Ate here this evening with a work colleague and the food and service were absolutely fantastic… seated quickly even though we hadn’t booked. All of the menu sound delicious we had difficulty choosing… I had garlic mushroom my friend had calamari both dishes were suburb!! Mains I had chicken and Lamb shish with rice and a beautiful salad and they had lamb shish with salad … 2 wines and the service and food was faultless… never visited Boston before but will have business here upcoming so will definitely become a regular!! Highly recommend

Had a fantastic time last night with my lovely family. The food was great and the service was awesome the girls and young man work so hard . I had recommended it to my sister and brother in law and we were not disappointed. Well done to you all!!

Called in for a late lunch. Seated and served promptly. Great value lunch menu and lovely food. The best pizza on a bread base and usual tasty pasta

Finally met up with friends for the first time since the pandemic and had an amazing time. Food was excellent, so was the service. Portions are definitely generous, packed some up to take home! Great food, great drinks, great friends great price. A first time here for some, will definitely visit again.

We moved the area recently, we have walked passed this restaurant on several occasions and it looked nice. However, sadly the building is nicer than the restaurant. The service was mediocre, as gay men we were abused in a homophobic way, and staff seemed dismissive. We won’t be back. Food wasn’t too bad, however was absolutely spoilt by the service and ambiance. Appreciate this is not London, I do not expect to be called the f word when out for dinner, and I expect staff to not dismiss it.

Popped in here for a family lunch special and was very pleased with everything. A very nice meal. A great place in the center of town, well worth a visit. The food tasted very Fresh and a great choice. Well done everyone

We visited last night to this beautiful hidden gem! The building is absolutely beautiful! We sat outside with our dog and was welcomed from the get go! The owner is so friendly! He served us the entire time and the service was so attentive and quick! - Really great guy. We had cheesy garlic bread (AMAZING) and pasta! - Honestly the best Italian we have ever had!! It was hot, affordable and so flavoursome! My husband is a head chef and he loved it too! We came on our last night of our UK stay otherwise we'd be back every night! Defo worth travelling too and trying this amazing restaurant at least once!!

Couldn’t celebrate my 60th by going out, so collected a takeaway from this fabulous place, it was delicious! Pappardelle Verdi e Rosa It was so tasty , the chicken and aubergine cooked to perfection, and tiramisu to finish😋, perfect! My partner chose the Bistecca Al Pepe he said it was mouth watering, so tasty... couldn’t have asked for a better end to my birthday. All lovely and hot when we got the meal home, really well packaged. Hand sanitiser as you went in to collect........ would highly recommend.

Having read some negative comments I felt obligated to be supportive as I have been a regular diner solo and with family and friends. I shall be returning today and Wednesday before lockdown begins... Based upon regular visits I have never rec'd poor food infact it is high quality plentiful and reasonably priced. The young staff are excellent and to describe them as incompetent is unfair and untrue. They are quick competent and always charming. I can recommend it.

Food was excellent total compliments to the chefs. Front of house staff young and incompetent, not challenging people with no masks and accepting bookings over 6, people going from table to table. Some staff not wearing masks or visors. Very disappointing.

We ordered the pizza & drink deal. The food came quickly, & tasted fresh. The service throughout the entire experience was warm and pleasant. Felt COVID-Secure. Same this little gem isn’t more well known.

The best pasta we have had in ages. Freshly cooked and plenty of it. Salads good too. We will definitely visit again next time we visit town. Quirky building and decor too.

What a great little place which we found by accident. The building is cool. Decor is cool. It’s nice and clean. Toilets great. Service fab. The food is amazing, very reasonably priced and great quality and in great quantity. An extensive menu and a great lunch time offer! Looking forward to going back already!

Stopped here for lunch as we saw the special lunch deal (pizza or pasta and a drink for £7.50). Food was sensational. Staff were lovely and attentive. Decor was good. Little gem in Boston. Highly recommend.

From the very warm welcome by the manager to the helpful & friendly table staff my son & I had an excellent lunch. The pasta & pizza dishes we chose were delicious,as was the house white wine. Pescod Hall,a 15th Century former merchant’s house is such an interesting setting for this restaurant.

