Costa Coffee in Boston

Went in today with my husband for a coffee we both use sticks to get about, anyway I went to the counter order 2 drinks and 2 cakes and was left to struggle with a heavy tray by the very rude staff in the store.... Will never be going back, very poor customer service. No consideration for disabled customers.... too easy for all the staff to hide behind the counter and do nothing.... I recommend everyone goes to skegness or horncastle they are much nicer there

Sat outside at well spaced tables. Service was ok inside although it takes a bit of time. Standard Costa fayre.

The opening hours on google state they are open 7am-6pm. I have been twice now once at 7.30am and 4.30pm and they’ve been closed!

- Rude management and pressuring from the second we have walked in to get a drink. - Lady making the drink dropped one of the cups on the floor, as she picked this up she put it next to the other cup on my order, as if she was going to use it still despite this being on the floor. The only reason she didn’t use this was because she clocked on to me watching her and then binned it and used a new one. Her manager I believe made a comment to the effect of ‘why didn’t you use that’ and her reply was ‘sometimes you have to think what you would like’ and started to laugh. How about it’s disgusting to use something which has been dropped onto a floor full stop?! Overall, for something I don’t usually do it was poor. It’s not only the quality of the drink ordered but also the professionalism of the people who work there, including the manager who from the offset was extremely rude and unapproachable. Overall it was an extremely uncomfortable and poor experience and because of this I will not be stepping foot back into there alongside knowing the potential risks of being served a takeaway drink in a dirty cup dropped on the floor! I would give anyone going in there the advice to make sure you watch your drink being made.. or just avoid in general.

I visited the Boston shop today. I asked for a 'tall' Gingerbread Latte. The Barista said in a blunt /disgruntled tone "Which one's the tall one?" I replied, "The £3.30 one please". I honestly felt like saying forget it, and walking out. I went a few weeks ago, and asked for a pumpkin spice Latte, the same woman said that's Starbucks, not Costa. I felt embarrassed, as I cannot see the menu, why is it so small? I did buy my coffee, only because I get a Blue Light card discount. I will not be visiting this branch again! Customer service skills need brushing up!

I tried out the new coconut flat white with my girlfriend having the hot chocolate version. I also had a cheddar and tomato toastie. The toastie was quick and tasty and the drinks were good value espically the kids hot chocolate. We were able to get a table however ordering drinks was a bit of an effort with the service slightly confused and chaotic.

Recommend drinks, service is lovely, clean place, good staff, I enjoyed sitting in side on an already clean table no mess anywhere.

I visited here on Sunday just gone we were visiting family and I needed my fix lol I run in to grab a medium hot choc cream and marshmallows (of course) and a chicken and bacon toastie to go on arrival the fridge was empty with 2 toastier and 2 drinks there was 3 visible staff I walked to counter and was greeted by a nice male (long hair ) was polite I placed my order and stood to the side to which the short haired lady blonde (larger lady) as there were two short haired she stood and looked me up and down and was very rude to the next customer overall I wouldn’t return to that specific store

Was freezing today here in Boston,so popped into costa coffee to warm up.loved the latte & Ann enjoyed the chai latte.just a great place to rest up before seeing the shops .

Service was very poor and they forgot about our order.We needed to wait at least 20 mins And people after us got their coffee first

Every time we come for a coffee the service is very slow, the coffee is ok but the cake we had was stale ☹️

Coffee always good at Costa but the price of the 'food' is a joke. Paid almost £4 for a panini with one very small slice of cheese and half a piece of bacon. It's about time Costa stopped ripping off it's customers. Will not be eating hot food in a Costa again.

Welcoming staff, good service. Clean and comfortable venue in handy location for shops. Free wifi and of course lovely hot chocolate.

We have been to many Costa's and my wife and I love this one. Not only is the coffee very very good the staff are always chirpy and very friendly . The young lady called Red is always friendly and welcoming and her colleague Paige are a credit to the business. Also great toasters.

The coffee has always been good. The snacks are way over priced, however the place is grubby, the ashtrays outside don't get cleaned regularly, nor do the last persons cup/cups.

Lovely place to go. Great staff always friendly seating outside too centre of town too so great location.

Drinks the same as at any Costa. Furnishings and decorations showing signs of age - threadbare seat coverings, windows grimy, walls scratched. And for a Saturday only one toilet working so long queues. Should do better!

Love costa, as does my daughter it's the one place she likes to go when ever we go anywhere, good drinks we like the fruit coolers, and I would recommend getting a reward card as you can use the points against a drink

I will defiantly go there again in fact I go approx 3 times a week with friends. Excellent coffee and staff all very friendly.

A good cup of coffee, yes, you can get a cheaper Coffee elsewhere, but, I prefer quality to quantity. The taste is always consistent.

