The best restaurants in East Midlands

I booked this as a pre shoot stay. The rooms are well appointed and comfortable. I arrived after a 2 hour drive to be told that I couldn't eat in as there was a wake happening, and the bar closes at 8pm... I was directed to a decent food pub 5 minutes away, which was helpful. I would have liked to have just checked in, had a few beers and a simple meal without having to go out. Otherwise, it's comfortable.

Visited this evening with my 5 year old for a treat and can certainly recommend. The food was great and the service was absolutely fantastic. Such friendly and helpful staff I can’t praise them enough. Will definitely be going again.

The ribs were the best I'd ever had. Delicious. Hubby was happy with his gammon too. Portions were huge and we enjoyed the food so much we stuffed ourselves! Didn't want to leave any - it was that good! The pub has a clubhouse feel and clearly serves the caravan park. We sat in the quieter dining area part which was lovely. The pub has so many different sections which meant we could get away from the kid's noise and (what sounded like) karaoke. Pleasant staff and great food. We have recommended to others who live in the area. Only down side for me was the toilets, which could do with an upgrade.

Good pub slightly off the beaten track but obviously popular. Popped in for drinks on a Saturday evening and was perfectly satisfied with beer, service and ambiance. There was a band on which made it a little bit crushed at the bar but we still got served quickly and efficiently.

The food here is wonderful: consistently delicious, delicate flavours, from the best ingredients. Divine. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere, lovely staff, and there always seems to be parking available just across the road by the river. I think we have visited Taan Thai four times this year.

What a loss to Skegness the loss of this place is, we visit town at least 3 times a year and always had lunch here used to be such a bargain and good proper food, so hope the owner surfaces somewhere new, they new how to cook proper food

I've been here a few times since it's changed hands, very lovely food and good staff. The naan breads are great.

Ordered an LA chicken burger. Was a dry chicken breast in a bun .Wasnt asked if I wanted extra toppings and at the very least expected some lettuce or cheese or sauce. Had to come home and add those myself. Won’t be revisiting.

Definitely the loveliest pub I have visited! Such a lovely welcome, food excellent, ambience excellent, very comfortable. The best ladies loos I have ever used, beautiful. A pity I live in the south, too far for frequent visits. Local customers very friendly, too. Thank you.

Very nice place with lots of outdoor seating which makes a great change. Hot chocolate is nice and creamy. Staff friendly. No full English on the menu but the muffin looked incredible I cannot wait to try this, waffle with bacon was sweet.

Renamed Kigali. Great coffee. Quick service despite being busy. Friendly knowledgable staff. Great selection of cakes

A big thank you. Arriving just on 2 o ' clock as breakfast service ended you were kind enough to serve myself and my son and grandson three excellent breakfasts. Staff were very friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend it if you are passing. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Will make sure to arrive earlier next time,but once again thank you for accommodating us.

Tasty food. Excellent service. Tried one of their traditional Bangladeshi Specials and it was delicious. Glad to hear they do home delivery too.
