The Moon Under Water in Boston

Although a busy time I was served by friendly staff and the food was served very quickly and was spot on at a remarkable price. Wsatherspoons have identified exactly what people want and this pub delivered it perfectly. Also a great view of the river.

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the drinks &food good value.

When i visited this Beautiful and very Modern looking Establishment, I was very Impressed by the Warm Welcome i was given on Saturday just before Lunchtime. I ordered my Food from the Generous menu that they had and ordered my Free drink as well. I had a Pint of Worthington's Bitter. I found a table and sat down. I did not have to wait long, this very Friendly Food & Beverage Server brought to my table, my Food. It was a All Day Brunch that i had fancied. 2 Sausages, 2 Eggs, Baked Beans, Chips, 3 Rashers of Bacon. It was Presented on my plate very Well. I really Enjoyed my Food and Beer. I felt really made Welcome and a very Lovely Atmosphere and really Happy people. This was, one of the Best Wethersppons Pubs i have ever visited. It's a spoons, very much cheap food and great for a quick bite to eat, or a late lunch. This one is always clean with friendly staff, can't really say much other than that

Ordered a meal for 4 and the sausage and mash was cold and extremely unappetising the other meals were OK but nothing to write home about. Very disappointed as it was a birthday treat. Don't think I'll be going back anytime soon for a meal

Service was polite and swift the only thing that I think needs to take a look at is every drink Ive had has been filled with ice they haven't asked would you like ice they just put it in I don't like more ice than soda.

This was a typical spoons experience. Food cooked and served well and competitively priced.

Ordered food 45 minutes ago still waiting, garbage service .staff weren’t interested. If ur in a hurry don’t bother . Still waiting now , 55 minutes and counting

Just relocated to Boston and popped in with my family for a meal today.. staff and food was lovely...was just a shame about the drunk guys at around 2pm today that was laughing and bein very rude. Caused myself and another family to move tables to get away. We all had children..and as we moved carried on laughing and making barking noises at us. Such a shame as apart from that was impressed.

We came on Sunday evening, ways very quiet and nice, The Barbmen were experienced and it took a while to get our order, howevuer food was tasty and warm, drinks chilled and we had a great sunday evening! ❤️

Called in weather spoons in Boston inside was disgusting dirty we even had to clean the glasses of the table we ordered meals i ordered the all day brunch the lady passed me the plate with the food on and the plate was that hot it burnt my hand she never said it was hot the good seemed like it was warned in a microwave there was 2 eggs 1 of the eggs had a black crispy bit about the sides the yoke was rock hard there was a table spoon of beans they was stone cold there was 2 small pieces of bacon they was burnt black the waitress didn't even come to ask if are meals was OK she turned up with the 3 other meals she told told the rest was hot my daughter had a gluten free meal when we come out she felt really ill coz she has gluten I would advise anyone who visits Boston weather spoons to not go as the service and food is not good it was,disgusting

It's Wetherspoons so you know what you'll get. Nicer venue than some.

Arrived here at 12.30 pm, lovely quite atmosphere. Yes there was plenty of chatting going on but no roughness. Ordered dinner and drinks by app and drinks arrived about ³ minutes of putting order through. Dinner arrived approximately 5 minutes after that. I had boring fish and chip BUT omg!! That was one of the best fish and chips I've had for a long time. The fish was a decent size, batter was crispy but not too crispy and chips were cooked perfectly. Also we ordered ultimate burger. Wow, that too was a decent size. My friend devoured it in no time so must have been good! He also had onion rings. These too had the best crispy batter I've ever had. Service was excellent, what's nice they come half way through to check it's OK. Also as we both had finished but still had drinks we played the crockery together. A very polite and friendly lady came and ask if she could take them. Absolutely top marks for there manner here today. Highly recommended.

The riverside location was appealing; we were seated and reviewed the menu. Service began well, and our food arrived promptly. However, my wife's breakfast was inadvertently served on my plate and within my burger. I ordered a cheeseburger and fries, while my wife ordered four rashers of bacon, three hash browns, and two slices of toast. The entire order was served on my plate, with the bacon incorporated into my burger. The server attempted to rationalize this error, but it was clearly a mistake. Following an unproductive discussion, I attempted to rectify an error. However, given my wife's cheese allergy and our desire to avoid a hospital visit, the bacon, which had clearly been removed from my burger, was returned. I then requested my receipt and sought clarification from the purported team leader, whose demeanor was unprofessional and confrontational. When I inquired about the freshness of the bacon due to allergy concerns, neither the team leader nor the kitchen staff could provide assurance. After further discussion, they reluctantly agreed to prepare fresh bacon; however, by the time the correction was implemented, our meals were cold and unappetizing, except for two pallid pieces of freshly cooked bacon. We will not be returning; I wouldn't trust the team leader to run a bath. Shocking service.

Great pub on our visit was very busy but we was still manged to get a table in 10 min food was fresh super delicious and quick service also very cheap on prices.

We go for the regular breakfast and endless coffee ,and for the price you can't beat wetherspoons. The staff are excellent and very friendly, Sometimes the breakfasts could be slightly hotter otherwise would have been five stars.

