We stopped at this tearoom whilst travelling for lunch and were not disappointed. We were welcomed and looked after by lovely, kind staff and nothing was too much trouble. The food was amazing with a great and plentiful menu choice, we also had a slice of homemade lemon cheesecake which was so light and creamy! They had a nice highchair and baby changing which is always a bonus when travelling with a little one. We will definitely return.

Spotted the Tearoom sign en route to Norfolk and stopped off for a late 3pm lunch on a whim and we were delighted. Although the kitchen closed at 2.30 for freshly prepared food, the chef made us delicious sandwiches on thick cut seeded fresh bread, hand cut ham and tasty cheese, plus the best Bakewell tart I’ve had for many, many years. Our dog was made welcome at the inside seating and outside. Don’t expect mega smart surroundings, but a very warm welcome and great food. We’ll be stopping off on the way home next week to sample the hot dishes.

We followed the brown sign off the main road to find breakfast on our journey. The Tea room is very close to the road, despite taking a few turns. It's a small plant centre, with a big-hearted cafe. My husband rated his cooked breakfast very highly; the cafe was warm and welcoming and the gentleman who was in and out feeding and watering the miniature Shetlands was a ray of sunshine!

We visited the tearooms with family and friends plus one dog. The owner was extremely friendly and personable and made us feel very welcome. The ham sandwiches were very tasty and very substantial and not at all expensive. We would have liked to try the scones but didn't have enough room to eat any more! We liked it that much that we returned the next day and had exactly the same to eat! The owner was once again very welcoming and although it was very busy, he managed to find us a table straightaway. Would highly recommend.

I'd give Rob 5*s if I was just recommending the tea room section! They do lovely full meals, sandwiches, lovely afternoon teas, delicious home made cakes and there's plenty of space including a large conservatory and an outdoor covered marquee area for a more Al fresco feel if that's what you prefer. Rob is an excellent host...very friendly and chatty and he makes you feel at home when you eat there. I've never seen anyone actually shopping from the garden centre bit. There is an area at the back of the main building where you can find various plants, roses, shrubs, compost etc but most people go for the tea room which I'd definitely recommend!

BEST 'CHEAPER EVERYDAY FOOD'. Im not sure how they will take this review, but in my eyes it's a good one.... Classic HOMEMADE dinners are served here!... Or if you just want a simple jacket potato with tuna, cheese and beans, you will get your moneys worth without paying for fancy surroundings {it comes with a small but reasonable sized salad too 😊} You have the choice of sitting in a conservatory, or outside, or inside, or under a huge gazebo. I have been here a few times now, and it certainly suits my pocket when I can't 'splash out'. I must say that for me, there are not enough choice of cakes, but I guess 3 or 4 simple HOMEMADE ones would suit most people. If you want somewhere quiet, and are not fussed with old fashioned furnishings, then this is the place for you. You also get a friendly comedian (the owner) thrown in for free! 😂

Quirkyness everywhere to bring a smile to your face. The staff looked as though most of them had 'retired' and were working there for fun and enjoying themselve and making sure you did too. Very friendly and helpful. We only had tea and sandwiches but they were wonderful. The bread so fresh and thick with lots of filling. Deliscious. Once we stepped inside we were greeted with a smile by a busy waitress and a very quirky setup. We chose the full works breakfast. When our full plates arrived, the food tasted as good as it looked. By now time was creeping into lunch time and most diners were ordering Sunday lunches. They looked lovely. This tempted my husband to then order apple pie and custard. I was just too full. Visiting the area for the day, we located The Thatched Cottage via Tripadvisor. Booked a table for late lunch. Fortunately a pleasant day as having our furry friend with us we had to sit outside. Our lunch was as good as hoped for; a generous portion of roast lamb, served on a bed of lovely mash, accompanied by red cabbage, yorkshire pud, roasties and apricot stuffing. The sides of creamy blue cheese leeks and trio of carrots, french beans and swede were colourful and tasty. Our meal was served promptly and the half pints of Doom Bar washed our lunch down nicely. Friendly service A thoroughly enjoyable lunch, a good find which we would recommend We may not have booked had it been a cold wet day, delighted it wasn't. Note to TTCR, perhaps look at a doggy owner corner in your bar for diners over the winter months?

Lovely pub. We ate in the bar because our friends had their dog with them. Didn't see the restaurant area but hopefully next time. The bar area was fine but not very busy but I'm sure the atmosphere in the restaurant area was better but that's our fault for having a dog with us. Staff were lovely and friendly.

Our first time trying the indian buffet tonight and we were not disappointed. A great selection of authentic indina food, including something different to try - liver masala, which was very nice. I have had to edit this review as I can't leave another, for some reason, after trying several times. Some weeks ago we came in for our regular carvery and ordered 2 diet cokes. It was busy, so we decided to join the queue for our carvery before our drinks arrived. We were stood right by the bar when, I assumed, our drinks were being poured. The glasses were 3/4 full and as our server walked past us I stopped him to ask if they were ours. Once he had confirmed they were, I asked him to take them back and ask to fill the glass please. I intended on speaking to the girl behind the bar, until I saw her reaction. Staff need to be reminded that customers queue right in front of the bar!! She said, "what!! That's a standard pour, what are they talking about!" Then the owners wife/partner/pub manager appeared and wanted to know what was wrong. She spoke to our server who told her we wanted our glasses filled. She said, "tell them that is how the drinks come!" Looked at the girl behind the bar and said, "just do it!" Then as the server walked away said, "tell them next time that is how drink is." All very aggressive. After we paid our bill, as there is no price list, we worked out that our drinks were just shy of £5 each!! And you want to serve a glass 3/4 full?? The food was great but what we experienced that day has left a bad taste! We have yet to return.
