We have visited this little coffee shop multiple times now, more recently over the last couple of months. We did visit when it first opened on maybe two occasions, but have just started calling in again. Firstly if there was a GOOD on TA, I would have chosen this above average, however there isn't and I don't quite think this coffee shop is quite at very good level yet, although it could be. Positives first, it is a quaint little coffee shop, opposite the cinema which has parking. They offer a small but nice selection of breads and cakes. They also do very nice lattes. It is a quiet unassuming little spot, somewhat too quiet, which doesn't always shout out welcome. We have only come across a gentleman (possibly the owner) and a lady when visiting, both very cordial when we approached and ordered. Although I do have to say, they don't really engage in much conversation, and I have to agree with some points from a previous review. You don't necessarily expect any in depth or full blown conversations, but the atmosphere they create is very much akin to library staff environment. They aren't rude, yet aren't/don't come across as very friendly or welcoming. It's very robotic. I think more interaction and engagement with customers would be so much more welcoming and appealing to encourage customers to revisit or recommend their business. I would also have the music a 'little' louder when it is on. It hasn't always been on, or it's been so low you cannot hear it and the atmosphere is again, like a library, you can hear a pin drop. The above is not to criticise, just to give honest feedback on recent visits. Try it yourself and form your own opinions.

Very Friendly and great Afternoon Tea a treat from the better half, excellent value. Plenty of sandwiches, by time we worked our way through the sandwiches and the scones jam and cream we were to full to eat the cake, so we ended up with a cakeaway. Would recommend

On my way back home after returning a hire car, two long days away in Glasgow; walking past Allotment was just what I needed! I thought this looks like we can have a nice coffee in here, and I wasnāt wrong. Excellent choice of hot and cold drinks available, very nicely prepared coffee, a lovely blend too! Excellent for brunch and lunch and treats, come on down and give it a try guys, what a fabulous coffee shop!

Lovely people, absolutely hilarious actually. Made my mum and I very welcome straight away. Straight forward food thatās wholesome and tasty. I have a feeling this will be my mum and Iād regular spot when she visits. This place reminds me of much needed home cooked food on a long road trip and finding a gem of a cafe on a long country road. I dunno, strange feeling of comfort in a pubic place.

As sushi lovers me and my daughter have always been looking for good sushi in our local area. How did I not know this place even existed in Worksop, and that it was right on our doorstep?! OML we now order this most weeks and we love our sushi nights again. We always order 4 mini maki sets of 8 and a tub of seaweed salad. Everything looks and tastes amazing and is so fresh! It travels well for home delivery and the customer service is good. The complimentary chopsticks and extras make this so authentic! ...although when asked, the lady on the phone was happy to ommit the Soy sauce (too strong for our tastes), the wasabi and the Pickled ginger (we just don't like them). Instead, we received extra sweet chilli mayonnaise instead. We love Always Sushi and would recommend giving the food a try as soon as you can! :)

Went here for lunch with a friend. We hadnāt booked but with a wait we could be accommodated. Iāll book next time. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. They were disinfecting tables and chairs when customers left and tables were well distanced. The menu was full of interesting dishes so was spoiled for choice. I can recommend the cauliflower and onion bajhi salad. Itās classed as a light bite but it was very filling. Had already ordered carrot cake but managed to squeeze it in. It was a proper sized piece of cake too! The food was delicious and fresh. Would highly recommend it and will be back myself.

I only gave this a 5 star rating because I couldnāt give it anymore. For the type of cuisine they serve, the food is excellent, the service is efficient, but what made the real difference for me was the genuine friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff that attended to us. Sometimes when you leave a tip it is because that is the expectation, but on this occasion it was in genuine appreciation of the level of service we received. It put the icing on a really enjoyable lunch. Thank you to all.

This used to be the best place in Worksop with the best food and an incredible atmosphere. Unfortunately it's been ruined since the new management took over and the food is now like everywhere else, it's deafeningly loud to the level where the young staff can't even hear themselves and the atmosphere has gone. It could have been brilliantly updated and instead it's now a no go. A massive shame - the family have been regulars. We have shared feedback and they are not interested in it. Unfortunately what has happened to Miss Poppies is now word of mouth not in a good way. Really sad. I adored this place and now have to go elsewhere since it reopened.
