The Pincushion Inn in Boston

Hmm,I even don't know how to explain, how i feel when we was there. I'm local for couple years. Always was interested how is there. But when I went,was little bit disappointed. But place,is nice and clean.

Had a really good and friendly experience asked for cocktails and the manger or owner brought the girl who did cocktails in early extra 5 stars for that and nothing was a bother great service great people

Lovely dog friendly family orientated pub. Lovely food and cheerful staff. Has many ongoing events including charity bake sales. Great community spirit.

Karaoke night, run out off carling!!! And ordered food to wait 45 minutes to be told they run out of what I ordered! Seems like the the landlord does care about the place

The young girl on the bar took ages too serve us and we was going to walk out book for 12 didn’t get drinks till 12.30 and Sunday dinner was shocking I have thrown better way

Great pub. All the staff were really friendly. Popped in for one drink, ended up having a few, a game of pool and lunch. Shame I’m not local otherwise I’d gladly pop in more often.

They let their dogs bark at all sorts of times, for hours on end which is awful for the people who have to live next to them, and they are always on the roof the pub with no one caring. They gave me rancid gone off tuna while I was pregnant, and I haven’t been back since! The lady who owns this pub always has a horrible look on her face which makes you feel so unwelcome.

Ideal location great landlord clean rooms

My wife and I had a Sunday Roast dinner, we both thoroughly enjoyed it, more than enough on our plates, we could have done with a smaller plated version.

Ate here with family visiting from Australia. Atmosphere friendly from the minute we entered .Menu varied and suitable for all. Meals were served at same time,piping hot and tasty. Would highly reccommend.

What a great welcome here at the Pincushion. The food is well cooked hot and tasty. Make sure you are hungry. Will definitely be back.

Called in for evening meal and drinks. Good typical pub grub and didnt have to wait long. Staff were friendly and the bar had a lively atmosphere with a karaoke. Good Saturday night fun.

Picked this as a "half -way" venue for a meet up with friends. This proved to be a great choice. Friendly management/staff who had our table ready when we arrived but were happy to let us sit and talk (which we did). Good choice of traditional Pub dishes. Food was cooked to order and nicely presented. The proof of the quality was that every thing eaten. Dog friendly so next time the "boys" will come too. This seems the perfect place for us to get together.

Up and coming, but genuine and a treasure find , family orientated with trrue knowledge...of area and local facilities....proud to meet , aw anyone in boozer industry needs head testing lol x

Terrible food. Had sausage egg and chips. Sausages were overcooked hard and dry totally inedible. Staff couldn't have cared less. No apology just "well they were bought fresh today" no offer of rectification and a "huffy" attitude My friends chicken was also overcooked and dry. Wine was warm! Expensive at £19.40 for inedible food and one glass of wine. Very poor customer service extremely poor food.

Wasn’t great. ignored by the lady at the bar, she was too interested in talking to someone else and not bothering with us even though she saw us. To the fact we almost walked out before we were served and I would never do that. Ordered food still no smile… Steak was over cooked but didn’t want to comment as another table had already complained that the steak was over cooked. Was tasty and hot, so didn’t say anything. just not how I asked for it to be served. Guy bringing out the food in a hoodie was friendly, we went to the bar for another round of drinks again no smile from the lady behind the bar. As we left no thank you or any acknowledgment. Would I go back probably not, may for the occasional beer

Wonderful food served piping hot. We all had different mains (some with changes) and nothing was too much trouble for the staff who were very friendly & helpful. Good selection of drinks all at a reasonable price. All of the food was lovely but the desserts were amazing, especially the bread & butter pudding. Will definitely be returning.

Recently re-opened been there a.couple of times not eaten there yet but menu looks ok they serve one of my favourite beers (Doombar)

Popped in for lunch while our cars were being valeted. Nice friendly staff, lovely and clean. Steak and beer battered fish was cooked perfectly, piping hot and very tasty 😋

Went here just after new year to visit my dad and we wanted a game of pool..the landlord and landlady were very pleasant and welcoming indeed .they are new landlords to the Pin I wish them all the success ..nice people

Called in for tea after an afternoon out, service was quick, friendly and efficient. Food was good, tasty and plenty of it. Pub has recently reopened for food and would recommend, good to see a local pub improving 👍. If anything prices were bit high for type of meal, however with everything going up its probably understandable.

