We had fab coffee in a lovely outdoor area, all felt very safe, and the barista was great. We wished we could have had a brownie.

Probably only 10-15 spaces inside and some seating outside. Serves lovely blended coffee and some light bites. Great croissants and banana and walnut bread. Really handy to the city centre.

An adorable little cafe, so everyday (or so) before work i'd love to treat myself to a hot chocolate and a piece of banana bread from this cafe, its super tasty. This is a good all-round little cafe, it may be small and not much space to sit (if you are with a big group its not a good idea to plan to sit in so i'd recommend taking something away with you) but it is definitely worth it, lovely environment, lovely colour scheme, really nice people and the best thing is there is no minimum card payment.

Came across this while wandering around the Lace Market in Nottingham. It looked independent and welcoming. Couple of tables outside invited us to partake. Really excellent coffee. Picked up the mag which described how they started - with a lot of info about coffee that I'm not sure I understood 100%. Not the point - if you're in Nottingham have a great coffee. Support them - refreshing change from the US corporations

Well worth hunting this place out. It’s a little bit off the beaten track however it’s well worth taking the time to visit. The coffee is excellent and the cakes pleased my children immensely. Staff are also great with clear knowledge and expertise in their craft.

Oat milk latte was awful. Only non-dairy milk they have is ?minor figures? oat milk. Whether it was the milk or the coffee, it tasted awful & I couldn't finish it, had to chuck it in the bin. Surprised at the good ratings this place, because the coffee was shockingly bad. On the plus side though they had a few vegan cakes/sweet things, which I didn't try, but I won't go back because life is too short for bad coffee.

Having just driven for 3 hours, had half an hour to kill, so stumbled across this small coffee shop, had a flat white and shared a bagel with my wife. Great coffee and food. Highly recommend it.

Came here for a coffee before work and noticed the gorgeous array of (vegan) snacks - the lovely waitress/barista recommended the crack brownie(!) and honestly it was delicious! So grateful for her suggestion. Cold brew was gorgeous, outdoor seating is very nice. I left the change as a tip and the other waiter/barista came running halfway down the street just to check I didn’t want the change - so thoughtful and kind of them, definitely care about their customers!

Well worth going out of your way to get coffee here. It’s delicious! The cakes and treats are fabulous too!

First visit today and oh my was it special. Had my first Turmeric Latte and some fabulous coffee. A small friendly cafe with super knowledgeable staff that really care about what they do. Will definitely return when next in Nottingham. Highly recommended! Love the pink take away cups by the way!

An intimate coffee shop, with excellent beans. Really great for someone traveling looking for a cute shop to touch base in for the day.

Visited for coffee, wanted cold brew but was out of stock, barista offered non diary iced latte - wasn't disappointed. We didn't eat but cakes looked amazing and offered vegan options. Nice vibe, and good range of independent magazines to read.

Although I am very much not a coffee snob (I’m still pretty happy with a £1 Greggs americano) this place has helped me to appreciate really good coffee. The barristers are excellent and the shop is really cute (love the pink). Looking forward to going back.

Had a great visit to Outpost today. Wonderful service and exemplary attention to detail resulted in outstanding V60 coffee - a real gem in the Nottingham coffee scene

Tasty decaf coffee, delicious toasted sandwiches and scrummy cakes, with healthy options too! Great find!

I spotted this place whilst trying to find somewhere to have a quick coffee to kill some time

Cracking little cafe with friendly, bright and breezy staff who we had a quick chat with before placing our order. We succumbed to the vegan cakes on offer, which were pineapple & coconut and a 'crack bar', a raw peanut butter & chocolate slice with dates and pistachio. The sweet selection was delicious, especially the crack bar, which was rich, intense and satisfying. An attractive bottle of water ensured we kept topped up as we enjoyed the oat drink flat white and long coffee.

Certainly a coffee shop that makes espresso to make you less depresso.

I drink for too much coffee in far to many places, but this is by far my favourite. Ran by a great bunch of guys, lots a knowledge on their coffee and couldn't be more accommodating where sitting in or taking away. Being on my route to and from work is dangerous! Also great that they will do discount if you take your own mug to save waste and the environment, and well worth downloading heir handy mobile app.

Having received a glowing recommendation from a friend I was looking forward to sampling the coffee on offer from Outpost but I was disappointed. Whilst the service and value were excellent, the standard of coffee did not match up to expectation.

Have been to any place but always like to come to Outpost Coffee when nearby. Excellent flavoured coffee, just the way I like it. Well worth a visit.

Outpost have been roasting coffee in Nottingham for a while and they now have their own cafe! Simple menu combined with passionate, knowledgeable staff means great coffee every time. The batch brewed filter is a bargain too and there's a discount if you take your own cup

Small and friendly staff. Has a small selection for breakfast but really concentrates on coffee. Drop in and support these small venues to support variety in nottingham

To start this train wreck off with a bang, they for one did not have syrup for any of their drinks. No syrup at all. ok i can maybe let that slide. However i did option for a Hot chocolate. i even took a bigger risk buy buying 2, Oh how wrong i was. First of all the quantity of liquid in each cup was not consistent, but I could give that a pass if the drinks din't taste like burnt a.s.s cocoa beans, I drank the d.a.m.n thing, I payed for it I wasn't gonna let it go to waste, but to top it all off, there was un mixed in clumps of cocoa powder in the bottom of the cup that left a bitter taste in the mouth.

Only a quick initial stop as I was in a rush for work, however the smell of coffee when I went in was divine, my flat white was delicious and one of the best I've had, and it has resulted in many more trips to sample the different brews. Very friendly service.

