. Lots of fresh veg and well cooked veg. Good serving of pudding. Just what pub food should be

Popular pub we were on holiday so went for a drink, the food coming out looked fabulous we didn't have a meal so rated on what we saw, bar service very good But the Saturday we went we were very close to a fight that occurred but it was soon rectified the lady that sat next to us said this never happens here so we were unlucky but it wouldn't stop us going again

As a member of a local motorcycle club, we meet monthly at this venue. Everything about this place is excellent, the service and food will not be bettered. There is nothing that is too much trouble for the staff. The Bull in Kirton is our monthly treat.

Fantastic place for food, nice friendly atmosphere.

Went for Sunday lunch, arrived just after 2pm,stopped serving 2.30pm, nothing on signs to say this which would be useful. Food was nice and reasonably priced but felt staff uninterested overall until we left and overall not particularly friendly atmosphere.

Popped in for a pint and something to eat, staff looked after me as I was strapped for time and took my order before the kitchen officially opened, the food was tasty and just the right amount, atmosphere was nice. Reasonable prices, have eaten here before and will do again. Thanks for a great experience

This is the last time we try this pub. There were eight of us thinking we could have a nice lunch in the local pub. Fools . Four wanted Chicken Tikka, One Sausage and Mash, One Steak and Salad, One Vegetable Lasagne. One easy -ham, egg and chips. There were "only two bags of rice for the Tikka",!!!! with no suggestions for alternatives were made from the waitress. So two friends had chicken tikka with rice, one with chips and one changed his order to scampi and chips.. There were no apologies at all. After going to find our place mats ourselves as the 'waitress' seemed occupied with something. I can't think what, as there were only another four people that arrived after us. Two Tikka's came with a naan bread each - both as solid as a roof tile, the one without rice had about six chips . My steak arrived with chips, peas, 2 onion rings. I thought I may have someone else's lunch. When I pointed the mistake to the 'waitress' she said "oh well" and walked off. I did not order them as I did not want them - I wanted a salad with the steak, which I think had been cut with a razor it was so thin. The sausages looked screwed up and there were no vegetables but I am not sure if there were any on the menu. The desserts, four wanted Banofee, 2, raspberry roulade. There was only one banofee and one raspberry roulade. The Banofee was on its last legs, obviously the last piece and the roulade was a sgraggy small end. One friend saw the owner/manager and explained to him, ''what do you expect if we are busy'' was his only comment and couldn't care less, really wasn't bothered and just walked off.. We had already paid so was not expecting a reduction but thought he should know and would like to know - if he knew his job. Plenty of other places to spend £30.00 for two for lunch, served with a smile and from waitress' that know what they are there for and a manager that cares about his customers.

Huge portions and delicious meal , dessert menu very difficult to decide on as they all sounded great!

We were staying in the area & were recommended to try here for Sky Sports on TV, We wanted to see a final. We were greeted warmly by the staff & a table was reserved. The locals created a great atmosphere during the match. We stayed after for food which was excellent, along with the beer. Will call in again when around there again.

Great Bar Meal Saturday evening, will be back

They advertise ribs on the menu but on the 3 occasions we have been here they haven't been available. Ordered the sausage and mash today and was very disappointed. 3 tiny overcooked sausages,lots of mashed potatoes but no vegetables at all !!! They then tried to charge us £10.95 per meal when it was clearly advertised on the menu as £9.95. The lady on the bar tried to say that it was an old menu but was unable to find a menu with the new price so was forced to refund us the £2.00 we were overcharged.

Hospitality was great can't say the same for the food sorry

The pub and staff are spot on the food is excellent. Does get packed when something is on and it's a very long wait to get a drink but if its good it's busy

Welcoming local pub serving really good food.

It's a mediocre pub, with average food and uninterested bar staff, wouldn't go again. I had steak pie which wasn't steak it was just beef with an added lid, with twice fried chips peas and salad. It was cheap It's true that you get what you pay for. The woman behind the bar couldn't have been more disinterested, I ordered a drink and she was talking away but not to me to her mates sitting at the table behind me, great customer service! The girl who brought the food was lovely and polite to be fair she was the best thing about the place.

6 of us visited this evening on a girly night out. The food was fab and plenty of it could not fault the service and the friendliness of the staff. Must try their Sunday roast.

Read sigh outside home cooked food !!! Rubbish Microwaved , peas instant potatoes shop pie, disgusting Hard yellow over cooked potatoes, hard peas, shop pie, How can a microwave meal go so wrong? Try employing a cook who can at least manage to press a microwave button.

Went out for the 1st time in nearly 9 years last weekend-yes honestly, and I went to The Bull with some friends. They had a BBQ going which was great. Fabulous atmosphere and friendly staff and people. Lovely night!

Had a Delicious Sunday lunch here with friends. Lovely home cooked food. Extremely reasonably priced. The staff are lovely. If they provided a little area with a sofa/comfy chairs, it would be much more appealing for a single woman. Even better if they opened up one of the fire places. Jst a couple of suggestions to make a lovely pub fantastic.

Exceptional pub, clean, tasty hearty food and very friendly staff. There was a good atmosphere even in mid week! We came here for a family meal, the coffee was very nice and the food wasn't too far behind. While waiting for our food I noticed that the staff were quick at cleaning up tables after customers had eaten and left, the toilets were modern and clean, plenty of sanitiser dotted around the pub and all the customers were happy and having a good time (it was busy even in midweek lunch time). The food was good value for money, presented very well, good portions and tasted fresh. I'm no expert but my children are and their plates were empty. This pub caters for singles, couples and family. The staff should be proud of their service and the chefs for the food that they cook. Our first time here but will now be regulars!

We had Sunday lunch at the Black Bull Inn, the staff were very warm and friendly, we had the carvery menu and the meal was absolutely beautiful. I would recommend a visit as it is highly likely that we will return to eat again.

Manager is very disrespectful over charged for my drinks however still gave me a lipstick stained glass and left a very sour impression as i am a younger person. would not advise this pub

Food was 100% ment to be a family pub but there was some mardy old people moaning about the kids at 1 point the moaners even swore at 1 of the parents of the kids. Good on the dad for standing up to them moaners don't go to a family pub and then moan about kid's being there. Not happy how the worker dealt with the situation defending the moaners. Kid's are Kid's at the end of the day

This doesn’t come from one visit… but several. I have eaten and drank in this pub. I must admit the food I have 0 complaints however the pouring of the Guinness AND customer service is dire. I am stood at the bar furious writing this. I have just commented on the temperature as I am red hot and all I got was a grunt. This is the experience from this time but I might as well take you back to the previous visit where pretty much the same occurred. I am pretty sure they look at me and take it in turns to be mean. Well here I am and there you go. This is me being mean. Please address the attitude. Yours, Mystery Man