We made an unscheduled stop in Boston on a long journey back from holiday. We stumbled across this place and given the great lunch deal on offer (£8.95 for any pizza or pasta, including a drink) we decided to pop in and eat before jumping back in the car. We were so glad we made that call. Food was absolutely brilliant, all made fresh by the team in the open kitchen. Portion sizes were huge. I had the carbonara, my wife had a spicy tomato penne and we got a pizza for our 7 year old. We couldn’t fault a single thing-we’re just sorry this place isn’t round the corner from us so we can visit all the time!

I have read the reviews posted on here. Quite frankly, anyone who gives less than 5 stars is in need of specialist help. The food here was amazing, filling and enabled is to leave with full bellies and a smile. The food here was something special. The location in a tudor type building added to the atmosphere. The starter we had was absolutely huge and fed a family of 5.The menu was comprehensive and certainly had something for everyone. This is a place I certainly will visit again, quintessential perfection.

First visit, very quirky tudor style building with Italian rustic decor. Dining room upstairs. Open kitchen, loo and a couple table for drinks / bar area downstairs. Menu is extensive and reasonably priced. It’s not available to view on line but most main pasta dishes costs between £8.50-£10. Very traditional Italian menu (no pizzas) I ordered the lasagne, when it arrived you tell it was home made. Very meaty, lots of pasta and cheese (lacked tomato for my taste). Service is abysmal, so bad it’s enough to put me off returning. They forgot my drink... twice. Wrote our order down then came back 35 mins later to say they had technical problems and had to write order down again (very bizarre). Meals took ages to arrive, we waited at least 45 minutes and the restaurant wasn’t that busy. Also the loo is dreadful! A single loo to cater for an entire restaurant, oddly low to the ground like the sort of loo you find at a primary school!

Food was very nice , only problem was service was a bit lacking, as had to ask for water 4 times before we got any,having said that we would go again and give it another try.

Visited as a party of 6 Saturday 5/10. Not one of us enjoyed our meal, bland and tasteless was the remarks from all. Drinks were poor and spirits tasted as if they had been watered down. We did report our dissapointment and got a 10% reduction however I would sooner pay full price and enjoy the evening.Wiil not be booking again.

Had been recomended, great value for lunch. Fab Risotto and pasta dish and drink included in orice. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Will be back.

Food was nice, portion sizes just right. Wine is expensive. Customer service was unfortunately not up to scratch as the waitress who served us had just started that night. The starters were only taken away at the same time our mains came out, which meant that we had to ask for fresh cutlery to eat the second course. The regular staff were however much better. We wouldn't rush back. Prefer the ropers arms.

Well where to start. We had a sharing platter to start with and that has to be the best squid i have ever tasted. The mains we had seafood pasta and a pizza, my pasta was supposed to be with a tomato sauce but because I’m not a fan of tomato they made it with a cream sauce just for me. All beautiful and fresh. The pizza was good quality too. The portion sizes r massive!! The wine is very reasonably priced and very nice. The deserts were home made. The Nutella cheesecake was to die for. The service was fantastic. The bill was very reasonable. There was literally nothing i could fault about this place. Left feeling very full and looking forward to going again soon!

Second time of visiting and the food has been great, freshly cooked, hot and plenty of it. A little rushed for a lunch hour.

We visited this restaurant for my birthday meal. Took what felt like forever for food to arrive, the calamari starters were delicious but HUGE and we could have shared one in all honesty. I had pizza and my husband had the fish stew - we both thought our food was incredible and only let down by the service. We had drinks whilst waiting for our food but it really shouldn't take nearly an hour to get your order. We will give it another go - the food really was faultless, I just hope it was an 'off day' with the service, as the young staff upstairs were more interested in having a chat to each other than seeing if their guests were ok!

Went here for a meal with the girls from work, plenty of choice on the men., I had the fusilli salmon with courgette in a cream and fresh dill sauce, a good portion size at a reasonable price!

Boston has a few great Italian eateries of various styles and this one is probably the best when you include quality of service, comfort, quality of food and great value.

Went last night for my dads birthday meal, 9 of us in total, food was spot on and drinks was kept flowing. The service was great, not waiting long for anything and it was a full house being a Saturday night, would definitely recommend.

A beautiful setting in an old building. The building gave you a very warm feeling and you felt at ease straight away. The menu was extensive at lunchtime and well priced.