If you want genuinely great coffee (certain other coffee shops round Nottingham talk the talk but don't deliver) and a friendly environment then this is a fantastic little place.

Very friendly and relaxed. So what is different? They love their coffee. To say you like coffee it is akin to saying you like beer i.e. too generalistic. I like/know my coffee (black no sugar please) but these guys are connoisseurs! Will be returning.

We went on a Sunday and both had cortados and they were both amazing! The staff was super friendly and the coffees were also really well priced! Will definitely be coming back!!

Staff are super welcoming. Pastries all looked amazing but being a poverty student I had to pass up. I went for a flat white and it was genuinely some of the best coffee I have tasted. Perfect steam on the milk, beautifully roasted beans and no bitterness at all. I will definitely come here again next times I'm in Notts

I come here every day not only for the coffee but the pastries. They have really fresh pastries (I love the simple croissant with cheese and also the cakes are delicious). The place is really cosy as well and the staffs are very friendly. I always take my friends here and they love it.

It's nice to see new independent coffee shops popping up in Nottingham, this one has very good coffee and the barista who served us was really friendly ! I'll definitely be back !

Outpost Coffee was the cafe that we'd been hoping to find in Nottingham - a small shop where the baristas are completely passionate about coffee. Outpost are taking the hard path of buying high quality coffee beans and then roasting them in small batches so they can tweak and optimise the roast. They had some beautiful light roast Rwandan coffee, and an amazingly complex fruity Tanzanian coffee. Oh, and the pastries were excellent too ;)

Stopped by after the gym for a great coffee from the guys who know their stuff. Nice little breakfast too. Inexpensive and trying some new things with their own coffee processing. Keep it up.

Just stopped for coffee here and it was fantastic. I'm not a fan of coffee chains and like to support independent coffee shops. These guys care about the coffee and the service they provide. It was a pleasure to stop for a brew and chat. Will be coming here again! 5* coffee 5* food

Outpost were open earlier than posted on Saturday. Lucky us as we were able to grab a coffee before our cinema screenings (8 films in 2 days!). Coffee was high on our agenda and we were thrilled to find the best coffee, with the best guys running the place. Food delicious too. I had a toasted sandwich with sundried tomato and mozzarella.

This place proved to be the highlight of our weekend stay in Nottingham to watch pre-release films at an ICO event nearby. Having found this place first thing on the Saturday for a much needed flat white coffee (which proved to be perfect), we managed to return for another at lunchtime that day - and then twice on Sunday despite a very busy schedule. We also had a very tasty toasted sandwich there for lunch on the second day to round off a very successful weekend from a coffee perspective.

I love this place. This is real coffee! So full of flavour, expertly roasted and prepared. There is just no comparison between the coffee served here and the bland and burnt stuff that passes for coffee at the chains. The baristas are really welcoming and friendly and can tell you all about the beans and the flavour notes. They serve the best batch brew filter coffee I've had anywhere. The cakes are to die for. I had a delicious cinnamon bun. So glad to have such high quality independent places like this in the city centre!

Coffee created with real attention to detail, within a laid back, cosy, side street deep in the heart of Hockley. Seek it out. You won't be disappointed.

I have had a number of coffees from many different chains and independent coffee shops in Nottingham and nothing can top this place.

This place is one of the newest little gems of Nottingham, with a couple of friendly guys that are seriously passionate about coffee and have some great little treats on offer too! We went in a few days ago and had one of their chocolate brownies and a cinnamon sourdough bun, which was recommended to us by the barista. They were both super tasty, and along with our coffees they were a great little delight :)

Great to have a place so close to the lace market that takes real pride in getting the best coffee from everywhere and anywhere. The staff go the extra mile to welcome you in, and the croissants/cakes are the best in the biz!

This lovely little coffee shop in the centre of Hockley Lace Market is a true little treasure. The chaps in there certainly know a thing or two about coffee. It is a joy to see people take real pride in their work and are passionate about what they do.

As primarily coffee roasters they do fully understand what it takes to make great coffee. Walk-in get a takeaway!

No doubt that this is a fabulous coffee shop with all the hallmarks of the the urban coffee grind. But it lets itself down by following the current ubercool trend of piling food up wooden boards to display it. This has two problems:

I found out about this roaster online before a trip to Nottingham. Nestled on a side street in trendy Hockley, the shop was understated. Inside we met the mad scientists behind the excellent coffees. They clearly have researched all things coffee, chemistry and temperature sourcing and technique. Their roasts tend to be lighter and more acidic. One could appreciate various notes within the coffees we sampled, made with the care usually found in winemaking. Coffee geeks should certainly consider a trip to Outpost especially if the Owners are present to inform and entertain. We were lucky to have met them.

Visited with a friend after recommendations and it did not disappoint. The staff are friendly and very knowledgable about their trade - I find at chain cafe's I'm just another number and the staff know nothing about their roast. The coffee is worth your time and would highly recommend to everyone!

The best thing about Outpost Coffee is that you can run in and grab an expertly made coffee and be on your way in 2 mins flat or, if you have time, relax and learn everything there is to know about coffee. Either way your day will be enhanced by the amazing standard of coffee and brewing techniques on display.

I work in the lace market and reguarly bought coffee from the nearby coffee houses... until this place opened up. Now it's the only place I go, it is the best coffee, never burnt, never bitter and even more, it's cheaper than all the rest. It's a place you need to go to if your anywhere in Nottingham.