Food good. Staff friendly. Good atmosphere. Reopened after deep clean, redecorate, new carpet and new management. Went for opening evening looking good.

Brilliant and reasonable priced food

Lovely welcome and service. Meal was delicious, the triple fried chips were a wonderful surprise and tasted great. I recommend you visit on an empty stomach to stand any chance of eating all the meal!! Thoroughly enjoyable visit, will definitely go again. Well done Sherry.

We arrived for Sunday lunch with a group of 24 & what a delight it was !! All food is proper home cooked food , plentiful meat with a great variety to choose from , with crispy roast potatoes, large homemade Yorkshire’s, crunchy veg & a side of cauliflower/leek cheese . To top it off I had a large portion of apple & rhubarb crumble again homemade & custard . Will definitely go again !! Well done guys on a home from home meal , great value !

The land lady remembered that I liked fish but not the batter, so asked chef if he could prepare me a fresh fish pie, a lovely thought and the pie was amazing, my friend had the beef pie and she said the home made pie was amazing. Good fresh home cooked food.

We visited this pub for the first time today and wasn’t disappointed. We had the Pork Sunday lunch and added cauliflower cheese, but didn’t need it as the dinner was huge. The meal was the best we’ve had in ages while out. At £8.95 it was a bargain! The people were lovely too. We will certainly be returning.

Friendly service and great value tasty home cooked food.

Sherry and her team cooked and delivered a hot Christmas buffet at home for our team as we didn’t want to go out this year. The food was excellent, we had a range of starters, a full roast dinner; beef, roast potatoes, huge Yorkshire puddings, stuffing and vegetables and everyone thoroughly enjoyed it. We will definitely being asking Sherry to do this again for us as the hassle free service was great.

Sunday lunches started today after a refurb. Absolutely delicious, gravy amazing!

Holidaying in the area. We have been visiting the pub for years when we go to Boston. While pub has been closed due to covid sherry the landlady has been busy decorating. Always makes us feel welcomed and serves a lovely pint regulars are very friendly. Just like home from home. Thanks from Barnsley hope to see you soon.

Terrible overrun by children charging around on scooters

Great landlord friendly punters, fantastic pool table , all round great pub.

Bland tasteless food (all the family agreed) and awful service - took an hour for good to come out and was disappointed when it did. We will not be back.

Not too bad decoration needed food ok not a lot on your plate but was offered more veg. Good if you can't get booked in anywhere else.

Friendly pub always some where to sit if you're in early enough.

Great food at a reasonable price

It's been a while since I was last in this pub but nothing seems to have changed. The decor is still very tired and although the pub is lovely and clean and the welcome warm and friendly the pub feels as if its just waiting to close its doors for good. This would be a great shame. The beer as before was excellent and as I've already said pub clean and a warm welcome from the landlady. Please someone do something with this pub before we loose another of our great pubs !

It is a nice place but needs support to keep it open, as do many pubs. I have a heard it is due a make over in July 🤞

Good place, walked from Boston-Kirton and back, jumped into this pub to get pint of beer. Had the one I love. Good place.

Called in on my way back from visiting family in the area . The pub decor looking tired but pub was very clean compared to a previous visit. There was a a very nice lady behind the bar who was very welcoming and friendly. Had a lovely chat and even though not busy and the pub looking as if a part of the building site next door she was extremely "upbeat" and positive about the pubs future which was very refreshing to hear . Had a pint of bitter and was excellent . I look forward to calling in again when next in the area.

Portions aren't overly generous but you can soon add a side or two on - the food is well cooked and presented to a good standard. Good choice of meals for a small pub. Called in on our way past for a drink, landlady very 'off' with us, no conversation, very gruff! The pub itself seemed very run down and the toilets were poorly maintained. This could be a lovely local pub with s bit of effort. Won't be visiting any time soon !

Visited The Pincushion pub on Christmas Eve night ! What a fantastic night we had with family and friends . Live music great band , a very very busy night . The only down fall was a problem with the lager !! Otherwise a great...

Disappointed with recent seasonal menu. Lacklustre throughout felt cheap ingredients with all 3 course used.Shame that once community style pubs go so downhill,apparently site in line to become a convince store. Felt toilets were poorly maintained worrying if they can't present public areas better concern...

After hearing great things, I was eager to visit the pincushion inn for myself. As I was told, the Sunday dinner was notably delicious and fresh - and I could tell that the chef has real passion for good food. The landlady deserves credit for...
