Topkapi Kebab House in Bassetlaw

We are new to the area and have tried numerous pizza takeaways since arriving in the area. This one is by far the best. Great food served by friendly staff.

Moved to Worksop i’ve asked a neighbour of mine where I could order as a good takeaway kebab and I have been recommended this place. No wonder they deliver to the whole street. It was so nice and tasty I’m so happy 👍👍

Went in there with a couple of friends. We had a large house special to share this amazing 😍 will be definitely going in again

Wrong order , sent cheesy chips when I asked for a burger ,asked for a mixed kebab received meat with garlic sauce, phoned wrong order 45 mins later came no apology, never again what rubbish service

Can’t go wrong with a TopKapi after a gig at the Dukeries Tap, my go-to is the pizza. It’s genuinely ace. They do basically exactly what every other kebab house does, but TopKapi just has that extra richness to it. The cheese is just creamier and the toppings are simply tastier.

Appalling customer service. Ordered some food and they sent the wrong item but had turned the grill off so couldn't remake it but offered to send the kebab on our next order . Just tried to place an order (next day) and she said they couldn't give me a "free kebab" I said it wasn't free as I'd already paid but apparently as they sent a cheeseburger in place of the kebab I already had a meal and therefore could only offer it me at half price. I explained that I didn't eat the cheeseburger and offered them the choice to collect the cheeseburger but that was declined and still only offered me the kebab I had already paid for for half price. Totally rude and not the first time they have taken my money and not provided the food I ordered. Will never order again and wouldn't recommend to anyone!!! Disgusting behaviour.

Ordered 2 x doner kebabs for delivery , arrived stone cold the pitta bread burnt and inedible , chilli sauce is orange and in powder wt hell ???? On a plus the salad is fresh

This has to be the worst takeaway we've had as a family, and we've had a few! Delivered on time but no salad and wrong sauces sent with order. I phoned to complain and told the sauces ordered weren'tavailable so they had put others in. I was offered £3 off my next order, which I thought reasonable. That was until we started eating....The food was stone cold! The chips were solid and my daughter bit into a potato wedge and crunched straight into dirt!! The last straw was that we ordered the house special kebab at £18. We ordered this ridiculously expensive kebab for the Lamb shish and kofta as described in the menu. However there was no lamb to be seen and the kofta just tasted like a burger that had smashed into a sausage shape. I rang again to be told that "People knew" lamb had taken off the menu 6 month ago. I asked how people know there's no lamb if its still on the menu? Maybe there are mind readers or psychics among the customers of topkapi, Worksop. I would think though, if they were psychic, they would already know to avoid this place like the plague ! No apology from the manager no refund, just the £3 off if we order again. Which we won't. Disgusting!

I ordered the combination kebab meat and chips it came quickly but it was cold the meat was very dry and like rubber,chips tasted as if they were old chips. Very disappointed and won't be ordering it again

Cold greasy mushy lamb kofte and microwaved pitta breads that you couldn’t open . Very disappointing - certainly not what it used to be. Nicest thing about the meal was the spiced potatoes. I wouldn’t waste your money.

Young lady took order, given total to pay on delivery, chap came on time, he asked for an additional £7 !! He said it was delvery, but is that not on when you order!! Rang them , the lady i ordered with denied the cost she gave me! My fone was on speaker and all my family heard. I suggested we pay £3 .less for their mistake, there reply pay full or no food,,,, will not visit your shop again including your refford shop!,,Which our friends and family previously used, Maybe you can stand up for your mistakes or give your staff a a,calculator .. Small Mistakes but could be costly? If ordering record your conversation!,,

orderd through the online app, was told hr wait, a hr and 45 min we rang to b be told it was been prepard to go out with next driver, its a sat nite so understand they busy, rang bk half hour later to then be told its just getting ready to be cooked and be at least 20 min more. had to go collect as kids now ready for bed and waiting for there pizza we promised! when we ask for refund was told we have to ring foodhub to sort it as the shop cant refund! no apoligy or explanation as to why we was told it was ready 1st time we called! will stick to la house next time!

Having moved away we called at Topkapi for 4 kebab meals. All came hot, with fresh varied salad....it’s as good as it always has been. We used to live in Gateford 19 years ago and it’s still in the same family which says a lot!!! Keep up the good work Yosef!!!

I ordered via the website and was told that our food would be ready in 15 mins. We arrived to collect it and the pizza and kebab were ready and sat on the side. We were told we just needed to wait for our wedges. 20 mins later the wedges were finally ready. Only then did they decide to put our sauces in the pots that we had ordered. Needless to say the pizza and kebab were cold. No apology or explanation just given the cold food. I then left a review on their website which was removed! That’s why the website only has good reviews. Avoid this place the owners are arrogant and rude too.

