Ordered a takeaway- delivery service good sadly the quality of food wasn’t. Both curries were ‘slop’, very little meat and hardly any taste . Quite honestly a supermarket curry meal deal is more value for money.

5***** Excellent Restaurant We've had a takeaway and eaten in the restaurant three times at the Raj and the food has always been excellent. The staff are very friendly and can't do enough for you. The decor is smart and everywhere is spotless. Definitely recommend this restaurant

Ordered a meal at 6pm for 7.45 delivery, meal finally arrived at 9.15. For 45 minutes the manager said the meal was being delivered in 5 minutes. Arrogant, lying manager, will never use again.

Beautiful restaurant, very friendly, excellent food and very good on prices. Your made to feel special and nothing is to much trouble. All food freshly cooked.

I ordered a takeaway for delivery in Boston. The food took an hour to arrive and was warm at best when it arrived. The prawn biryani tasted 'fishy' (not a good sign!) and despite asking for hot sauce, I got a very bland sauce. The cauliflower side dish was OK but the naan was virtually inedible. It was also expensive. I won't return and suggest that you give it a miss if you find yourself in Boston.

We ordered a take-away and left most of it, despite being very hungry from travelling all day with no food. The curry was very oily and dull in flavour, the side dish was also very dull and flavourless the nan bread was limp and was not fresh and the veg curry was also lacking flavour so we had nothing to eat with the rice. We phoned to complain and was shocked to find they did not have any interest in our feedback and jst told us that 'everything was normal'. We don't like their 'normal' and will not use them again

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal here. Staff friendly and attentive. Food exceptionally tasty. I had a Badami which very few places do and this was one of the best I’ve tasted. Good size portions and good choices. Only thing to look out for - ordered the Shiraz wine only to discover it was more a fruit juice ! 8% so do check what wine you are ordering 🤣

They operate under 2 names Raj Palace and Shapla Take Away, first it was 1 hour 45 minutes for delivery, I rang to ask why, their only answer was we are busy and disregarded any extra information that I tried to give for delivery information, was hung up on, waited for delivery as per the just eat expected delivery time They were 15minutes late rang them back and they said number was bad and driver tried find us Explained situation they denied my previous phone call and had to collect, the manager showed me the just eat information and still harped on about no number no order as they refused to listen to my concerns I raised my voice and ask for the food and the chefs came out aggressively and tried to attack me They had to be physically held back by the manager to stop them Do not eat here they are bullies and don’t care about the customer

After visiting this restaurant before it was taken over, the new owners had a lot to live up to. However the food is even better than before which we didn’t think was possible. 5 of us went tonight with very different taste buds. Some went for hot curries while others had more traditional ones. Chef specials are highly recommended, they taste as good as they sound. Great food, even better service during a very busy shift.

This used to be known as the MassalamZone or Massama Zone but has been refurbed and renamed. Nice interior and staff but food disappointing. My biryani had definitely been microwaved prior to being turned out of a plastic bowl onto my plate in front of me! You can tell when something is just so hot it has just come out of the micro! My fellow diners we also disappointed with the quality of their meals.

We had been waiting for our first visit to the newly redecorated Raj Palace, under new ownership, and we were not disappointed. The owners and staff were very friendly and welcoming and the restaurant was relatively busy for a Tuesday night. All dishes tasted wonderful, being cooked with a variety of spices and strengths. We did not have any really hot spicy dishes and the various flavours stood out. We all went for the banquet which offered great value for money. Even the house wine was of good quality. AND, the next morning, no problems. We will definitely be back soon. Thank you to our hosts

Ate here to try it out prior to booking for a birthday meal in a few weeks time. Friendly and efficient staff, good choice of meals, very high quality food and plentiful portions. We enjoyed eating here and it will be our choice for that special birthday meal we are going to book for a family birthday. We had the house rose wine (bottle) £12.99, dall soup £3.20, lamb nawabi 8.60, chicken biryani 8.90, bombay aloo 3.60, peshwari naan 2.70. All very good.

We had a our second takeaway tonight. What can I say. It was excellent. No fault. I pick up my order, service was great. Friendly. Only problem was me. I wish I know this restaurant from word go. Thank you

Delicious food at an amazing price, fantastic takeaway but look forward to dining in again when we can to experience the top quality customer service. Love this place!

Had a great takeaway delivered to my door great food and still got when arrived service great and staff great to when visiting they make you feel at home when there they look after all your needs