You could buy a jar of coffee for what costa coffee charge !! there is better local cafes that sell lovely coffee :)

Nothing wrong with the products available- they are always as described and enjoyable. It's just the delay every time you go in. You are always waiting 10-15 just to get a coffee! I sometimes walk past, see the queue and turn around. I only ever have a coffee or a toastie (as I think costa have ludicrous prices) just need more/quicker staff.

this is a great place to go for a well earned coffee ,with a great mate ,before ,during or after work,to drink in or take away

I've been here several times before. I was going to try another coffee shop today, but having found it had closed I returned to an old favourite.There are seats outside as well as in. On this occasion, despite it being sunny and quite warm, I chose to sit in. Service was prompt and staff pleasant.It was just after 11.00am and Costa was becoming busy with both sit-in and takeaway customers. There appeared to be just three staff on duty including the manager, but despite this customers seemed to be served quite quickly.I was offered an alternative coffee by the staff member who served me. She said Costa was testing a new coffee and were seeking customer feedback. If I wanted to try it but didn't like it, I could then have a coffee of the original blend free. Coffee shops have become quite fashionable with the 'laptop' set as well as seniors with time on their hands (like me!) I was pleased to find that the 'laptop' set was missing as commonly one person hogs a table with just a drink for an unfairly long time whilst enjoying free Wi-Fi. I found a table quickly and found the free Wi-Fi easy to access for a quick email check.I tried the alternative coffee though I wasn't keen on it. I gave my opinion but declined the free coffee. I was impressed to be told that I could have the free coffee another time.I found this Costa outlet a lot better than some I've used in the past. The toilets were cleaner and there was a general air of being cared for. Well done!

I love this costa branch, the staff are always happy and approachable, service here is very quick and the coffee is amazing. Food here is lovely, dont have a single complaint

Nice cafe busy place with friendly happy helpful staff. Speedy service lovely hot freshly toasted toast. Usual Costa high standards

I am partial to the flat whites when I can get a seat. When ever I go to Costa they seem not to be in a rush to serve people. One seems to have to wait a while to be served the lines are always up to the door. At times they don't seem keen to clean away the dirty dishes from the table

Cracking coffee this morning. Served by Tom and Nikki, very helpful and friendly.Lovely coffee and seats comfy! Will return again! Make sure you get a loyalty card you can gain points and earn free food/drinks!

I cannot believe the reviewer who stated that the staff do not seemed to know what they are doing. Quite the opposite. I drink there on a regular basis and always enjoy the atmosphere. If you think the coffee is overpriced go to Oldrids and you realise how good the coffee is,

Wife recently won a gift card for here so entered for my 1st ever Costa likely to be the last. Drinks & cakes we had were pleasant enough and served by nice helpfull young staff.But am amazed how was so busy considering how expensive it is. Very poor value for money, 2 drinks 2 coffees for just under a £10 am not of this coffee shop generation & fail to see attraction of the ever growing number these style shops.Would rather go to Wetherspoons where can get easily as good a coffee for a fraction of these prices.

Another Costa's yes, but this one is also in a lovely location with spotless facilities and uber friendly staff. Still the best high street coffee and with the new Xmas specials on the menu made for a refreshing change.

I enjoy Costa's coffee and their selection of cakes in most local branches of this chain. However, the Boston shop is just too small and therefore cramped. It has a knock on effect with the staff who always seem under pressure. Come on Costa, move to a bigger place and give us all a better experience.

Always seem to be waiting a few minutes for your drinks and theres always a queue waiting to be served . However it's always clean. Nice place to meet friends .

Perhaps I am biased , but anyone who has enjoyed coffee in France or Italy for example , would be disappointed here.I have always wondered why there is a no lovely coffee aroma when you go.The place looks unkept most of the time and lacks atmosphere.But the killer is the price, why so expensive for an average cup of coffee?

I have visited many Costa over the last few years and most are very good. Unfortunately this is not one of them. My wife and I arrived about 4.00pm on a Monday, there were only Two staff on, the tables had not been cleared recently, the armchairs in the windows were dirty the other fortunately and the décor looked warn and tired, and as there were only two staff on and the place was nearly full the service was slow. The food selection was low in stock and generally it needs refurbishment and more staff. Costa's seem to be getting to many novelty drinks which take time to prepare resulting in a queues when there is not adequate staffing levels.

Very good for sitting outside (weather permitting) but they do have umbrellas, just watching the world go by.

Why do people buy such overpriced drinks and snack food? Quality OK but I can't believe the prices. Service OK but some of the young staff don't seem to know what they are doing despite being friendly and helpful. I must be getting older and grumpier but this sort of overhyped overpriced venue is not my cup of coffee.

For an international chain of coffee shops this was the most awful Latte i have experienced at home ,at airports,or overseas.They wore black shirts with the word coffee mixer printed on them,well if this is the case me and my wife must be the"Dynamic Duo".Perhaps it was my fault for asking for two large Lattes expecting them to come in tall glasses as is the norm,however they came in two very large cups with a handle either side and what looked like and tasted like milky water with very little coffee in it and no froth at all,my wife never touched hers(the giant mug put her off).and i drank some of mine.I do not know if this is a franchise if it is then the franchisee had better get his coffee mixers better trained and put more coffee in the cups,fortunately we did not order any food,if they get much repeat business i will be surprised,it rather puts you off this outlet and all the others as well.