I'm not a local but had a meeting near by, asked if any one can reccomend a place with healthy and tasty options and Topkapi seemed to be the favourite choice. Ordered chicken shish special with salad and chilli sauce served with pitta and it was delicious. Smell was so tempting that i sat down and had it there and then. If I ever end up Worksop I'll definitely be there!

Last night we popped into this place for the first time and surely won't be last. Me and my friend both had vegetarian wraps and it was delicious. Salads were fresh and crisp which made the difference. Will highly recommend it.

went few days ago with my brother! friendly atmosphere and the food tasted nice and fresh! what made it good is restaurant style service but in a takeaway! easy to do but hard to maintain! would recommend to anyone! thanks guys!

Ordered kebabs and pizza for 4 to collect and the food was done on time, didn't have to wait around and also had the option to pay by card as i ordered directly from their website. Can't fault anything and the rest of us was happy too. Will recommend!

This place is far the best in Worksop when you say Topkapi it really has a great name and reputation it is now much better the original owner is back after a few years glad to see you back Joseph xxxxxxx

there are many places i order from and this is one of my favorites to order from, please try there food is excellent.

We always used to have our pizzas delivered from Topkapi, they always seemed to be of good quality and tasted nice. Over the last 2 years we have tried the same order and every time we have been disappointed and vowed never to use them again. Tonight is our very last, the chicken wings were dry, the garlic pizza was mushy and tasteless, the Mexican pizza looked like it had been reheated and was again tasteless, judging by the texture it could have been any pizza but we could taste an abundance off salt and onions. Finally, there was the house salad, I thought they can’t get this wrong but, yes they did, the salad was definitely made by out of date ingredients. My advice if you wish to order a pizza, stay clear if this one

Absolutely shocking I ordered a plain burger with chips and chicken nuggets and chips having been told on the phone it would be with me in half hour to 45 min an hour and 20 min went by so I phoned up to see where my order was and got told it was on the way 35 min later I rang back to find out that they havent wrote the wrong address down and not been bothered to try and contact me regarding my order that was clearly sat there getting cold and resulted in me cancelling me order so after 2 hours I still haven't had my food.

Order just been delivered asked for 1/2 burger just got single even tho I payed for double payed for cheese on chips didn't happen plus chips was burned couldn't eat them

I always order the house special (large) haven't finished one yet but it's my favourite. It's my guilty pleasure to have one of their lovely kebabs at least once every few months.

I always order the same pizza. And it always tastes different. Once I ordered a spicy and was so spicy that you could not eat - as if someone wanted to make a joke. I have the impression that sometimes there are other ingredients, strange cheese that does not taste like cheese, it was once burnt. I resigned from ordering here.

First time I had a take away from here, although the food was good and tasty and there was enough of it I was disappointed that only four small pieces of green pepper was the salad on my deconstructed shish kebab.

Servicio horrible, tomó una hora y media en llegar, y cuando lo hacía sólo nos dio una pizza en lugar de 2. Luego llamó para preguntar acerca de nuestra orden, el hombre era inútil y que no estaba escuchando, obviamente demasiado ocupados y nos pedía repetir nuestra orden y nuestra dirección. Nos dijo que nos la restitución para la comida que pedimos que nunca sucedió. La otra pizza una hora después de haber comido y los otros tenían las patatas frías y pan de ajo.

I pop in on my way home from work when I can't be bothered to cook. Usually go for a grilled chicken kebab and wedges. Spot on for the price and friendly staff.

After several months of avoiding, decided to give it a go again. Bad mistake. Failed to deliver some of the order and still didn't arrive after 2 phone calls. Promised a discount from next order, but there won't be one!

I had a vegetable pizza without cheese which was lovely and a carton of mixed salad which was, as always so fresh. My hubby had a mixed kebab with salad and fries, he said it was really nice.

Solía usar Topkapi todo el tiempo pero las pocas veces anteriores nos ha decepcionado. El tiempo de entrega es normalmente bien, siempre 45 minutos globales presupuesto pero tiende a llegar cuanto antes. Sin embargo, 3 comidas pasadas que pedimos para la entrega ha llegado tibio en el mejor de los casos, y la última comida la carne Doner era muy mala calidad y sabor horrible. Tanto así que hemos decidido no pedir desde allí de nuevo.

When I've visited Topkapi I get salad and pitta which is always tasty and fresh. My parents get takeaway from here, usually calzone, pizza, fries and a veggie wrap and they've found delivery time and food good.