Lovely staff and can't go wrong with a Wetherspoons

I can't possibly say , I only stopped for a coffee . However I was served by a thoroughly pleasant lady and I sat looking at the streets and passers by from a fairly comfortable seat . I will go there for breakfast soon . I stopped drinking when it became a luxury . Well , four weeks later I did have a breakfast, and it was fairly good , reasonable price , well cooked and tasty . Have a good , be adventurous.

2 Decent sized meals for 23 quid with a drink each can't go wrong really it'd typical spoons food. I also had a side and an additional burger in my tennesse burger . The staff that waited on us were great they checked on us a few times to make sure our food was good and I liked where we sat.

Nice pub clean and tidy was not too busy at the time of our visit the food was very nice and fast service too. Used the app to order and loved it.

This 'Spoons was not what old George was thinking of back in the day. It had all the normal things - sauces to fetch, blue and white plates, many stairs to get to the toilet, confusion over the order, bar packed with their stereotypical customer base and slightly surreal wall art. The food was adequate. Just what we went in there for.

Been regulars for past 6years ,not acknowledged as being regulars , totally disagree that staff are friendly !!! They don't give a damn if you moan about your order , recently the burgers been burnt 😒 you get about 6/7 chips on your plate which most are little dried up bits if mot dry they're soaked in burnt fat !! And as for atmosphere well sadly there isn't any atmosphere 😕 Really hasn't been any good since lewis left 😕 at least if you had a complaint he gave you a complimentary drink !! I highly doubt we will be going anymore

Hardly any choice available today. Service needs looking at. Overall one of the worst Weatherspoons in the area.

It's smaller than your usual spoons, however, gets busy and the staff clearly keep it clean and tidy, I ate there most days for a week so as a returning customer it must be good. Please ensure to read the history in each spoons its useful for local knowledge.

Rubbish breakfast. None of this was cooked in there. It is all pre cooked and microwaved. The kitchen couldn't even manage to do me a poached egg

After a poor manager for a few years whom is now left the premises much to the locals relief we now have progress. New staff that I've encountered elsewhere that have been properly trained. A result of that we now have seen a massive improvement in real ale distribution times and quality. A special mention to Shannon and Charlotte who have lead by example and given the others a much needed lesson on good customer service. Credit where it's due. Well done all concerned

Wery busy Saturday early evening very noisy but food and service were both super fast.

Had dinner here of fish and chips, it was Ok for the money but not brilliant. Staff were very pleasant and the place itself was fine.

Too many children who had too much to drink

Not been in the place for years. Not changed that much, beers always wet and cheap.

Stopped for a drink while shopping at the market. We sat outside which was pleasant enough watching the world go by. Reasonably priced drinks and served with a smile.

Went to Boston to visit a pet cemetery of all places. Thought we'd have breakfast at The Moon Under The Water first. Bad idea. Incredibly, there was slightly more life at the cemetery. We were served by the most aggressive woman I've ever met in my life. She wouldn't have looked out of place in a cell block, kicking doors and disrespecting prisoners. It was a genuinely frightening experience to be served/questioned by her. It was fascinating looking at her and try to work out from her contorted face what was making her so angry. The 'food' arrived shortly after and dropped on the table from a great height after not establishing who was having what. The round of shuffle the plates commenced while she skulked off with the grace and poise of a rabid guard dog. The food was about as average as you can have. Thick skin on the beans, I suppose even they knew you needed one to sit there for any length of time. Cold toast and bacon, only the coffee was of any even half decent quality. It was as bad as it gets and we couldn't wait to get out of the place. Don't bother.

Breakfast is great so I had high expectations for the panini which ended up a little crunchy for my liking and not much filling but it was ok I guess.

Did not visit wetherspoon for a very long time, but rainy weather forced us to seak a refuge there, wasn't disappointed at all. It still has unbeatable prices for food and drinks.

Let down by staff member stating she wasn't allowed to fill my cup with Tea and bring it to the table whilst I supporting an adult who is intellectually challenged.

Lovely old pub with some original features. Quick service even tho busy. Only criticism was the fish & chips...the fish was only an inch wide, full length, bit more batter than fish!

Food and drinks were great and the service we received from the member of staff who served us was amazing! He was very friendly, had great customer service skills, treated every customer with the same courteous and friendly manner and couldn't do enough for us and the other customers nearby.

Went in on a quiet Tuesday night, staff seemed to be having their monthly drinks so the staff behind the bar were more bothered about serving them over actual customers. Asked the barman Wilson for the gourmet 8oz Sirlon and even pointed at it on the menu for him yet he still managed to get the order wrong it came out as a classic instead and when questioned he didn’t seem bothered about messing the order up and wasn’t willing to help. When serving me he was leant on the till as if he was talking to one of his friends/ couldn’t be bothered to be there. Food came and gammon was still raw and the eggs tasted and smelt off.

Everything is great and amazing, you get to know the staff and have casual conversations. The food is cheap and for its price very good. The only downside is that is can be very full and hard to find a place
