The best restaurants in Bassetlaw East Midlands

Visited on 27th December on a road trip to see family. Was obviously very busy but we ordered via the app and were served our food promptly. Food was good McDonald’s food - the chips were warm. We will continue stopping here every Christmas holidays when we drive by.

We ordered a mega salt and pepper box and we was disappointed as it was mainly chips we had paid 21.00 for it do not go ever!!

food did not show up at all and have no way to contact the stores because the number is unrecognised.

The toilet was filthy, urine all over the seat and floor, and in need of a good clean up. I didn't stay to eat after that.

My daughter and I were travelling down the A1 and honestly couldn't face the dreadful food served in the motorway service stations so thought we'd Google somewhere just off the main road. I'm so pleased we made the short 2-3 mile diversion to go to.Clumber Park. Lovely place - the cafe had great views over the lake, and we had a healthy baked potato and salad served with a nice cup of tea in a China cup rather than plastic beaker. The staff were really.pleasant and friendly, food nutritious and the views excellent. Tiny bit on the pricey side but worth the trip.down the tree-lined avenue and not a greasy burger in site!

Topkapi had brilliant food me and my friend were visiting the area and we saw topkapi and they did not let us down we parked outside the food place and they brought the food out to us aswell. Me and my friend both are very happy, the food was an absolute 10/10. Customer service is lovely aswell and they will not let you down. 100% recommend me and my friend came from peterborough and had never had pizzas so nice. Thank yoi Topkapi for the food and we hope to come again soon.

10.30am - quiet time, 3 tables and 5 customers including myself. At least 4 staff. An elderly couple had ordered drinks, when they were prepared the member of staff at the service station called the table number, no response and called a second time even though they had spotted the table! The elderly gentleman put his hand up and the staff member said 'your drinks are ready' another customer offered to take the drinks as I was on my way to do the same. I asked why they hadn't taken the drinks to the table as the customer would clearly have struggled, I was told there wasn't a procedure for it 🤔 I pointed out that the procedure should be use your common sense, there wasn't any orders being processed and there weren't busy, almost equal staff to customers, what has happened to customer service 🤨 being trained to think on your feet, read the situation and the customer who's paying your wages comes first.

Best Chinese takeaway in the area, the food is very tasty. I would definitely recommend this takeaway over any other in the area

We use the café regularly. The for is of good quality, well prepared and excellent value. You can call in, arrange collection or have your food delivered.

Highly recommended - hugely disappointed . Took 45 minutes for a bacon sandwich to be served. Kitchen was ‘so busy’ apparently ? 10 other guests in the restaurant - should have mentioned the ‘busy’ status when order was taken. Then delivery 5 minutes for my dish after the other two I was with were served. Then to see that the bacon sandwich had one meagre slice of bacon - poor value - Greggs would have been at least 3 rashers for half the price in 2-3 minutes. First and last time ever. Such a huge disappointment when there are far better similar venues with better service, value and food for breakfast

9 times out of 10 the food is cold and they don’t inform you! Otherwise I would have chosen something else. If the bacon and cheese wrap pastry is on the breakfast deal you would expect it to be warm! Friendly service though , always busy

Brilliant guy who answered the phone. Very bubbly and helpful. Only issues with our order is that we had a gluten free which had the dip placed in the holder (which shouldnt be placed in due to cros contamination factors) As well as the other pizzas being gummy with bubbles around the crust (little tip if you see this dock harder and stretch slightly less) otherwise absolutely lovely. Loads of toppings (thankyou) and arrived quickly

Slow service, we were the only customers in there, food normal TB fare, but so overpriced for the actual quantity of what you get. However, kids like it so would tolerate that, if it wasn't for how filthy the place is. Again, there were no other customers in there, yet nearly every table had bits of food or sticky stuff on it, the floor had food everywhere and the bin was overflowing. These are absolute basics, so it makes you wonder about how clean the kitchen is. Won't be back.

Breakfast cob and a drink £4.50 yet tried to charge me £5.90 cause j had bacon and sausage. Asked for customer service phone number only to be told there isn't one so you can't. Staff just miserable. Won't be back in a hurry.