I have tried a few kebabs in the area and this was the best. The first visit I shared a large house special kebab with my wife - it was massive and great value at £11. Staff were quick and efficient and the food piping hot. I must admit the chilli sauce is not the best and is probably the only let down. Will certainly be a regular.

We have tried several kebab shops in the area trying to find a good kebab and, so far, Topkapi has been the best. The meat was hot and cooked well. There was also a good variety with doner meat, chicken and lamb. We especially liked the addition of the peppers and mushrooms which had been cooked over the charcoals giving a tasty smoked flavour. We were disappointed with the chilli sauce though as there was no heat to it whatsoever-it could have been tomato sauce! We will be returning to Topkapi but will buy our own chilli sauce.

Food tastes horrible, n staff are rude to. Not the place to eat at all, gets quite busy at night with dunk people

Can only describe this experience as total dissatisfaction it was awful, the "food" was Luke warm at best and was far to salty. Do yourself a favour and avoid at all cost.

Well I ordered chicken breast and wedges and I got chicken slices on a bread cob...with cold hard roast potatoes...shocking...the lady that answered the phone was lovely...apart from that utter rubbish!!!

Once the food got delivered it wasnt bad, but we got told it would take 40 minutes and it took 1 hour and 15. This was not as expected as we were going out and needed it delivered.

We regularly order from here and have had a mix of experiences. Some times the food is lovely but others (more often than not) it is cold, sloppy (burgers), chips are hard and so on. The other day we ordered and the order was wrong, I took it back and the man said I had ordered the food wrong (what ever happened to the customer is always right). Any way I finally got the right burger, however, when I got home my other food was freezing cold.

I have read the bad reviews and please do not let this put you off ! It has been through different staff over the past few years and the team they have working now are good guys.. They work hard and work fast. They are always friendly and welcoming towards us :) it's always a pleasure to go in! We do order for collection and live nearby.. So cannot comment on deliveries I'm afraid. But what I can say is, it's always clean to a high standard, the salad is always fresh with a large choice (I love the salad, I can't find anywhere else that does salad on takeaway like this place does, got to have salad with a kebab! Mmm) we typically order chicken cooked on a spit in a wrap or as a kabab, spicy spuds or sometimes pizza's.. Its always cooked fresh, is pipping hot and is lovely and soft. It's comes as large as they can possible do it with plenty of sauce and we just can't complain!! They never disappoint us and when I hear someone say it's no good I can't comprehend. Please give it another go and don't let a previous experience with other staff hinder your judgement. We order the same things at least once a week (I know we sound like a pair of fat so's but we're fit and healthy! Lol) it's just that nice and not once have we had an issue plus its great value for what you get.. I hope it stays this way for good now, it's back to the standards that made it a business in the first place when Charlie was around!

Phoned them up to be told that i was mistaken and i would need to take it back to prove it. When i took it back they insisted it was juice from the pepperoni (which it clearly wasn't!!), i then ended up arguing with 5 members of staff who had all gathered around. Why they couldn't just admit the mistake and redo the pizza is beyond me, obviously they are not interested in keeping their customers happy! I will not be going back, terrible terrible service.

Disgusting!! Waited an hour for delivery which was fine but I was clearly at the end if a delivery run as my food was stone cold! When I called the girl hung up on me!!! The delivery driver advised me not to hold the bottom of my bag as all my food had leaked inside! Terrible!!!! Wouldn't feed my pets this good - all in bin!

Went here the other night for two Kebabs, My donor meat was cold and very chewie as if its been reheated over and over again, and the second Kebab was totally wrong (Donor chicken instead of chiken shish) asked for this plain and it came covered in salad!! Not Happy!!

We just had a takeaway as good friends told how good it was just tonight and i can not belive they are calling that food it was all over cooked and VERY COLD so had to be reheated!!! They will most defo not be getting anymore of my money!!

We ordered a large takeaway order on a Saturday night and food took approx 40 mins to arrive we had ordered a lot of differant pizzas and kebabs and burgers. We had requested one of the pizzas with no olives but it arrived with olives we didn't tell the grandchildren and they ate it, 15 mins later they delivery man returned with another pizza with no olives ( they must has realised we didn't call as the kids just ate it) we advised it was fine but the insisted we kept it and a free bottle of coke fantastic customer service

Make them repeat back your order because they often get it wrong and then play dumb. Awfull place, horrible food if you can call it that. A good place to eat if you need the runs.........!!!! Horrid shocking disgusting vile nasty do not go here...