We had heard good reviews of this restaurant so we booked in for a mid week treat. We were greeted warmly by a very pleasant young man and shown upstairs to a very empty restaurant. He informed us that a large party had just left. We were given the menus and selected garlic bread as a starter with linguine and a diavola to follow. The garlic bread was okay but nothing special and the main meals were pleasant and filling. Two more people joined us upstairs. Can't help compare it with the Italian Connection where there is always an excellent ambiance. Probably will not try again although the food was good.

We’ve visited twice now. The first attempt we put down to the restaurant just opening. We ordered garlic bread to share and didn’t get any side plates, one of our dishes (carbonara) went to a vegetarian on another table, the vegetarian on our table was given a chicken dish and when they asked the waiter about it the response was ‘I’m don’t know madam I didn’t order your dish did I nor did I make it’. The service was really slow and upstairs is really smokey your eyes hurt. At the end of the meal we did tell the management and he said he would try and sort out the service.

first time I have been, heard it was very similar to the ropers arms which i have been to before, work meal out and we enjoyed it the food was really nice. Starters are good size, main everyone enjoyed on the table. The service was average- ok, staff was friendly don’t get me wrong never did anything wrong as such but not the quickest off service seem as though there was only three tables and two waitress on we had to keep shouting them over to get more drinks and they was both just stood talking behind the bar it wasn’t like they was busy. the restaurant is a big place so would be better atmosphere to go on a Saturday night when it’s more busy as it feels empty but the food was really fresh and good size and would go back again.

Food was very nice we both had pasta with chicken mushrooms and leeks in a creamy white sauce and we both thoroughly enjoyed it

Seventeen of our group visited for a birthday celebration and it was a brilliant night.

All the seafood at Pappardella is frozen not fresh ,The vegetables were served raw, & the replacement veg tasted like burnt sardines. Management was disinterested and serving staff lacked any training. The worst Italian restaurant in Boston

Our first visit to this restaurant for a pre theatre dinner. A warm greeting from the manager who led us to our “table for two”. Friendly, efficient staff, thoroughly enjoyable food and we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the house wine. We will return.

We have been intrigued to try this new Italian restaurant in Town. Our experience was fantastic.

Met and greeted at the door, table ready within a few minutes. Drinks arrived promptly! Food order taken after 15 mins following a request to delay from the waiter, which wasn’t a problem with good friends for company.

4 of us had decided it would be great to try the new restaurant in town, we booked a table for 8:30 and arrived promptly we was seated almost immediately our drink order was taken 45ish mins later we order a bottle of wine for 3 of us and a bottle of beer "they got the order wrong and it was only 2 items". By the time they came for our food order it was close to closing time and we felt like we was now being rushed. The portion sizes were large but the food was bland. The staff were flustered and was unsure of what to do at times (this restaurant has big teething issue's and requires an experienced manager).

We visited La Pappardella for my father in Laws birthday, as a new restaurant we had heard good things so we thought we would give it ago... I won’t be going back in a hurry.

We were greeted warmly and shown to our table straightaway.The menu is quite extensive,and I was a little bit worried as to the quality,but the stuffed chicken breast I had was so tasty and succulent and one of the party had pasta and seafood which she declared delicious.The building is decorated very tastefully and the staff were very pleasant,and it was not long after it had opened and there was obviously staff in training.We had a very pleasant evening,good food and weren't rushed from our table.Well worth a return visit.

Had a wonderful meal, everything we ordered was very tasty and piping hot, it was a very busy evening but the staff we very attentive and friendly, will definitely return again.

We have been looking forward to our first visit to the new restaurant in town, as Italian food is our favourite cuisine. However........

Awful and uncomfortable experience.

Group of 8 of us thought we’d try the new restaurant in town. We were seated at 7:30 and perused the extensive menu whilst waiting for drinks, after 30 mins the waiter came to ask for our food order, having clearly forgotten our drinks order!

Spacious nice restaurant in town centre! Food is amazing, fresh and very tasty, lots to choose from for everyones taste buds, best pasta in town! Staff was good and welcoming! Feels like a homely type of a place! Would come back again, recommended!

I had the Risotto balls, the Pollo Parmigiana and the homemade Ammaretti tart. Really delicious. The sauce that came with the Supli was surprisingly good - just tomato and orangano I think but it tasted amazing. It's a good summary of the rest of the food - simple Italian dishes cooked with skill.
